Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and Josh Efird are calling it quits after six years of marriage.
According to Starcasm, Lauryn filed for divorce on Thursday in Wilkinson County, Georgia, claiming that her and Josh’s marriage was “irretrievably broken.” (The Ashley has reviewed the court documents and can confirm the news as well.)
The Mama June: Family Crisis couple, who have been together for more than a decade, are parents to six-year-old daughter Ella, three-year-old son Bentley and two-year-old twins Sylus Ray and Stella Renae. (The couple previously shared full custody of Lauryn’s younger sister, Alana Thompson, as well.)
Court documents obtained by the outlet state that Pumpkin and Josh have agreed to share custody of their four children, as well as split the children’s expenses.
The Ashley can confirm that neither party is requesting child support, due to both parents having joint legal and physical custody.
“The parties shall equally divide the expenses of the minor children, including but not limited to, uncovered medical expenses, extra-circular activities and necessary school expenses,” the court docs state, adding that Pumpkin will claim two of the couple’s four kids on her taxes, while Josh will claim the other two kids on his.
The paperwork states that Josh and Pumpkin are currently leasing-to-own the home they live in. The couple has decided that Josh’s name is to be removed from the contract of the home and he will have 60 days to move out of the residence.
Pumpkin and Josh have agreed to each keep their own car and bank accounts.
The court docs also confirm that each of the couple’s four kids have a Coogan account from their earnings on their family’s reality show. (A Coogan account is a trust account that parents of for working child performers are required by law to open and place at least 15% of the child’s gross earnings from their entertainment work in to be kept for them until they become adults. Laws for these types of accounts vary by state. Alana’s Coogan account was a major topic of discussion on recent ‘Mama June’ episodes.)
The divorce documents state that both Pumpkin and Josh will both remain signatories on the kids’ accounts.
Prior to filing, the pair had reportedly already reached an agreement on matters including custody, visitation, child support, division of property, division of debt and alimony– the last of which neither party is requesting and will not be allowed to request in the future.
While the reason behind Lauryn and Josh’s split has not been revealed, Lauryn shared a post Thursday on social media hinting that there may be some hard feelings between her and Josh.
“I don’t walk away to teach people a lesson I walked away BECAUSE I LEARNED MINE,” the post read.
Meanwhile, Josh currently has “Married to @pumpkin” still included in his Instagram bio.
Josh and Pumpkin have not yet released public statements regarding their divorce.

Well, no one (i.e., Hannah or Diane) has replied back to me, so I don’t know whether to believe that Pumpkin cheated or not. All I will say is I pray 🙏🏻 that Pumpkin and Josh get along for the sake of the kids, while being divorced. I pray 🙏🏻 for the kids, I pray 🙏🏻 for all the family.
Marriages fall apart under normal circumstances. The responsibilities and trauma she’s faced from her bio family is enough to break anyone. Add raising several young kids to that and this isn’t surprising.

If she cheated, as Diane said, I feel bad for Josh. She may have just made a stupid mistake, who knows.
I liked both of them and wouldn’t have watched the show otherwise. Josh is my favorite. I truly can’t stand Alana, her boyfriend or June.
This shocked me as much as Princess Dianas death. Very said. Josh hung in there with this messed up family and supported Pumpkin every step of the way.

Also, the reason you shouldn’t want them to go live with him is because, if he’s as bad as you claim, you should be a decent mother (a decent woman in general) and be working your butt off to teach them to be good men and not turn out like their father.

Not gonna lie I’m not surprised if she’s anything like her mother she’s either on drugs or sleeping with the next one. So many people get married and have kids, for what? To then split your time around everyone? To spend souble what you normally would spend? To then start another family and have kids just to shorten your time with your first kids? Many, many people should have never married and had kids. No relationship is easy or without arguments but come on, a lot can be resolved if you have kids. I also think a lot cannot be resolved, but I think it is simply not to do the bad things but whatever, people are dumb and easy to steer into the wrong things.
