First of all, let me remind you how much The Ashley loves Adam Lambert. She finds him incredibly talented, unique and amazingly gorgeous. But girlfriend needs to pop a Midol and stop PMSing.

Adam got downright bitchy when he was asked by The Hollywood Reporter about fellow American Idol high note-achiever James Durbin.

 “[I’m] kind of over James. “I think he’s got talent and passion 100 percent, but I feel like he’s trying way too hard.”

Ouch. That’s pretty harsh, but Adam was just getting started on his tearing apart of James. Next, he got all Randy Jackson on him, saying that James is a “bit pitchy.”

“When he did that “Heavy Metal” song [by Sammy Hagar], James was note-perfect. He was on pitch, which is usually kind of an issue, and I think he sounded really good, but it felt like a copycat. I didn’t feel like I was seeing an original artist yet.”

Finally, he scolded James for not doing what Jimmy Iovine said:

“You can stick to your guns, like James did when he was arguing with Jimmy Iovine, but I also feel like: ‘You’re new to this, dude. Listen up!’ ”  

Jesus, retract your cat claws, Adam.

James took it like a pro. When he was asked by an MTV reporter if he thought Adam’s harsh quotes may have played a part in James being eliminated, he told him, “I was nothing more than nice to that guy. You know, he decided to take it to a different level. So, whatever. I don’t know what the comparison is all about. He sings pop and electronica, and I sing rock and roll.”

Adam has long been vocal in his backing of Haley Reinhart, and is no doubt tired of being compared James Durbin, but was it really necessary for him to say such mean things about the singer?
