Josh Hall Reportedly Cut From Upcoming HGTV Show ‘The Flip Off’ Following Split with Wife Christina

“Don’t let the stage door hit ya on the way out, buddy!”

Christina Hall is cutting her husband Josh out of her life— and her upcoming show!

Josh and Christina both filed for divorce earlier this week, leaving many HGTV fans wondering how their split would affect The Flip Off— the design flip show the couple was set to star on with Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather. (As The Ashley previously reported back in May, ‘The Flip Off’ would see Christina and Josh competing against Tarek and Heather to see who can “find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain.” It was due to air in 2025.)

On Wednesday, Us Weekly revealed that the show will go on– but without Josh.

“I’ll see myself out…”

“They are in production of ‘The Flip Off’ without Josh,” a source told the magazine. “They’re moving forward with the show without him.”

As of press time, though, the promo video for ‘The Flip Off’ remains on Josh’s Instagram account, along with several silly videos he made with Tarek (and Heather and Christina) to promote the upcoming show.

Christina and Josh have yet to make any public statements about their divorce or ‘The Flip Off.’ It is unknown if Christina will work solo on the project or add someone to her “team” to compete against Tarek and Heather.

According to a statement Christina made to Us Weekly on July 2, she and Josh had “just started filming” for ‘The Flip Off.’

“We actually haven’t filmed together with Tarek and Heather yet, so I can’t really say that I know what that looks like,” Christina told the magazine. “Only Josh and I have filmed together so far. I’m used to being the boss of everything, especially when it comes to design. So it’s just like this is a whole new dynamic for us and it’s gonna be interesting how it plays out.”

In her divorce filing, Christina gave July 7 as the date she separated from Josh, which is just five days after she gave that interview.

Christina— who has had three divorces in seven years— is also removing Josh from her name. According to the divorce paperwork she filed in court, she is asking that her last name once again be restored to her maiden name, Haack. (Over the years, Christina has always assumed her husband’s name, and therefore has been known publicly as Christina El Moussa, Christina Anstead and Christina Hall.)

“I’m thinking of going all ‘Cher’ and just becoming ‘Christina!’ Thoughts?”

In the divorce paperwork he filed, Josh asked the court for equal division of the rights to any HGTV or Discovery Channel show that he and Christina developed, produced or contracted with during their marriage. (It can be assumed ‘The Flip Off’ would be included in this.) He is also asking that he and Christina retain any property they each owned before their 2022 wedding, and that any homes or property they acquired during the marriage be split equally.

HGTV has not confirmed if Josh has, indeed, been cut from ‘The Flip Off.’

  1. She really needs to date and stop marrying every bf she gets.
She marries them months after knowing them, and like a bf the relationship plays itself out after 2 years.
If she is not willing to compromise and make sacrifices and bend to make a marriage work, she should never remarry again.
Marriage is hard work, if you’re expecting to get married thinking well I can just divorce, you shouldn’t get married.
Marriage is forever, unless it’s abuse or cheating, you do not just get divorced bc you’re unhappy.
You put in the work to make it better.
You’re taking vows for lifetime, not for the time being.
If others put more effort into the relationship and forgiveness, we wouldn’t have the divorce rate we do.
She should be embarrassed, bc this is embarrassing.
She’s taken every man’s name she’s been married to.
So, how will that make any future marriage sacred?
    Hell I’m embarrassed for her.

    1. Josh is shifty. He saw an opportunity& $$$ with her. Hs life before her ( not allot of $$) sadly some reality TV people are sought after and used for a rise up. We’ve seen alot of that on tm2 with the snake & cheater Javi Marroquin & David Eason.

  2. How can he claim rights to half, while the concept was there long before he even knew her?
    Pretty greedy.

I really do hope she stays single until she got to the bottom of the reason why 3 marriages in a relatively short time didn’t work out. There must be a reason and things she needs to change. Better choices, better future.
Why does she need to marry (so soon) anyway?

    1. He was her husband she brought him in and they created this show together.
She seems to marry like she changes clothes.
      Nothing is sacred.
Marriage is hard and if you’re not willing to work at it and think I can just divorce, you should just stay as bf and gf.
She’s taken every name to every man she’s married after months of dating, so why should any man take her seriously?
Of course she’s attracting a certain type of man and having the same issues, she’s not taking herself seriously.
When she does meet her final husband, what’s left sacred for him?
She’s taken multiple names, said many vows, and clearly they don’t mean anything to her.

  3. T-minus 15 until she’s on the next D with a new engagement ring. This is what marriage #5 in less than 10 years? She’s clearly the problem and needs to focus on herself.
