Break the wedding bells back out, because another one of the Duggar Family kids is tying the knot!
Just weeks after eldest Duggar daughter Jana Duggar celebrated her (long-awaited) wedding to Stephen Wissmann, her younger brother Jason has announced that he’s engaged to be married.
Jason– who was partially raised by Jana as part of her “Buddy Group”— and his bride-to-be took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that he proposed last week. His new fiancé, Maddie Grace Jones, excitedly posted photos of the proposal.
“On 8/24, Jase asked me to marry him, and I could not be more excited!” she captioned a series of photos of her and Jason standing on the beach, surrounded by a heart made of roses.
Maddie added that she and Jason will be getting hitched in the spring of 2025. Jason will be the 13th child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to tie the knot.
Unlike some of his siblings, 24-year-old Jason has strayed from many of the Duggars’ strict modesty and courtship standards in recent years.
Back in May– when he soft-launched Maddie on social media– he posted photos of them holding hands and even (gasp!) front-hugging before becoming engaged.
(As Counting On and 19 Kids & Counting fans will remember, Jason’s siblings all committed to holding hands only after becoming engaged, and only did “side hugs” until their wedding day. They also refrained from kissing or any physical intimacy until marriage.)

Jason has obviously decided to forgo the Duggars’ no-kissing policy (and ban on front hugs), as the proposal photos show Jason kissing Maddie on the forehead, and the lovers standing chest-to-chest.
Jason (and Maddie) both appear to be more relaxed when it comes to their clothing choices. Earlier this year, Jason shocked Fundie-minded fans when he posted a shirtless photo of himself to Instagram.
In other photos that Jason has posted to social media of him and Maddie, Jason is shown in shorts, while Maddie was wearing a spaghetti strap dress in their “launch” photos, as well as at Jana’s wedding.
As for Jason’s bride-to-be, she has already snatched the Instagram handle @maddiegraceduggar. (She will actually not be the only Madison Duggar in the family. The youngest daughter of Josh and Anna Duggar is also named Madison; however, her name is spelled as “Madyson.”)
The photographer used to capture photos of Jason’s proposal to Maddie also posted photos on Instagram.
“Jase put so much thought into his proposal,” the photographer, Kayla Johnson, wrote. “It was truly so beautiful to capture and witness.
The newly engaged couple received plenty of congratulatory messages from family and friends.
“Congratulations Jason!” wrote Amy Duggar King, who is Jason’s (very outspoken) cousin who is now estranged from a lot of the family.
“All the roses!” commented friend Carlin Bates. “Congratulations you two!”
As of press time, that leaves only three Duggar offspring who are single and over the age of 18. James— who is 23— is still single, as is youngest Duggar brother Jackson, who is 20. Johannah Duggar, 18, is also unattached.

He looks too much like Josh. I actually want to gag. I could never ever be in a relationship with someone who looks like his twin. Poor guy.
Watch out Jen!! I said the same thing and people on here are freaking out on me!!! One of them thinks I’m accusing the ones who resemble Josh as being pedos like he is!! And one is calling me Hannah????? What is wrong with these people?And all I said was several of them look like their brother!!!!
People are nuts! It’s not like I am accusing Jason of anything, I just happen to feel bad for him.

I bet they kissed already too. I am glad the Duggar kids are straying from (honestly ridiculous) rules their parents forced on them. By this rate, Josie will be wearing a mini wedding dress at her wedding (imagine JB&Mochelle’s reaction!)
Ewww!! In that third picture where he is hugging her on the beach, he looks just like his brother Josh!! That would be enough to give any girl nightmares!!! Unfortunately, several of the Duggar guys look like Josh!!

I think “Laura” is “Hannah.” If they’re actually two people, one is just as ridiculous as the other. Both just need to be ignored and maybe they’ll go away. 🙄
Who is Hannah? Could you please explain what I’m being “ridiculous” about? As I said, all I was doing was pointing out the resemblance of Josh Duggar to some of his brothers. I don’t get why people are being so weird about this.
I mean, brothers often have a lot of physical similarities. People seem to think that I’m saying the brothers have the same personalities or something, and that’s not what I’m talking about.

No one on here likes the Duggars, it’s pretty much an unwritten, and written, rule we’ve all agreed to abide. I doubt that’s why it got downvoted. I could be wrong on that, but, who the hell knows, lmao.
Either way, no one here likes the Duggars-as a collective-even if they like individual ones, at times. You won’t find very many people or comments defending them, save very few exceptions.
Thanks for the reply. I also dislike the Duggars so I’m baffled by the crazy comment from “IMO” and “Shar” and all of the downvotes. Especially the one from IMO. It makes no sense to me at all. I’m assuming the “Hannah” she’s referring to is one of the Duggar wives??? Oh well.
