Since news broke last month that they were splitting up, Christina Hall has regularly spoken out against her soon-to-be ex-husband Josh, while he’s had very little to say on the matter, at least officially, although many anonymous sources have been speaking on his behalf.
This weekend, though, he finally had his own say.
“I prefer privacy, especially during something as life changing as a divorce I did not ask for,” he posted to Instagram. “I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately the Internet is forever.
“We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don’t know with my private matters,” Josh continued. “Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time. Those who know each of us, know who we are.”
Josh has turned off the comment section for the post.
Josh’s post strikes quite a different tone from those of his estranged wife, who’s used her social media posts to paint him as a wannabe victim who’s angling to get money that’s not his, as The Ashley previously reported.
“Over here waiting for the typical Hired PR rep speech of ‘how I was blind-sided and how I’m working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch,’” she wrote on social media days after the news of the divorce filing broke. “Meanwhile, I’m over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be … .
“I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try to take what they do not deserve / what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” she continued. “An insecure man with a large ego can sure try to derail you- but, ‘still I rise’ …”
(Christina regularly quotes from the Maya Angelou poem and got the line ‘Still I Rise’ tattooed on her back in 2021.)
In court documents, Christina accused her third husband of stealing money from her, The Ashley reported.
“Quite frankly I am shocked and concerned by the fact that he has diverted over $35,000 of my separate property money to his separate account on July 8, 2024,” Christina wrote in the court filing. “The fact that this is the same date he now alleges to be our date of separation, even though it is actually July 7, 2024, makes it clear why he chose the next day.”
Josh asked for spousal support from Christina in his divorce filing, as well as to prevent Christina from receiving financial support from him. He also asked the court to divide his and Christina’s assets based on what they each owned before the marriage and has requested the rights to any HGTV and/or Discovery Network shows or specials that he and Christina produced together during their marriage.
Christina countered Josh’s request for alimony in her own court filing.
“Like all hard-working mothers, my life revolves around my children and my work,” she wrote. “It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and therefore he should not need any spousal support from me. He has sufficient assets of his own to pay his own attorney’s fees and costs.”
Over the weekend, Christina posted photos of her trip to South Carolina to Instagram Stories. Her caption for one of the posts was almost certainly aimed at Josh.
“South Carolina was good to me,” she wrote. “The pure peace I felt there was something I haven’t felt in a long time. It reminded me I am capable of feeling this daily, when [no one] is f-ing with me and my life.”
The Halls were set to star alongside Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather El Moussa, in the upcoming HGTV competition series The Flip Off, though the series is now reportedly moving forward without Josh.

It’s clear she’s the problem. Can’t believe she’s gotten married and divorced 3 or 4 times and she didn’t have no fault. She needs to stay single for awhile and focus on her kids.
I guess she has proof and what he claims she owes him and that he needs spousal support seems very excessive/ exploitative.
Wouldn’t a pre-nup have helped a lot in the situation.
I know she’s a serial marrier but I’m inclined to believe something major happened
I like how Josh used a photo with his dog to try to gain sympathy…..
Clearly something major happened. They were in the process filming a TV show. I’m inclined to believe he stole the $35k.
You’d think after this many divorces she would have learned what a pre-nup is….
