Down Home Fab returns to HGTV next month with a new season of disco-ball-themed renovations and home transformations by Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer.
This week, HGTV revealed that Season 2 of ‘Down Home Fab’ will premiere March 21, featuring eight hour-long episodes of Cole and Chelsea getting their renovation on in their hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
As The Ashley told you last year, HGTV officially green-lit Season 2 of the former Teen Mom 2 couple’s show after ‘Down Home Fab’ became the network’s highest-rated freshman series since May 2022. The show’s impressive rating prompted the (relatively-rare) mid-season renewal.
Viewers will watch as the couple work together on construction projects, while raising their four children on the farm.
According to HGTV, Season 2 of ‘Down Home Fab’ will kick off with Chelsea and Cole renovating a house for a widower and his three young children, who recently lost their mother to cancer.
The DeBoers will refresh the family’s space with a rustic industrial-inspired renovation, while honoring the memories of the homeowner’s late wife. The couple will also design a play space and themed bedrooms for the three children.
When discussing what’s in store for the DeBoer family in Season 2, Chelsea–- who announced in October that she and Cole will be opening a home decor store in Tea, South Dakota, later this year–- revealed last year that her oldest daughter, Aubree, had expressed interest in having a bigger role on ‘Down Home Fab’ than she did in Season 1.
“I think we’re gonna be filming Season 2 [of ‘Down Home Fab’] a lot in the summer and [Aubree] wants to be a part of it,” Chelsea said last spring. “She’s said that multiple times. She’s so creative and artistic. I could definitely see her really getting into this. And so it will be fun to incorporate her as she gets older into our projects and more of [our home dećor line] Aubree Says.”
To promote the upcoming season, Chelsea and Cole made an appearance on Jennifer Hudson‘s talk show, telling the singer that they began their relationship with HGTV after Chelsea “slid into the network’s DMs.”
A screenshot of the actual message Chelsea sent the HGTV Instagram account in March 2020 was then shown on-screen. Chelsea reposted the screenshot, jokingly adding, “It’s that easy!”
Season 2 of ‘Down Home Fab’ premieres Thursday, March 21 on HGTV. New episodes will be available to stream the same day on Max.

I’m not a huge fan of her style, but I do think its great that she found a way to still be on TV & keep some privacy for her family.
I was never really a Chelsea fan. I always thought that she got really good edits from MTV. But I’m happy for her that she found Cole and it’s nice to see their season re-newed.
Same.
She did well in life.
