Big Brother couple Memphis Garrett and Christmas Abbott are ending their marriage.
Christmas and Memphis– who met on Season 22 of ‘Big Brother’– confirmed their relationship after the season ended and went on to marry in May 2022.
According to People, Memphis filed for divorce March 1, a week after Christmas was granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order against her husband of less than two years. Memphis is citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.
He also asks in his filing that Christmas be awarded no alimony.
TMZ reports that infidelity and lying are at the core of the couple’s split, and that Christmas has been asking Memphis for a divorce for several months.

“It is unfortunate that the actions and intentions of individuals involved in this situation have led to the exposure of personal and sensitive information,” Christmas told People. “I believe that matters of this nature should be resolved in a private and respectful manner. I ask for privacy at this time to focus on my family.”
Memphis has allegedly suspected infidelity in the marriage as well, and believes his wife has been unfaithful for the last six months. He also believes his wife made up the recent domestic violence claims in an effort to involve the police– who ultimately escorted Memphis from his and Christmas’s home, along with his son, River.

(Christmas also has a son, but the couple do not share any children together.)
“My heart hurts,” Memphis told TMZ of the split. “I did not want to have to file for divorce. I was doing everything in my power to work on our marriage. I only wish the very best in life for her and [her son] Loyal.”

Christmas has reportedly been granted occupancy of the family’s Fort Lauderdale, Florida, home.
Interestingly, just a 16 days before filing for divorce, Memphis posted a Valentine’s Day tribute to Christmas.
“We don’t have any fun!❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day babe! We choose love every day and I wouldn’t want it any other way. #final2forever,” he captioned a slideshow of photos of him and Christmas.
While Memphis’ tribute to Christmas (as well as other photos of their family) remain on his Instagram, Christmas has wiped her social media account clean of any pics of Memphis.
When a follower asked her why she “erased” that part of her life, Christmas responded, “It isn’t erased, only removed from a daily reminder public display.”
