It’s Official: Chelsea Houska & Cole DeBoer’s HGTV Series ‘Down Home Fab’ Has Been Renewed For a Third Season

Time to roll out the red carpet cowhide rug!

Throw on your deer-antler-adorned party hat because a third season of Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer‘s design reality show Down Home Fab has officially been green-lit by HGTV.

The big news was revealed to the former Teen Mom 2 couple through a series of packages from the network, the last of which included a note confirming that Season 3 was happening.

“That means so much,” Chelsea said, while getting emotional over the news.

When you know you won’t have to come crawling back to MTV for the foreseeable future…

While HGTV has yet to announce how many episodes there will be in Season 3, there were six episodes in Season 1 and the network went on to add two additional episodes to the order for Season 2, bringing it to eight.

Shortly after HGTV posted the video on Monday, Chelsea shared information to her Instagram Story for homeowners located within 40 minutes of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who are interested in having their home renovated on Season 3.

According to the post, qualified applicants must own a home that is “in need of a FABULOUS facelift” and “have an existing budget” to pay for the renovation, which will focus on three to four spaces in the house.

As The Ashley previously told you, HGTV announced in 2023 that ‘Down Home Fab’ was getting a second season after Season 1 of the series became the network’s highest-rated freshman series since May 2022. The show’s impressive ratings prompted the (relatively-rare) mid-season renewal.

In addition to their successful HGTV series, Chelsea and Cole opened their first brick-and-mortar home decor store, Down Home by DeBoers, in March.

Just three months after the Tea, South Dakota, store opened its doors, Chelsea and Cole had to unexpectedly close the business after a person drove their car through the front of the shop. While the home decor store was opened and filled with people at the time of the crash, no one– not even the car’s driver– was hurt in the incident.

Despite Down Home by DeBoers sustaining damage from the incident, Chelsea and Cole were able to reopen the store just days later. The official grand opening was held earlier this month.

“It’s been really overwhelmingly good,” Chelsea told Sioux Falls Business earlier this month the store. “I feel like we’ve definitely felt so much support from the community, but also being right off the interstate, we get so many people on road trips or just passing by.

“What we’re seeing is people really like kind of a Western feel,” she continued. “They are loving cowhide accents, and they are really embracing the South Dakota modern vibe we really wanted to create here. The store leans very much into our personal style and it’s fun to see people are leaning into that.”

Season 3 of ‘Down Home Fab’ is set to premiere on HGTV in 2025.

        1. @Theashley, seriously your next site upgrade needs to include a block user feature. This chick is beyond deranged and incapable of getting along with anyone who doesn’t 100% agree with her. We’d like the option to mute her comments. Please and thank you.
