More than a week after Jordan Wiseley took to Instagram accusing producers of The Challenge of providing “one of the worst environments” for its Season 40 cast, competitors of the MTV series are continuing to weigh-in on the four-time champ’s controversial take.
As The Ashley told you last week, Jordan– who is competing as part of Era 3 on The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras– recently spoke about the harsh conditions he and his fellow cast members were allegedly subjected to while filming the latest installment of ‘The Challenge’ franchise, even going as far as to call the Season 40 ‘Challenge’ house “one of the worst environments to be in.”
“ … I’m not exaggerating,” he shared on Instagram. “This one was by far the worst treatment we’ve ever received as a cast and it’s taken a toll (more on that later.)”
Jordan’s post was met with a handful of comments from other ‘Challenge’ competitors– including some who are slated to compete on Season 40– who shared similar sentiments. In the days that followed, additional cast members have provided their own take on the Season 40 sitch, including Rachel Robinson of Era 1.
When asked on X what her thoughts were on Jordan’s recent comments, the ‘Challenge’ vet argued that the cast knew what they signed up for before entering ‘The Challenge’ house.
“ … We get three huge catered meals, snacks in the house, and a PA that is amazing at their jobs 2 make sure we r taken care of,” she wrote. “R there wait times +things that don’t happen immediately absolutely but again it’s the challenge & we had 40. So 🤐 #realtalk.”
In a follow-up tweet, Rachel wrote, “Also this… if you can’t hang it ain’t for you. Bye.”
In a clip shared by @challengetea911, Ryan Kehoe (Era 2) seemed to agree with both Jordan and Rachel, though he admitted Season 40 was “probably the most challenging” season he’s ever done.
“ … But we also know what we’re signing up for,” he said. “So if you can’t take the heat, get off the season, I say. But yeah, it was challenging … the conditions were different.”
In that same post, Theo Campbell (Era 4) provided his own unfiltered take on Season 40, after previously claiming that he lost 23 pounds while filming the season and was never given a pair of shoes that fit him during the competition.
“It was a great show, even though we got treated like absolute dogs,” Theo said of Season 40 in a clip originally posted by Olivia Kaiser (Era 4).
Theo’s comments were similar to those made by Jordan in the original video, during which he detailed what allegedly goes on in ‘The Challenge’ houses during filming.
“Most people think that we come into a ‘Challenge’ house and we just work out all the time and turn into savages,” Jordan said. “No, the entire time you’re there, you are losing shape. We are treated like s**t, we sleep like s**t, we are fed like s**t, our schedules are dog s**t, 20-hour days like nothing.
“So we just lose shape,” he continued. “Doesn’t matter how long you’re there. Doesn’t matter– two weeks, you are going to come out depressed, looking like s**t.”

Nurys had dominating performances over some very tough men to have ever played the game and should have won that season if it weren’t for Emmanuel cheating which is obvi what he does best. lol. Don’t sleep on nurys dude dynamite comes in small packages!!
Season 40 didn’t even have real bathrooms, just portapotties. That’s horrible treatment.
Rachel kissing the ass of production is a choice. She knows where her money is coming from and she’s afraid of jeopardizing it.
LOL remember the season where they all had to sleep in an open air hut on the beach with nothing but some janky hammocks? Privileged much, Jordan?
Seems to me he is looking gor excuses for why he loses or quits!
“We get three huge catered meals, snacks in the house, and a PA that is amazing at their jobs”
That sounds like a really difficult environment, on a show called “The Challenge”. The irony is not lost. He chosle to be on this show at least twice…
Can you imagine this guy on “Survivor”? “Excuse me, Nigel, I didn’t get my mineral water and filet minon today.”
Everyone else is getting sunburnt and fishing, dude.
Didn’t Laurel attack Cara during filming? I am assuming that even though they were never friends, watching Cara, the beloved nerd, being an Attacked by Laurel, yet again, got old.
