Angela Deem of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? never holds back from singing husband Michael Ilesanmi’s praises, but she recently admitted that at one point, she considered divorcing the 32-year-old.
During an interview with ET, the 54-year-old revealed that between navigating a long distance relationship with her Nigerian husband and him not being in favor of her recent weight loss surgery, she “was definitely talking to the lawyer.”
In fact, Angela described her first year of marriage to Michael as “hell.”
“I said, ‘I’m not gonna put up with this. If I put up with this with him all the way over there, what’s it gonna be like here?’” Angela said, adding that she even told Michael that he had changed after they said ‘I do.’
“[I warned him that] there’s always a damn divorce court around the corner,” she said.
“I mean, we went to hell,” she added. “We literally went to hell and it was bad and you’ll see that [on ‘Happily Ever After?’].”
Part of the “hell,” Angela claimed, was Michael not answering her phone calls, which eventually led her to “get a tracker on his phone” – something viewers will get to see on the upcoming season.
“I said he’s doing something and whether it’s not bad or not, it’s still upsetting me,” Angela said of the phone drama.
Angela, who revealed a dramatic new look earlier this year, also blamed Michael for intentionally pushing her buttons.
“Michael always gives me a reason to explode,” she said. “He knows how to get me. I think he likes when I get upset because it shows that I care about him in some crazy way.”
Even with all their ups and down, Angela is optimistic that Michael will receive his visa and finally be able to come to the U.S. to be with her so the two of them can live happily ever after, despite what the critics say.

“I know deep in my heart we love each other and we got a lot of stuff to work out, but we can’t do it long distance, you just can’t,” she said. “We made it this far, we’re probably going to have more bumps … We’re gonna have our ups and downs, still, that’s part of being married at the first year. Even though we’re married a year, it’s really not a year until we plant our feet down together … the basic stuff that you have to get used to living together.
“I think we’ll be alright,” she added. “I just think that we … have stories and stories ahead of us.”
Season 6 of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” premieres April 25 on TLC.

She’s quality trash TV.
Man she might have a temper but I love that shes a no bull shit tell it like it is kindof person. Aint no one walking all over Angie
Yeah, Anguluh was going to divorce Mahkull…
Until they told her she wouldn’t be on 90 Day Fiance or on that Discovery+ Single Life show because no one watches for her – we were only watching to support Mahkull in his quest to come to America.
Then all of a sudden that trashbag abuser was willing to be married to Mahkull.
This has been said before but the way she explodes at him, shoving cake into his face…that one time the female translator came to their apartment & Angela told her to only look at her & not Michael really got me. It’s obvious abusive behavior.
Micheal could only dream of being lucky enough to get away from Angie.
She’s not divorcing anyone. That’d mean she’d be off the show – no way are her or Mykul gettin off this money train!
