Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis proved this week that they remain at odds with one another, nearly a year after Thomas was awarded permanent sole custody of his and Kathryn’s two children, Kensie and Saint.
The latest Tom-Kat clash began after 32-year-old Kathryn shared a link to her Instagram Story over Mother’s Day weekend about people who are “struggling with parental alienation.”
(According to Psychology Today, parental alienation is something that occurs when a child “refuses to have a relationship with a parent due to manipulation … by the other parent.”)
In response, Thomas took to X, accusing Kathryn of lying to their children and being delusional.
“Typical [Kathryn] who had every opportunity and legal right to see her kids on Mother’s Day but didn’t and then chose to blame it on me,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet shared by @bravosnarkside. “This is her IG story. Her delusions and deceits and lies to her own kids never cease to shock me.”
As The Ashley previously told you, 61-year-old Thomas was awarded permanent sole custody of Kensie and Saint in May 2023, revealing to All About the Tea at the time that he makes “all parenting decisions” for the two children and that Kathryn “has the right to supervised visitation by an approved supervisor between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., every other weekend.”
He went on to state that Kathryn was not allowed overnight visits with their children, explaining that he transports Kensie and Saint to a halfway point between Aiken, South Carolina–- where he relocated with his three children in mid-2021–- and Kathryn’s place of residence.
Thomas said in 2023 that he was “beyond grateful for the outcome of the custody battle”–- a very lengthy one that began in 2016 after Kathryn entered rehab and Thomas was awarded temporary full custody of Kensie and Saint.
During a July 2022 episode of the podcast Side Piece with Melissa Pfeister, Kathryn spoke about the custody arrangement, admitting it was “extremely hard” not being able to see her children as often as she once did. She confirmed at the time that, per the custody agreement, she is allowed to see Kensie and Saint “every other weekend from 9 [a.m.] to 7 [p.m.]” and that the visits are supervised.
However, she also claimed that the supervisor is required to document what her children eat during that time, as well as “what they say.”
“ … like, they literally follow me into every room,” she said. “I can’t even go to take my daughter to the bathroom alone. I can’t do any of that.”
Kathryn–- who was fired from ‘Southern Charm’ in January 2023 for allegedly treating the show’s crew poorly and for frequently not showing up to film–- also claimed on the podcast that she is required to pay $4,000 each month to cover the cost of the supervised visits with her children, as well as an additional $500 to Thomas’s nanny, who drives the children from Aiken to her residence in Charleston, South Carolina, for visits.
While Thomas and Kathryn have kept their issues with each other off the Internet in recent months, back in November, Thomas took to X to share his thoughts on, not only Kathryn, but current ‘Southern Charm’ cast members Craig Conover, Shep Rose and Austen Kroll for allegedly supporting Kathryn’s mistakes–- both past and recent.
“The worst person in the world I know is Kathryn Dennis and the total losers who make excuses and applaud her horrific behavior like Craig, Shep and Austen,” he wrote. “Total losers.”
That same week, Thomas expressed his anger over Kathryn’s alleged involvement in an October hit-and-run that injured Berkeley County Sheriff’s Deputy Michelle Ward, claiming the incident was what had “set off this tangent” against his ex.
“She was involved in a hit and run at an elementary school crossing,” he wrote. “Any more questions???”
When asked why Kathryn–- who denied having any involvement in the accident–- had not been arrested for the alleged hit-and-run, Thomas said that was a “damn good question.”
Kathryn has not responded publicly to Thomas’s latest tweet–- which, as mentioned above, has since been deleted–- though she went on to post a quote by Matthew McConaughey to her Instagram Story on Thursday that was seemingly directed at her ex.
“Best thing you could probably do as a father is make sure they see how you love their mother,” the quote read.

Thomas really needs to get off of his high horse. Let’s look at his record, shall we?
* Convicted of distributing cocaine with the potential sentence of 20 years. He got 10 months.
* Assault and battery in the commission of a rape. He pled guilty and got NO jail time.
I’m sure there are more details that I am not going to look up. But he was always icky. He gave me the creeps on Southern Charm. I have a feeling that there have probably been more accusers of rape that he has paid off and had them sign a NDA. Other than taking pictures and putting them on social media I doubt that Thomas is a devoted parent to his kids. I’m sure he has a new nanny (one that he hopefully won’t rape) that is essentially raising his kids.
Omg a hit and run. While you paid off several women that you SA’d. I’m sorry that the judge can’t see that the reason Catherine is a mess is because he stays ready to attack her and even drag her publicly as a mother. Which is never good for the kids BC you can use your money to manipulate and control her as far as the children are concerned. Because never will hit and run Trump graping the nanny. I think the children are way better off, raised by someone messy over a good old boy who thinks money, negotiates behavior and someone who treats women like objects. Neither one of those are examples that should be in front of any child ever. How a man that grapes women can force supervised visitation and child support on the mother. We see you, Thomas you’re still abusing her. If you are a good dad, you have plenty of money to cover the cost to ensure in a relationship if it’s really about safety. You’ve put multiple obstacles in the way to degrade her as a woman and a mother when you’re no better of a human being just because you have more money. You’re actually the worst of the two. It will be nice if something would happen to knock you off the high horse. Your children will get older, and I doubt you’ve put up the drugs or nasty behavior when you drink. It will all come out in the wash Thomas. Those kids will grow up and form their own opinions and they’ll figure out that your character is far worse than their mothers ever could be and you used all your money and power to keep her away because she was so bad while they probably watch your drug and alcohol fueled tantrums that you get to get away with because you have money.
Could you imagine every time you put something out online and someone rabidly standing by to attack you and tell everyone how your a piece of 💩 and that’s why you treat them that way and so should everyone else.
Kathryn has made a lot of mistakes but the biggest was tying herself to this man forever with children. I am sure she does need some sort of supervised visitation but he has money and pull so he could take her to court forever and run her into the ground. Meanwhile he got the children with the pure Hugenaught (sp) blood he was obsessed with when he wanted to spawn with her.
I hope she gets herself together to have a healthy relationship with her lovely children when they become adults because he will have absolute power until then because he desire control as much as he loves his 🥜 hugging white jeans.
