The cast of The Hills: New Beginnings hit the slopes in Lake Tahoe last week as filming of Season 2 finally resumed.
Among those spotted during the skiing and snowboarding outing, according to The Daily Mail, were Brody Jenner, Brandon Thomas Lee, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and even Gunner Pratt – Speidi’s three-year-old son – who took part in ski school.
“So fun to take [Gunner] on such amazing work trip (also thank you God that filming #thehills #thehillsnewbeginnings can even be called work!),” Spencer wrote Friday on Instagram.
Also along for the trip was Brandon’s girlfriend Daniella Beckerman, though it’s unclear if she will appear on the upcoming season.

Brody shared some snapshots from the trip as well, telling followers he’s “always up to snow good.”
The weekend prior, Brody was seen filming in warmer weather with former Laguna Beach/The Hills star, Kristin Cavallari. The two reportedly filmed on the beach in Malibu before Kristin enjoyed some drinks and dancing with Heidi on Instagram Live.
While Kristin’s former co-stars have pushed for her to return to ‘The Hills’ following her split from husband Jay Cutler and the end of her E! reality show, Very Cavallari, according to Page Six, Kristin will not be a full-time cast member for Season 2.
“She’s only doing two episodes since Heidi and Audrina [Patridge] did ‘Very Cavallari,’” a source said.
(The ‘Very Cavallari’ episode featuring Heidi and Audrina aired last year.)
Kristin confirmed her Season 2 appearance on ‘The Hills’ in March 2020 during an interview with ET.
“Yeah, I’m going to make an appearance on ‘The Hills,” she said. “I don’t know what I can and can’t say. Clearly, I just say always so much, but people expect that from me.
“I’m excited,” she continued. “I’m actually very excited. I think it’s going to be fun to go back and see the old gang and, yeah, I’m looking forward to it.”
In October, it was reported that ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ was to resume filming in two to four weeks and that Brody had been the one who vetoed the idea of filming outside of Los Angeles.
As The Ashley previously told you, ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ was three episodes into production on Season 2 when filming was halted in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In June, it was announced that filming would resume at the end of July or early August; however, in mid-July, MTV reportedly put an indefinite hold on production, despite producers taking extreme safety precautions and adhering to county and network guidelines.
While filming didn’t happen in August, conversations between Brody’s team and the network reportedly did, with Brody insisting that production remain in Los Angeles. The reason, he explained, was the show’s focus being on the cast and their lives in L.A., not a random location. He also stated at the time that he was willing to wait and resume filming once a COVID-19 vaccine was available.

File this show under “Nobody Cares”.
If it weren’t for Brody, Brandon, Caitlin and KC making an appearance, I wouldn’t be giving this show a 2nd chance lol. Aside from Brody and Brandon, last season was BORING…and thank God Stephanie isnt coming back. I still think they should get rid of everyone else and just give Brody and Brandon a spin off. Their friends seemed like more fun, and their drama seemed less forced for a storyline…like the one girl telling Brandon he should win a Grammy because he’s such a good actor, and she was dead serious…HA!
Broody Jenner calling the shots like people are watching for him. The self confidence is real in him. It’s all about Speidi, Brandon and hopefully Brodie Jenners mother/ex wife/brother.
