The Slaton sisters are back for another season.
This week, TLC released the trailer for the upcoming sixth season of 1000-Lb. Sisters, set to premiere in October.
In the trailer for the upcoming season, viewers see Amy Slaton adjusting to life as a single woman following her split from husband Michael Halterman. Amy does this by treating herself to a “single mom bad a**” makeover and taking up strip aerobics.
As you do…
After seeing her sister become “slimmer” and more “comfortable with her own body,” Tammy Slaton is inspired to make some changes of her own by having a procedure to remove her excess skin. Tammy’s doctor informs her that the process will take multiple surgeries, and Tammy fears she will not be approved for the multi-step procedure.
In addition to strip classes and consultations for skin removal, Tammy, Amy & Co. will bring their Slaton family charm to London in the upcoming season.
“I don’t think they ready for us,” Amy says, to which Tammy adds, “They better get ready.”
Between double-decker bus rides, high tea and sightseeing, Tammy and Amy’s brother, Chris Combs, says he hopes the vacation will bring the family closer together, admitting in the trailer that he’s cautiously optimistic.
“In the past, the family trips have torn us apart,” he says. “Hopefully, this trip will bring us together as a family.”
Despite Chris’s wishes, it appears that viewers will see Amy and Tammy hit a rough patch (or two) in the upcoming season, with Tammy accusing Amy of running her mouth too much, and Amy firing back at Tammy for trying to boss her around.
“I can’t keep up with who’s fighting with who,” a frustrated Chris says in the trailer.
We also see Tammy strike a nerve with sister Amanda Halterman, resulting in Amanda kicking her sis to the curb.
“I have put up with this for 30-some years,” Amanda says. “Because ‘poor Tammy, she’s fat, she can’t do s**t.’ Now that she’s lost the weight, I’m not excusing that behavior anymore.”
As for Tammy, she claims her weight loss has left Amanda feeling “kinda jealous.”
“She’s not the pretty sister no more,” Tammy says.
Viewers may also get to see Amy’s recent run-in with police on the upcoming season of “1000-Lb. Sisters.”
As The Ashley told you last week, Amy and her boyfriend Brian Lovvorn were arrested on Labor Day for illegal possession of Schedule 1 and Schedule VI narcotics, as well as two counts of child endangerment. The pair earned their holiday trip to the slammer after cops were called to the Tennessee Safari Park to investigate a guest with an alleged camel bite, who turned out to be Amy. Upon their arrival, officers were reportedly “immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from” the vehicle that Brian, Amy and Amy’s two sons, Gage and Glenn, were in. During a search of the vehicle, psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana were allegedly found and Amy and Brian were taken into custody.
While the incident isn’t mentioned in the trailer, Amy was being followed by cameras at her court hearing last week, so fans can probably expect to see the fallout from her arrest play out on the upcoming season.
Season 6 of “1000-Lb. Sisters” premieres Tuesday, October 8 on TLC. Watch the trailer below.
