‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ Star Ashley Jones Files For Divorce From Husband Bar Smith

“Goodbye to you AND all four of your eyebrows.”

Ashley Jones and Bar Smith are heading to divorce court after three years of wedded bliss marriage.

According to Starcasm, the Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star officially filed for divorce Thursday in Nevada, where she resides with the couple’s daughter, Holly. As you know, until recently, Bar was living in California (and on probation), though he’s currently behind bars in Nevada.

“But now I’m like, ‘BYE, BYE, BYE, BYE, BYE!'”

In her divorce paperwork, Ashley stated that she and Bar have been separated since March, but that their daughter has lived solely with her since July 2022. Ashley is reportedly asking for sole custody of Holly and requesting that the court determine the child support amount Bar will be required to pay. She is not, however, seeking any spousal support.

Ashley also declined requesting visitation for Bar in her filing, explaining in the documents that Bar is “in jail until further notice.”

“[Bar] is currently in jail awaiting trial for a DV case against myself,” she detailed. “He is in jail on multiple felony charges. Given that he is already on probation out of California for gun charges and he is [now] in Nevada custody on more serious charges I fear his decision making skills are very questionable.”

Um….

As The Ashley previously told you, during a court hearing earlier this month, Bar was hit with an additional felony charge– Residential Burglary Constituting Domestic Violence– which was added to his already extensive list of charges stemming from an incident that occurred on July 7.

Bar’s previous charges included Second Degree Kidnapping, Coercion Domestic Violence with the Threat of Using Physical Force and a misdemeanor charge for Harassment. He was also cited for owing at least $5,000 in child support.

Starcasm reports that Bar’s case has been bound over to District Court; he was arraigned July 30 and has a status check scheduled for September 24.

  1. I guess this was truly a case of love is blind because if Ashley could not see that Bar was trouble from the beginning..then she must’ve been BLIND! Kicking him to the curb is the best thing that could’ve happened for her and Holly, move on ..live a great life and prosper without him!..

  2. Ashley needs to find an OG and get away from Bar. She can have a beautiful glow about her if she would rid herself of him. Unfortunately these girls get in the cycle of having kids with bad men. Then wondering why they don’t want to be in the kids lives.

  3. Hopefully, Ashley will finally move on from Bar. She can do so much better and I hope she realizes it. Bar is the type of dude who is all bark and no bite. He will be crying in prison if people don’t send him commissary/canteen (not sure what Canadians call it) money.

  4. I genuinely feel bad for bar. He is a product of his raising like many of us are but he has the ability to be a good man and good husband he just won’t try. And that’s what was always so frustrating for Ashley and for us viewers. I think it’s best he keep distance from holly for a while because he’s clearly not making good decisions.

  5. He loves her but he’s a broken man. Broken men are not capable of being good men, no matter how hard they want to be or you want them to be. He needs major therapy

  6. Good, I am tired of seeing his dumbass name and thinking it is Barbara, Jenelles mom. Their story line is dumb anyway so they won’t be missed.

    1. That’s a classy, standup type of guy though.

Face tattoos are waaaayyyy past a cry for help. They’re more like, “Run, there is nothing you can do for me now.”

My brother in law got face tattoos to celebrate his sobriety 3 months before he OD’d in the car at 2 am with his 3 year old son in the backseat. After another month of rehab he OD’d and died.

Prison is the best place for Bar. Ashley needs to prepare Holly for never seeing her dad again.
