Josh Hall is standing by his woman!
The new husband of Flip or Flop star Christina Haack recently took to Instagram to defend his wife, after one of Christina’s ex-husbands accused her of creating a dangerous environment for her son and putting him at risk.
As The Ashley previously reported, Ant Anstead— whom Christina divorced in 2020 after less than two years of marriage— recently filed for a modification to the custody plan they have for their son Hudson. He asked for full custody and claimed that Christina has only spent an average of nine full days each month with their son over the last 20 months.
Ant’s bid for full custody was later denied, but the exes are set to battle it out in court in June.
In the meantime, Josh is defending Christina, discussing on Instagram how hard it has been to blend families, given that Christina has kids by both of her two ex-husbands. (She also shares two children with ex Tarek El Moussa.)
“Never did I think taking on 3 kids from 2 other males would be easy,” Josh wrote over the weekend. “What I was sure of, the woman connected to them was worth it all. I am not these kids biological father, they have those. What I will be is the best example of a quality human being, always show them how to treat their mother with respect and support them in any way I can during their development. Coming from a split home myself, I know it’s not easy on youngsters, but in todays world sadly, it’s pretty common.”
Josh seemed to be referencing Ant’s recent filing in the next portion of his post.
“So Christina and I will always remain unfazed by any outside noise and save the kids from any unnecessary trauma.”
He also praised the former ‘Flip or Flop’ star’s ability to blend her career and duties as a mother.
“Christina is a very driven and incredible woman who has an ability to brush anything off and keep herself composed while being a positive influence in these kids’ lives while achieving success in anything she does,” Josh wrote. “I admire her greatly for that…especially watching my own mother do the same for my siblings and I growing up, I can appreciate it.
“There is a lot that goes on in personal lives that isn’t for public consumption, therefore not shared, kept private. So trust me as someone who likes to keep a low profile, no one except those directly involved knows jack about any situation more than them. 2 sides and the truth.”
At the end of the post, Josh promised that he would defend Christina. He later limited the comments on his post.
“I will always protect her, keep her safe and no one will hurt her with me in the picture. She doesn’t bother anyone, she deserves the same in return. I will ensure that’s the case.”
In an interview with TMZ following Ant’s filing, Christina scolded Ant for making their custody fight public.
“What Ant is doing deeply saddens me,” she told the site. “If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested. I have had my share of ups and downs but I am a good mom and I love my children with all my heart and I will always protect them.”
Josh and Christina had a rather whirlwind relationship, with the Christina on the Coast star announcing their engagement in September 2021, just a year after her split from Ant. Christina previously revealed on Instagram that she and Josh met in the spring and had been together for a few months before the engagement.
Last month it was revealed (via the change of Christina’s last name— to Hall— on her real estate license) that Christina and Josh had gotten married privately sometime in the last six months.

Sounds like Christina wrote that on his Instagram or at least helped with the wording.
Christina doesn’t seem like a good mother, wife or even person. The newest dude, Josh, hasn’t even been around long enough to base a thorough picture of her character and what type of person she is. A narcissist can fake that they are the perfect person for quite awhile before the mask falls and then their newest victim is left behind and left Traumatized. Sort of like Ant. While yes, “one sunburn” isn’t grounds to take their son, it is worrisome and as a mother, if I was spending 9 days average each month with my TWO year old, I would expect his father to file for custody. I have a two year old and he needs a TON of attention and honestly, really needs his mom. She seems to put more effort into her fleeting relationships than she does being a parent and she should’ve stayed single for awhile and focused on her and the kids before jumping into ANOTHER quick marriage with a guy that hardly knows her. I am expecting news that she’s pregnant again, personally and poor Hudson will be a forgotten memory for her. That just seems to be how she works. It’s really sad. I hope Ant gets custody personally because even though yes, he needs his mom, he needs a PRESENT mother who isn’t concerned just about herself and galivanting around with her flavor of the week.
This man doesn’t have kids, they have fathers who are EXTREMELY active in their lives. And is trying to talk about what a good role model he can be.
I wonder when she’s on to the next man in about two years, what he will be saying then.
I mean, it’s nice that her husband is defending her…but he hasn’t known her long enough to have established any real opinion on her let alone Tarek or Ant. Christina really should have taken the time alone to work on herself and build a stronger relationship with her little ones. Adding this new person isn’t doing anyone any favors. JMO.
Josh Hall seems like such a D-bag from that statement. “Children from 2 other males”…not fathers, dads or ex-husbands?? What a weird and disrespectful things to say. Take your white knight BS elsewhere dude, she’ll toss you to the curb just like she did the last two when the excitement wears off.
