Teen Mom Family Reunion viewers (all dozen or so of them) had a lot to say about Cheyenne Floyd‘s treatment toward Mackenzie McKee during the last two episodes of the MTV show and, on Wednesday, Cheyenne hopped on Instagram to address whether or not it was the show’s editing that made her seem like a “bully” and a “mean girl” to Mackenzie.
Cheyenne stated that she didn’t feel like the show’s editing made her look angry, and that she was, indeed, mad when Mackenzie showed up to the cast’s house in Colombia.
“It is a TV show, and I think editing and the music and, like, the back-and-forth panning of the cameras all play a part in the perception of how things happened. But, at the end of the day, looking at it, and seeing my personal reactions, I would say I wasn’t necessarily nice [to Mackenzie],” she said.
“I think I was still in a really angry place,” she continued. “As much as I wanted to think in my head that I was mature and over it, I don’t think I was. I think seeing her that night– the first night— and the energy she had towards me, just automatically made me shut down again.
“I don’t think the show portrayed it any different than it happened.”
As fans of the long-in-the-tooth show know, Mackenzie and Cheyenne had a very public fallout in 2021, after Mackenzie (who was, at the time, appearing with Chey on Teen Mom OG) shared on her private Facebook page that she disapproved on the newly elected Vice President Kamala Harris. She called the VP a “colored woman,” and was seemingly unaware that she used a racially offensive term.
Mackenzie apologized publicly, and called Cheyenne to apologize as well, but said additional things in that conversation that offended Cheyenne. That led Cheyenne to tweet about “ignorance,” low-key shading Mack. On a previous episode of ‘Family Reunion,’ Cheyenne claimed that her fight with Mackenzie caused fans to harass her and her family at home and at their jobs. (You can read all about it here.)
Anyway, on Wednesday, Cheyenne admitted that the show’s editors did add in a few things to make the tension feel even heavier than it was between her and Mack.
“I do think that the daunting music, and then the panning of, like, going from her face to my face [made it look worse],” she said. “…My face, it tells everything. I don’t have to say how I feel, my face will tell you.
“I definitely think you have to watch the season to see how it all plays out…we definitely went a little while without speaking. We definitely talked,” she said.
Viewers watched one of those conversations go down during Wednesday’s episode. Mackenzie attempted to have a one-on-one talk with Cheyenne about what went down, only to be met with some very chilly vibes— and words— from a sunbathing Cheyenne.
During the scene, Mackenzie seems to be taking accountability for what happened, but Cheyenne brushes her off. Cheyenne then tells some of the other cast members that she thinks Mackenzie is lying about certain things.
On Instagram on Wednesday, Cheyenne admitted that she and Mack both struggled when Mackenzie first arrived at the house, and stated that she played off the vibes that Mackenzie brought into the house toward her.
“As far as answering if we’re good now, I think you just have to watch it to see how it plays out. It wasn’t easy for either one of us,” she said.
Mackenzie also addressed the situation during an Instagram Q&A posted after the episode aired. She was asked how she felt when she walked into the house and started filming again for the first time in years.
“It was one of those moments where I felt like, because of my mistake, there was no right way,” Mackenzie wrote. “If I walked right in and hugged everyone, that may come off like I feel like I did nothing wrong and wanted to sweep it under the rug. Or what if people didn’t want me hugging them, that’s crossing body boundaries.
“Watching it, I do wish I was more of my bubbly self,” she continued. “But it was evident that they were not too excited I was there.”
Some fans, however, struck out at Cheyenne on Twitter for being a “mean girl” to Mackenzie when she was trying to apologize.
“So Cheyenne should never forgive MacKenzie? Never is a little drastic,” one person wrote. “Move on. Cheyenne isn’t the friendliest of the group either.”
“Cheyenne is being so rude to Mackenzie. Mackenzie is trying to be mature and apologize but of course Cheyenne has to be a bitch. Cheyenne needs to go,” someone else wrote.
Cheyenne is starting to become a lease favorite of the show for me. Stop being a mean girl and do what you went there to do…work on YOUR relationship! She just wanted the satisfaction of Mackenzie coming to her,” another tweeted.

There’s nothing else MacKenzie could of done, then Cheyenne calling MacKenzie a liar, wow Cheyenne is such a b.i.t.c.h
Cheyenne was never a teen mom, how tf did she even get on this show?
For hating Mac so much, Chey sure did her a huge favor.
Now Mac has support and sympathy,
And everyone now sees Chey for the racist entitled bitch she is.
Her and her criminal husband.
I just watched a recap of how Cheyenne treated Mackenzie on the episode and I am DISGUSTED! absolutely unacceptable! Shame on her!
She keeps bringing up race and color, and she is the one talking about killing white babies, black boyfriends, and white tears. Again, if it was reversed , there would be an uproar. What privilege allows her special privilege?
???
MTV fires others for racist comments. I respect that. However why was this racist bitch not fired for wanting to kill white babies? Double standards should not be tolerated.
Chey is just a hateful person and coming from wealth just solidifies her hate towards people not as rich. Just always comes off that way whether on show or social media. Makes you wonder if she’s more hateful than we see. I don’t get why she’s still on the show unless she’s paying to stay on. They’ve dropped other members for less.
I notice Jade is following around Cheyenne like a lost puppy dog on the new show. I wonder if Jade realizes how rich Cheyenne’s family is? She really doesn’t need MTV money.
She is the very definition of a complete hypocrite.
Exact quote that Cheyenne said “My mom said I can’t see The Help, she knows I already have a problem with white people,” Floyd wrote in another.
“Last night I saw it and I wanted to kill every white person I saw,” she added.
In addition to those remarks, Cheyenne reposted a tweet that describes her and a friend as “nazi-loving, black power-having, ‘kill-a-white-baby-if-i-could’ people”
She needs to step down off of her superiority complex she seems to have.
It’s honestly sad that people truly think that ALL colors can’t be “racist”. They absolutely can and absolutely are. Cheyenne included. IN fact, she is radically racist IMO. To say you’d kill a “white baby”? Like, c’mon. You “already have a problem with white people” as a whole? Oh okay. She needs to calm down. I think more often than not, people view and judge people by their character, actions, behavior and choices- and obviously people are going to be from all walks of life. It doesn’t always have to do with color/gender/religion etcetera, but everyone perpetuates that is the reasoning behind it. I can’t tell you how many times (as a half Mexican-half white girl) that I’ve said something about someone soley because they behave badly or I’ve seen someone else do that and someone will accuse me/other person of having that judgment because the other person is not the same color/sexuality/religion (which I’m not religious) etcetera as I am. It’s ridiculous.
Cheyenne was so rude. Seeing the anxiety Makenzie had before entering the house was heartbreaking. She knew no matter how she went about it it wouldn’t make a difference. Chey isn’t so easy to forgive her but do we forget about the racist tweets from her?? Makenzie made a mistake out of ignorance not hatred like Chey did with the tweets.
How is it that Mackenzie’s misuse of terminology has become a personal problem for Cheyenne for years? I don’t see Corey or macs boyfriend mad. This girl takes anything and makes it all about herself
This woman sent horrible texts about killing white babies and hating white people. The double standard us is absolutely ridiculous! I’ve had it!
and encouraging suicide, don’t forget that atrocious one…. I quit watching the show BECAUSE of Cheyenne & that gross Jade. It’s been time, for a long time, to take this shit show off the air.
The privilege is real in this one. Don’t you think poc have had enough of it for hundreds of years. ?
Only people who don’t understand world history.. Cheyanne is more wealthy than me by leaps and bounds.. it’s a joke , SHE IS PRIVILEGED IF AMERICA WAS SO BAD SHE WOULDNT BE RICH
Cheyenne is SO insufferable. Even if she didn’t make nasty racist comments of her own (about killing white babies), Mac has taken accountability and apologized for her ignorance in choice of words.
Apparently it was ok for Cheyenne to forgive Taylor, who got fired from MTV for her own racist tweets, but not Mac. It’s been at least three years since Macs incident.
Cheyenne is petty & ignorant as fuck
Never liked Cheyenne from the beginning. She’s showing her true colors. I always knew she would end being unlikable, mack I’m happy she’s doing better, I hope more good things come her way, she deserves it!
I can’t stand Cheyenne. She always acts holier than thou. I wish they would get rid of her.
Mackenzie made an honest mistake. Cheyenne on the other hand tweeted some really awful, racist things from her past. She actually retweeted something about wanting to kill white people or something. Call me crazy but that is significantly worse than what Mackenzie said. For Cheyenne to have the audacity to pass judgment on Mackenzie and treat her so badly is appalling and shows a real lack of character.
And let’s not forget Cheyenne said white babies should die.. and never apologized or got canceled.
After this episode, I hate Cheyenne. What a spoiled brat. You didn’t apologize to me for the hundredth time on the time frame I wanted so I’m going to be a little idiot about it. My husband made a good joke though – out of all the adults in the world, they picked this one to be on teen mom. I died.
at that point cheyenne was just dragging it out since it’s easy to be mean to mackenzie. mackenzie didn’t send those people to harass chey and her family
All the baby daddies are criminals.
Cheyenne is insufferable. She needs to drag this the whole season to have a “storyline”.
Let’s talk about your scammer husband instead, Cheyenne, how about that?
Taylor: Posts some mildly racist tweets (honestly, more distasteful than outright racist) almost a decade earlier. Fired for some time and has to beg Cheyenne’s forgiveness.
Mackenzie: Makes an honest mistake on terminology and apologizes repeatedly. Is still being bullied by Cheyenne years later.
Cheyenne: Makes racist tweets and retreats about killing white babies. Is somehow the victim.
What an embarrassment.
Cheyenne is being absurd. Especially after the things she has said about white people. The things she has said are much worse than what Makenzie said. I hope Makenzie will stop begging her forgiveness. She doesn’t even deserve an apology.
Mackenzie needs to stop grovelling.
Cheyenne needs to stop playing victim.
