We’ve learned what it’s like Being Maci, Being Catelynn, even Being Farrah and now it’s time to see what it’s like Being Dad!

That’s right kids, the second-ever Teen Mom “Dads” special is set to air this Sunday night on MTV, and The Ashley has exclusive details on what it will include!

This new special will be similar to the last ‘Teen Dad’ special, which was filmed in 2011 and featured Gary Shirley, Jo Rivera, Corey Simms, Adam Lind, Ryan Edwards and Tyler Baltierra talking about their experiences in fatherhood. Unlike the last ‘Teen Dad’ special, ‘Being Dad’ will have the same “behind-the-scenes” feel as the “Being Maci” and other specials and was not shot in front of a studio audience. The interviews were taken at the guys’ homes and feature candid conversations about fatherhood.

While fathers from ‘Teen Mom’ and ‘Teen Mom 2’ will be featured, no dads from Teen Mom 3 will take part in the special.

The interviews and footage shown on ‘Being Dad’ will be relatively current (unlike the episodes of ‘Teen Mom 2,’ which are generally shown almost a year after they are filmed). The dads did their interviews in late-March, early April.

In the past, the fathers of this franchise have certainly gotten the short end of the stick in terms of editing, in The Ashley’s opinion. Fans (and the guys themselves) have long complained that the men are edited to look bad while the teen moms are edited to look good. Hopefully the ‘Being Dad’ special will provide insight into what their lives are really like as young fathers.

Let’s hope that Gary will regale us once again with tales of how he once tried to use Saran Wrap as birth control when he ran out of condoms.
