This is a very bad sign.

It’s Bachelorette time again, kiddies!

Thanks to ABC, my Monday nights once again have meaning and purpose. With the premiere of Emily Maynard‘s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ I get a brand-new season of crap to make fun of! I’m not even going to pretend like I wasn’t excited about this season. The Ashley had her fingers crossed that the show’s producers would somehow shell out enough cash convince Emily to do the show.

Anyway, Emily’s “Quest For Love” begins with shots of her and her daughter, Ricki, playing in the park. She straight-out tells us right from the start that she’s looking for a baby-daddy for Ricki. Normally, we don’t hear women say this on television, unless it’s during an episode of ‘The Maury Povich Show’ and Maury’s about to bust out the results of a paternity test! ‘Bachelor’ Producer Didn’t Like Ben’s Season Any More Than We Did!

"Ben was a snooze!" "Ouch! That's not very nice, Mike!"

It’s no secret that most fans were less-than-thrilled with the most recent installment of The Bachelor. With the polarizing women, lame group dates (who could forget the nauseating fairytale play episode?) and a Bachelor that was so boring I kept hoping producers would kick him out mid-season and bring ol’ Brad Womack in for a third go of it, needless to say the whole season was a [not so] hot mess.

Also in agreement that Ben’s season was pretty crappy? ‘Bachelor’ producer Mike Fleiss. In a recent interview with the After the Rose blog, Mike revealed that even he found Ben’s season below par.

“I don’t think anyone on the show in terms of the producers was really happy with this last season, with Ben’s season,” he said. “We tried to make the best of it like we always do, but it wasn’t what we set out to make. READ MORE »

Entertainment Tonight was kind enough to share this Exclusive Sneak Peek of the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, giving us insight as to what we can expect from Emily Maynard and her crop of men! The new season starts May 14! (Sorry the video is so small. Click the icon in the bottom right corner to enlarge it!)

The Ashley was a big fan of Emily when she was on The Womack’s season of The Bachelor. (I just like to stare at her. She’s like the perfect woman…and she has really good makeup and hair. Of course, after watching her on the TV, I feel bad about myself for not being perfect like her, but it is what it is.)

Anyway, from the looks of this promo, this season of ‘The Bachelorette’ will have all the staples that we’ve come to expect from this crappy show, including a dramatic entrance on the first night, (Did Bentley show up in a helicopter? ‘Bachelorette’ Ali on Reconciling With Roberto: “Never Say Never”

"So can we?" "Hahaha um...probably not."

Despite their breakup in November, many Bachelorette fans have been clinging to the hope that ill-fated lovebirds Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez may someday get back together. To these people, The Ashley says 1) you need a life and 2) there is hope, however slight.

Ali called into Ryan Seacrest‘s Los Angeles radio station today to talk about her brand-new travel show. (It was just a matter of time before someone gave this chick a TV series.) Of course, the topic quickly swung over to her recent breakup with Roberto, and Ryan asked if there was any chance of the pair working things out and getting back together.

“I would say never say never,” Ali told Ryan on-air. “I don’t know if he thinks that! Maybe he thinks ‘no way, I would never get back in that relationship!’” READ MORE »

New ‘Bachelorette’ Emily Maynard Films First Rose Ceremony!

Some Bachelor franchise fans haven’t even finished watching the final episode of Ben’s season on their DVRs yet, but the show’s producers have already started production on the next season!

New Bachelorette star Emily Maynard began filming for her season tonight at a mansion in North Carolina. (Click here for all the details on Emily’s dream house!) The filming began at sundown and will go into the wee hours of the morning, as per usual with most of the show’s cocktail parties (although from what former contestants have told The Ashley, the first night is notoriously long, often going until 5 a.m.)

“We start at sundown…more romantic,” producers Mike Fleiss tweeted around midnight. “The real-life version of The Vow is unfolding right before our eyes…”

"It was even worse than the time I spent dating Brad Womack!"

During last night’s three-hour-long Bachelor finale/torture session, fans got to catch up with former Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert and her fiance J.P Rosenbaum, who sat down with The Harrison to discuss what their lives have been like since their season of the show aired.

They didn’t reveal anything super exciting, just that Ashley finished school and they’re planning to be married by next year (I’m holding my breath!) They also discussed how horrible the media scrutiny is for the star of these shows, which was honestly the only interesting part of the whole “After the Final Rose” special. (More on that and the finale later!)

This morning, Ashley took to her new blog to give us further details on how bad things actually got while she was the ‘Bachelorette.’

“The airing of my season of ‘The Bachelorette’ was one of the darkest memories of my life,” she wrote. “Even though I had an amazing man to help me through it, I couldn’t help but wonder why I was being mistreated by people I trusted, by one of the guys, and now, America. READ MORE »

Being The Bachelorette has its perks. You get to fly around the world on ABC’s dime (and in their helicopter, of course), live in a ginormous house and pretty much live a fantasy life for a few months. (Of course, you do have 25 jerkboxes trying to bone you on the regular so I guess it comes out about even.)

Anyway, the show’s producers have gone all out to make Southern belle Emily feel comfortable in her new role, even moving the show’s production to her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, so that she wouldn’t have to leave her daughter, Rikki. They’ve also hooked her up big time in the house department!

According to a story on the website for North Carolina radio station WSOC, the mansion that Emily’s suitors will stay at is a 12,000-square-foot, six bedroom, eight-and-a-half bathroom palace, with a ballroom for rose ceremonies and a pool and hot tub for getting freaky! It’s Official! Emily Maynard is the New ‘Bachelorette!’

"I'm in charge of the roses now!"

For the first time in probably four seasons of The Bachelor/The Bachelorette, The Ashley can say that she is thrilled with a choice that the show’s producers have made!

People magazine is reporting that Emily Maynard is going to be the next ‘Bachelorette!’ (You can usually trust People. Unlike other celebrity magazines, they don’t run their mouths unless they are sure about a story.) Several other sources are confirming that Emily has signed on for the show.

The Ashley is shocked that the producers were able to convince Emily to do another season of the show. Back in July, she took to her Twitter to dismiss the rumors that were circulating that she would be the next ‘Bachelorette,’ telling her followers, “I don’t want to be the next Bachelorette.”

Obviously things have changed (and likely big bucks were shelled out!) Emily is now on board. According to People, the production of the show will be moved to North Carolina, as Emily was reluctant to sign on because she didn’t want to leave her young daughter, Ricki, to do the show in Los Angeles. ‘Bachelor Pad’ Star Kasey Kahl Arrested For Being Drunk & Disorderly!

That's the happiest mugshot ever!

Being drunk and disorderly at the Bachelor Pad mansion is pretty much a requirement, but acting that way in public can get you in trouble, as Kasey Kahl learned last night!

Kasey was arrested for allegedly being “drunk and disorderly” at Club Habanos, a Fresno, California, nightclub, according to TMZ.

Kasey, who is from Fresno but lives in Los Angeles, flew up north on January 14 to see family and apparently got a little too wild on his night out in ‘da club’ on Sunday.

Obviously, he didn’t have anyone there to “guard and protect his heart liver” and he allegedly made a scene and got thrown in the drunk tank. READ MORE »

Former ‘Bachelorette’ Ashley Hebert Becomes a Doctor!

"That's Doctor Bachelorette to you!"

Former Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert has joined the short list of ‘Bachelor’ franchise stars that have actually done something with their lives (other than going on other reality shows, of course.)

Last week Ashley graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with her DMD degree. (That stands for “Doctor of Dental Medicine,” for those of you who are too lazy to look it up!)

This means that Ashley can officially be called Dr. Hebert now! Her fiance from ‘The Bachelorette,’ J.P. Rosenbaum, tweeted that she will “eventually be Dr. Rosenbaum.” (Hmm…that is if they can beat the Curse of the ‘Bachelor’…I’m not holding my breath.)

Ashley, who started dental school before going on the “Brad Womack Take 2″ season of The Bachelor, had to take a few months off from her dental schooling to star as ‘The Bachelorette’ last season. After filming was completed, Ashley had to deal with the paparazzi following her to and from class.

“They wait outside my apartment for when I leave in the morning and they wait outside school for when I go home,” she told the Philadelphia Inquirer back in July. READ MORE »
