Scheana Shay Reacts to Ariana Madix Seemingly Supporting ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Ending: “It’s Kind of Frustrating”

“Either suck it up and keep filming, or put in a good word for me at ‘Dancing with the Stars.'”

Scheana Shay is speaking out after her best friend Vanderpump Rules co-star Ariana Madix seemed to indicate recently that she was in favor of the Bravo series not returning for Season 12.

Scheana was asked on the May 17 episode of her Scheananigans podcast to address an Instagram fan poll that Ariana participated in, reportedly voting that she believed Season 11 was the last for ‘Vanderpump Rules.’

In response, Scheana rattled off the list of projects Ariana is currently involved in–- which include a return to Broadway and a new hosting gig on Love Island–- noting that Ariana has plenty on her calendar to keep her booked and busy for the foreseeable future. However, Scheana admitted that she was not thrilled to see Ariana voting to see their Bravo paychecks their show come to an end.

“As her friend, I fully support her pursuing her dreams,” Scheana said. “I always have. I’ve said that multiple times. It’s like, if ‘Vanderpump Rules’ and reality TV no longer serve her, then on to the next thing.”

“I’m way ahead of you, girl.”

Scheana went on to add that if Ariana has determined that it’s time to move on from the Bravo series, she would understand. Still, she admitted that Ariana’s vote in the online poll left her feeling bothered on behalf of herself and the rest of the cast who openly wish to see the show continue.

“As her coworker, if this is true, I mean, it’s kind of frustrating that she would advocate for the end of a work project that is a big part of my business and what Lala [Kent] and I as moms do to support our families,” Scheana said. “So that’s what’s tricky too with this show is our life is our job and our job is our life.”

I mean, who WOULDN’T want to keep filming with these two?

Fans of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ watched this season as Scheana and Lala forgave Ariana’s ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval and encouraged Ariana to do the same, despite Season 11 filming just three months after Ariana learned about the months-long affair Sandoval had behind her back with their former friend and co-star Rachel Leviss. The tension came to a head during the Season 11 finale when cast members–- notably Lala–- broke the fourth wall and vented their frustration over Ariana’s refusal to film one-on-one with her ex.

On her podcast, Scheana said as Ariana’s friend, she understands and respects her boundaries; however, as someone appearing on a reality TV show alongside Ariana, she feels a bit differently.

“As your coworker, there can be moments where it’s frustrating,” Scheana said. “So that’s how I feel about that.”

Or as WE like to call it, “Pulling a Scheana.”

As The Ashley previously told you, production on Season 12 of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ is currently paused, with no filming happening this summer for the cast and, instead, the show reportedly going on hiatus for an unspecified period of time.

In the meantime, fans can continue watching the Season 11 aftermath unfold on the three-part finale, with part 2 slated to air Tuesday on Bravo.

Unpopular opinion, but that is effed up if she support the show ending ..after she’s been giving so many opportunities outside the show. Like it or not, she would never be given these opportunities if it wasn’t for the scandal. I’ll give credit or credit is due she certainly did rise to occasion and is doing amazing, but it’s jacked up if she supports the ending of the show, knowing that other people support their families with this show. She’s definitely acting like a diva in certain situations.

The show use to be about servers at a LVP restaurant, none of them work there anymore except james’ little dj gigs. They should move Lala, Sceana etc over to The Valley then reboot pump rules in a year or so with a fresh new cast of servers to take over and put the show back to what it was.

If the show does end, Ariana will quickly find all those endorsement deals and gigs quickly fade. She wasn’t hired for her talent FFS, she was hired cause she was cheated on by a guy she CLEARLY wasn’t into. They were sleeping in different bedrooms!!

If wasn’t for scandoval the show was slated to be cancelled. Ariana gave the show CPR & it got another season.

They (Schena & Lala) should be thanking her ( & their long time friend Tom) for the income boost.

I am very happy for Lala and Scheana that they are moms but I am going to need them to stop bringing that into every conversation. Everyone who has children are responsible for providing for them, you aren’t unique and our extra gigs for cash are far less sexy. These two need to have several seats and stand in thier bad season, it’s the only way to get past this bad taste. There’s a whole YouTube video with time stamps and video showing what an about face these two did, simultaneously shit talking Ariana and acting like her friend.

Watching them try to spin those actions is wild, they really underestimate the intelligence of their audience and fans.
