Sammi Giancola shocked the reality TV world over the weekend when she announced (and MTV confirmed) that she has finally joined the cast of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, after years of refusing to do the spin-off. Sammi posted several photos of herself in front of a green screen while announcing her return, leading some fans to believe that she will only be doing an interview for the new season.
However, The Ashley can confirm that is not true. Photos obtained by The Ashley show Sammi filming with the cast at a ski resort in Pennsylvania over the weekend, just like a regular cast member.
“Sammi was very much part of the cast and everyone was treating her like no time had passed,” one person close to production told The Ashley. “It’s a huge deal that she is there, for the rest of the cast especially.”
Although Sammi’s ex, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, is not there currently, the rest of the OG cast members are all there and filming, including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “Jwoww” Farley, Angelina Pivarnick, Deena Cortese, Pauly D, Vinny Guadagnino and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.
Anyway, in photos taken of the cast, Sammi can be seen buying Girl Scout cookies with Angelina, Jenni, Mike and Nicole.
The cast has been staying at the resort in Pennsylvania and mingling with the other guests.
“They try to take photos with everyone who asks and have been really nice to the other [guests] staying here,” one person currently at the resort told The Ashley on Monday.

Sammi also seems to have repaired her relationships with her former ‘Jersey Shore’ roomies. Nicole reported back in September that Sammi had “blocked” her on social media (possibly because Sammi was tired of Nicole & Co. trying to woo her back to ‘Jersey Shore’). However, as of press time, Sammi is once again following Nicole, as well as Mike, Angelina, Vinny, Pauly D, Deena, Jenni and Mike.

Excited to see her back on screen…I’ll probably tune in now, I just hope MTV keeps Ron far away from her. It was all fun and games with her and Ron back in the day because we didn’t know any better…watching their stuff back now is fucking disturbing. That relationship was toxic as hell.
I always guessed she was staying away because of Ron. Not shocking she’s back when he’s not filming.
