Lindsie Chrisley is single… and setting some boundaries.
According to People, the former Chrisley Knows Best star has split from her boyfriend Trent Weiser after nearly a year of dating and is now focused on “healing to be the best version of herself.”
“There was no cheating involved in the decision to split,” a source close to the former couple told the outlet. “An outside influence was a leading factor in the breakup.”
Despite rumors claiming otherwise, the source claims that Lindsie did not end her relationship with Trent in order to reconcile with ex-husband Will Campbell, with whom she shares son Jackson.
“[Lindsie and Will] still have a positive co-parenting relationship and are a support for one another as they continue their 13-year-long friendship,” the source added.
On this week’s episode of The Southern Tea podcast, Lindsie– who also hosts the Coffee Convos podcast with former Teen Mom 2 star Kail Lowry– seemingly addressed the rumors circulating online about her relationship as she called out those who take to social media to spread false information about others.
“I just don’t understand how people can go online and be so nasty and also make up false stuff that is just completely not the narrative whatsoever and feel comfortable about doing that to human beings,” she said. “I don’t get it.”
Lindsie went on to say that she plans to change what she shares with the public going forward in an effort to protect her mental health.
“ … there’s certain things in my life at this point that I just so desire to hold sacred, and that’s not to be a gatekeeper by any means, but it truly is for the best interest of my mental health and the mental health of those people who are around me for me to hold some of those moments just very sacred,” she said.
Later in the podcast, Lindsie revealed that she had gotten emotional while venting to a friend the previous night, but wasn’t sure if she was crying out of anger and frustration, or sadness.
“What I can tell you is I’m in between the emotion of pulling a Britney Spears with a shaved head and the golf club and just being an absolute recluse and not leaving my house,” she said.
She also vowed to no longer “entertain any of the stuff online,” as it’s not good for her mental health, before reiterating that she plans to be more private when it comes to sharing certain content with the public.
“I’m no longer going to be sharing certain aspects of my life because that’s not in my best interest and not in the best interest of my mental health or others who are involved,” she continued. “I’m just truly trying to take a moment and reel everything back in and figure out exactly where the wheels fell off the wagon and going to try to move forward from there … .”
