Meri Brown Announces She’s Closing Her Utah B&B Indefinitely; 150 Year-Old Home To Undergo Renovations

“Renovations and a wet bar are coming soon to Lizzie’s!”

Meri Brown upgraded her life in 2023 by (finally) ditching her husband Kody Brown and now, the Sister Wives star is looking to upgrade her Parowan, Utah, bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn.

The renovation news was revealed Wednesday on the Lizzie’s Heritage Inn Facebook page in a post that began with, “Time to say goodbye….If only for a moment….”

Meri announced that she will be closing her bed and breakfast indefinitely.

“This beautiful 154 year old home is in need of some tlc and needs some renovation, so I’ve made the decision to shut down the b&b for regular visits,” the post continued. “At this point, I don’t know how long it will be closed, I suppose that all depends on what ends up happening as we go through the process!”

While the home will be closed indefinitely for regular visits, Meri said the bed and breakfast will still host special events where visitors “can come see the home.” (Information on these events will be posted to the Lizzie’s Heritage Inn website, she added.)

“But for now, enjoy these photos of what ‘was’ and look forward with me to what will be!” Meri added, referring to some interior shots of Lizzie’s she included in her post. “I’ve got some fun and exciting things planned for these spaces! The next little while will be filled with fun and anticipation, and I’m excited for what’s to come!”

Meri purchased Lizzie’s Heritage Inn in December 2017– without help from Kody & Co., who turned down Meri’s request for financial help back in Season 12 of ‘Sister Wives.’ The home was built by Meri’s great-great grandparents in 1870 and, according to Meri, it was “occupied by four generations until it sold out of the family in the 1980s.”

Fans of ‘Sister Wives’ may remember Meri temporarily closing the bed and breakfast in 2021 following the death of her mom, Bonnie Ahlstrom, who served as an innkeeper at Lizzie’s after relocating from Lehi, Utah, to Parowan. Meri went on to reopen the bed and breakfast two months after Bonnie’s death.

Months after Meri and Kody announced they were “permanently terminating” what was left of their 33-year union, Meri officially relocated from Flagstaff, Arizona, to Parowan.

Season 19 of ‘Sister Wives’ premieres September 15 on TLC.

  2. I hope Meri got Mr. Sperm and Mrs. Frown to buy out her share of Prairie Poop Pass. They were fools to buy land without utilities. It was just an excuse for the toxic pair to helicopter parent Day-Un. Uprooting the whole damn family without a plan was so dumb!

  3. Please only take care of structural issues. Please don’t lose the amazing history of the property !!
