Ariana Madix kicked off Weekend 1 of Coachella with a bae bang.
The Vanderpump Rules star–- who is newly single after discovering in March that her boyfriend of nearly a decade, Tom Sandoval, was having an affair with their ‘VPR’ co-star Raquel Leviss–- headed to the California desert over the weekend to enjoy some music and get cozy with a new man.
According to TMZ, Ariana was spotted on Day 3 of the festival making out with Daniel Wai, a fitness coach who she had been posting photos with since Day 1 of Coachella.

Before the two were caught on camera mackin’ to the music, they took to social media to show off their matching sneakers and later, the two got close for a selfie while waiting for Frank Ocean to take the stage. Ariana also posted a photo to her Instagram Story on Friday that showed her holding hands with someone who was all but confirmed to be Daniel.
Daniel also joined Ariana in hanging out with some of the ‘VPR’ crew. He and Ariana were seen sitting next to each other in a group photo posted to Scheana Shay‘s Instagram Story over the weekend; they posed for a couple of Polaroids together, too, which were shared in an Instagram post by former ‘VPR’ cast member Dayna Kathan.
While it has not been confirmed when Ariana and Daniel met, the two were both in Mexico in March, seemingly attending the same wedding.
Despite their Coachella closeness, People reports that Ariana and Daniel are not in a relationship.
“Ariana just got out of a long relationship and isn’t jumping into anything serious,” a source told the outlet. “What you see is a woman who is single and having fun.”
As for the two Scandoval culprits, they did not attend Coachella. (At least not yet, anyway.)
Instead, Sandoval reportedly spent Friday attending the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show held at the Anaheim Convention Center, and, as The Ashley told you last week, Raquel’s rep said his client has voluntarily checked herself into a mental health facility for “mental health and trauma therapy.”
