Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfriend met, fell in love and got engaged in front of America while on The Bachelorette, but they finally did something in private– got married.
E! News has confirmed that Des and Chris tied the knot today at a church in Palos Verdes, California. (This is an interesting location choice, given that the couple resides in Seattle. For those of you who aren’t familiar with California, Palos Verdes is very close to Los Angeles.)
“The bride wore a one-shoulder lace dress by Maggie Sottero with a sheer overlay at the neckline, ” the site reported. “In the back was a long train that automatically turned heads.” (Des, who designs for the line, was supposedly planning to wear a vintage dress for the cocktail reception.)
Before getting hitched, Des and Chris revealed that Chris would be wearing a gray suit for the wedding, and that Desiree’s bridesmaids would be dressed in berry-colored gowns.
Several members of the “Bachelor Nation” were to be a part of the wedding. Tasos Hernandez (of Bachelor in Paradise fame) was to be the DJ, and ‘Bachelor’ producer Amy Bean would be a bridesmaid. Also standing up next to Desiree on her big day was Daniella McBride, whom Des met during her time on Sean Lowe‘s season of ‘The Bachelor.’ It’s not known which ‘Bachelor’ people attended the wedding, as everyone has been virtually silent about it on social networks.
Desiree and Chris didn’t have a made-for-TV wedding a la Sean and Catherine, but it wasn’t exactly by choice. According to Reality Steve, the couple wanted to have their wedding televised, but the network wasn’t all that interested. They will, however, be selling their wedding photos to Us Weekly. (The issue will hit newsstands on Wednesday, January 21, in case you care.)
The couple has managed to make it to the alter, a feat that many a ‘Bachelor’ franchise couple has been unable to accomplish. Just last week, ‘Bachelorette’ Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray announced they had split. A few months before that, ‘Bachelor’ star Juan Pablo Galavis and his “pick,” Nikki Ferrell, broke up.
Desiree and Chris have said that they plan to adopt a child after their wedding, so there may be a new little member of “Bachelor Nation” coming along soon.
Congrats to the happy couple!

I dont think anyone cared b/c he was clearly her backup plan and everyone knew it. Probably why the station didnt want to invest in them – Plus no one fell in love with them as people separately, let alone together as a couple.
Strange, I would think the people who made this crappy show would be all over it “See guys… we told you, this thing works!”.
