MTV’s stock of reality TV stars came out to support the network on Monday, walking the red carpet and attending the 2019 VMAs. The awards show– in its 33rd year– featured plenty of newsworthy performances…but the real show was out on the red carpet before the broadcast even started.
Most of MTV’s major reality TV shows had at least a few cast members representing for their brand, including Jersey Shore Family Vacation, Floribama Shore, The Hills: New Beginnings and Teen Mom 2.
(This year’s ‘Teen Mom’ attendee turnout was significantly less than in years past. Only Kail Lowry and Leah Messer— both dressed in bras, as you do— attended out of all the shows’ cast members.)
Noticeably absent was ‘Teen Mom’ castoff Farrah Abraham (and her constant red carpet accessory, daughter Sophia). This marks the first time in years that the Backdoor Teen Mom did not attend an MTV awards show.
Despite all of the star power at the event, the 2019 edition of MTV’s Video Music Awards failed to deliver in the ratings. In fact, this year’s show scored the lowest ratings in the show’s history, according toThe Hollywood Reporter.

Wow teen moms you win the award for worst dressed reality stars on MTV. Looking trashier then the gals from Floribama Shore and Jersey Shore is no easy feat but you pulled it off!
Perhaps unpopular opinion, but I think Leah’s outfit was worse than Kailyn’s. That bedazzled and pearl “top” was tragic.
