Season 2 of The Valley will reportedly be SURving serving drama AND divorce papers.
According to TMZ, Bravo cameras were rolling this week as Jax Taylor was served divorce documents from his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright.
While both Jax and Brittany were filming for ‘The Valley’ on Tuesday, the pair didn’t appear on camera together, so the documents were presumably delivered to the self-proclaimed No. 1 Guy in the Group by a third party.
As The Ashley previously told you, Brittany filed for divorce on Tuesday, following a six-month separation from Jax. In the divorce documents, Brittany lists “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her asking to divorce Jax, to whom she has been happily married for more than four years and shares son Cruz.
While Brittany was the one who filed for divorce, she and Jax are reportedly on the same page about it being the right decision.
“Jax is 100 percent on-board with moving forward with the divorce,” a source told Page Six. “He’s been checked out from the marriage for a long time now. He just wants to have an amicable co-parenting relationship.”
The source went on to tell the outlet that, while divorce is “sad for them both because neither one of them envisioned that for themselves,” it was clear that they weren’t a good match.
“Their vicious cycles needed to stop for the sake of their son,” the source added.
In her divorce filing, Brittany is seeking primary legal and physical custody of three-year-old Cruz and wants visitation for Jax. She did not make any mention of child support requests in the documents she filed.
As fans saw on Season 1 of ‘The Valley,’ Brittany moved out of the Valley Village, California, home she and Jax shared back in February, claiming she needed space and wanted Jax to work on himself before they were able to repair their relationship. Meanwhile, Jax initially downplayed the separation, insisting in June– after the Season 1 finale of ‘The Valley’ aired– that he and Brittany were “working things out.”
Jax went on to check himself into a mental health treatment center in late July. He recently exited the facility and began filming scenes for ‘The Valley’ Season 2.
Brittany has reportedly not seen Jax since he has been out of treatment; however, a source told Page Six that she “plans to have him visit with Cruz.”
Hours after filing for divorce on Tuesday, Brittany was photographed accepting an alcohol delivery at her rental property in Sherman Oaks, California. The following day, Jax was on social media promoting a Bachelorette viewing party he’s hosting next week at “his” bar, Jax’s Studio City.
