‘Teen Mom’ News Pile: Cory Wharton Ripped By Fans Over Cringy Post About Taylor Selfridge; Former Show Security Guard Tells All About Filming with Farrah Abraham & More

“…when he knows damn well we’re both gonna get skewered over his ‘appreciation’ posts….”

From bragging about their non-wives on Instagram, to rejecting a former co-star’s apology, it’s been a busy week for the stars/former stars of the Teen Mom franchise! In an effort to bring you up-to-date on the latest Teen Mom: The Next ChapterTeen Mom and Teen Mom 2 news, The Ashley brings you the Teen Mom News Pile.

Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last week or so…

Fans Absolutely Roast Cory Wharton Over Cringy “Appreciation” Post for Baby Mama Taylor Selfridge, Despite Refusing to Propose

Taylor, girl…you SURE you still want that ring? Even after seeing THIS?!

Cory’s recent tribute to his wife er… fiance… um girlfriend, Taylor, didn’t exact go over quite as the ‘Teen Mom’ star planned.

On Wednesday, Cory took to Instagram to express how grateful he is to have Taylor by his side for the last seven years. Suited up in a tank top and beanie combo, Cory— who recently had surgery on his leg— praised Taylor for sticking by him while they built “an empire” together…or something.

“Most women want a man that’s already established,” Cory wrote in the post’s caption. “A strong woman will be part of his struggle, survive it, succeed together, and build an empire. We’ve been with each other for 7 years despite what everyone was saying about it & I’m so thankful to have her by my side, especially through times like this where I’m no help and I’m down on crutches. Love you baby.”

In the photos Cory and Taylor— who both chose to wear sunglasses inside, for some reason— pose happily together; however, Cory’s fans rushed to the post’s comment section to take Cory to task for refusing to marry Taylor, despite the fact that they have two kids and a house together.

I have so many questions: why are they wearing sunglasses indoors? Why are they doing weird Glamour Shots poses in a waiting room?

As fans will remember, Taylor expressed on the most-recent season of Teen Mom Family Reunion her intense desire to be Cory’s wife, while Cory stated that he didn’t want to propose to her. On a recent episode of ‘Next Chapter,’ Taylor became upset when Cory called her his wife…even though they aren’t married.

Fans were less-than-kind to Cory for continuing to string Taylor along.

“Wife duties with a girlfriend title, the audacity to say she survived it,” one person wrote. “The right man knows immediately, she deserves so much more.”

“Exactly that long a** caption with no promise rings lol,” someone added.

“At this point I’m rooting for Taylor to leave him,” someone else wrote. “I think she deserves better than 7 years and no ring. It’d be one thing if it didn’t bother her but she’s expressed many times how hurt she is by it. Go ahead and find a man that can’t wait to make you his wife Taylor cuz Cory ain’t it.”

“I guess these IG posts are to suffice!” another person wrote. “Please stop playing in her face! She really loves you to deal with this embarrassment! No offense!”

“Sad that she has to be reduced to BEGGING for commitment on national television,” someone else commented. “If you really love her then make an honest woman out of her. She’s a saint, she deserves it.”

Taylor did not respond to any of the comments on the post.

Former ‘Teen Mom’ Security Guard Reveals What It Was Like Working with Farrah Abraham

No word on if she made the poor dude wear these glasses while on the job…

A security guard who worked behind-the-scenes of ‘Teen Mom OG’ is speaking out about what it was like filming alongside the Backdoor Teen Mom herself, Farrah.

In a recent verified Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) post, a person who worked security during the first three seasons of ‘Teen Mom OG’ came forward to answer fans’ questions about the show. (In order to do a verified AMA, the person has to show the Reddit admins proof that they are who they say they are, just FYI.) The security guard— who only worked in Austin, Texas, following Farrah’s story after ‘Teen Mom’ came back after being rebranded as ‘Teen Mom OG’— stayed for three seasons. (We can assume he no longer worked on the show after Farrah was fired from ‘Teen Mom OG’ in 2017.)

Anynightmare, the security guard revealed just how bad it was working on-set with The Big F. As The Ashley told you in a 2018 tell-all post, Farrah treated the production/crew pretty poorly overall, and the security guard’s AMA confirmed it, revealing that he even got to use Farrah’s infamous driveway Porta-Potty while shooting the show.

The crap inside the Porta-Potty was nothing compared to the crap the crew had to deal with inside the house…

“The porta-potty wasn’t the issue… it was how she acted like they were second-class citizens and not worthy of using an inside bathroom. She talked to them like absolute s**t,” the guard said of Farrah’s treatment of the crew.

“Se’s actually worse than you think. There were days I’d sit in the crew van and literally cry listening to the audio coming in from the house… She is a horrible human being,” he added.

The guard also confirmed what The Ashley’s sources told her years ago about Farrah not getting along with any producer except Heather Walsh, who was later fired.

“If I leave a light on and drink enough, I can almost sleep at night and not have nightmares of Farrah in her Froco sunglasses…

“As far as I ever saw, she had a good relationship with one producer- mostly because she let Farrah walk all over her…my first meeting with [Farrah] was when she was screaming at me that ‘we’ were leaving- I had to stay with the B-roll crew covering Sofia and Debz at the house,” he wrote, adding, “Heather Walsh is a freaking saint in my book- I think that’s one of the reasons Farrah eventually lost her s**t, Heather kinda got shuffled to the side…”

(As The Ashley told you, Farrah would also tell producers and crew members that they were “fired” from working with her, forcing the execs to constantly replace production and crew members for Farrah’s shoots.)

As for how “real” ‘Teen Mom OG’ scenes were, the guard confirmed that nothing was set up; however, the cast was placed in situations that the producers knew would make them act in a certain way.

“The way I described the ‘TMOG’ setup was that it was ‘reality-like’ in that they weren’t scripted in a ‘pro-wrestling’ sort of way but more in the way of they knew these people and how they’d act so well that they placed them into situations and let them be themselves,” he wrote. “I think, if anything, they toned down how terrible Farrah was in real life…”

The guard claimed he was working on the day that Farrah got into an explosive fight with executive producer Larry Musnik, and even gave some insight as to what really caused Farrah to get all fired up that day.

“Get in the Porta-Potty and think about what you’ve done, Peasant!”

“The Larry/Farrah blowup scene- she was ranting on-camera about [her late baby daddy Derek [Underwood] and how MTV was exploiting her trauma, blah blah. The real reason for the fight? She was talking to another network about appearing on a similar show with [her mom] Debz. MTV said no because it was ‘their’ story…” he wrote. “I think Derek, and a lot of her other ‘issues’ were worked to create an excuse for her behavior.”

The guard claimed he never saw any signs of abuse at Farrah’s abode, although he mentioned that Farrah allegedly “drove like a maniac.”

This chick? Doing anything like a maniac? I find that hard to believe…

He also spilled about Farrah’s parents, Debra “Debz OG” Danielsen and Michael Abraham.

“Deb was just as insane as you think she is- I did a full body cringe every time she started speaking… She’s nutty. Exactly how she’s portrayed on the show… She’s definitely unaware of her age- I always picture her in the leopard print leggings or pleather… ”

Jesus God Leah I miss these days— and outfits— so much…

“She’s either incredibly well-medicated or she’s naturally floating on a cloud. Not a bad person, just not a ton of substance,” he said of Deb. “But, I didn’t have a lot of actual interaction with her.”

The guard was surprisingly on Team Michael, though.

“Y’all are wrong about Michael. That man put up with Farrah’s s**t, tolerated being around Deb better than any ex-husband I’ve ever seen, treated the crew like actual human beings and was a decent, normal-ish dude,” he wrote.

He also weighed in on Farrah’s odd relationship with her ex-boyfriend Simon Saran.

The only time Simon ever seemed happy during his time on ‘Teen Mom’ was when Amber stormed out and tried to slap Farrah…

“I really felt like they were just…together for some unfathomable reason,” he wrote. “Like, they didn’t appear to have anything to talk about when the cameras were off… For example: We took them to a vineyard for Valentine’s Day- Heather had to go with them inside (and make sure there was alcohol consumed, presumably) so there’d actually be conversation.

“…Simon was just… bland… Like, I can’t understand other than MAYBE appearance fees why they were together. I never really interacted with him but he just seemed like about the most boring person ever.”

Maci Bookout & Taylor McKinney’s Business License for Their “Things That Matter” Clothing Company Has Been Dissolved

“…stream of revenue that would pay for our kids’ 327 extracurricular activities and keep our fridge fully stocked with Bud Light at all times.”

The days of Maci Bookout and husband Taylor McKinney’s TTM Lifestyle clothing brand may be numbered.

The Sun reported this week that on August 10, the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office dissolved the business license for TTM Lifestyle due to the annual report for the business not being filed by the April 1 deadline. In order to keep the license active, the owner of the business– aka Taylor– is required to file the report, along with as a reinstatement form.

You mean to tell us THIS filing system is flawed?!

The company’s first business license was filed in 2015.

Despite TTM’s LLC now being listed as “inactive” and “not in good standing,” operations for the business are allowed to continue, though that’s pretty much where the good news ends. Currently, TTM Lifestyle has an Experian credit score of 46 out of 100, putting them in the category of “medium risk” of having “serious credit delinquencies within the next 12 months,” according to The Sun‘s report.

The McKinneys’ graphic tee biz also has a 3/5 Financial Stability Risk Rating, “indicating a medium potential risk of severe financial distress within the next 12 months.” This score also “predicts the likelihood of payment default and/or bankruptcy within the next 12 months.”

Maci and Taylor have not commented on the current status of their clothing brand and both continue to wear and/or promote the company on TV and social media. The TTM Lifestyle website also remains active.

Taylor and Maci, showing off some TTM’s offerings while reminding everyone that Bud Light will always be a thing that REALLY MATTERS to them.

The TTM troubles are just the latest financial woes to hit Maci and Taylor, who, as The Ashley previously reported, had a massive $351,699 federal tax lien filed against them in June. A month earlier, the pair had received a separate federal tax lien for $86,620. These liens were added to the pile of tax money Maci and Taylor already owed after being hit with a $105,346 federal tax lien in February and a $49,383 federal tax lien filed the same month against only Maci.

In 2023, the ‘Teen Mom’ couple were also hit with a $143,413 federal tax lien in a different Tennessee county and as of June, all five liens remained unpaid.

Listen to Maci and Taylor unenthusiastically hype up their TTM brand below.

Farrah Abraham Responds to Tyler Baltierra’s Recent Apology; Claims She Doesn’t Accept “Clout Chasing Apologies”

Let’s hope these two settle their differences amicably before they decide to throw on matching red thongs and launch a “Who Wore It Best” contest.

Farrah fired back at her former ‘Teen Mom OG’ co-star Tyler Baltierra this week after Tyler recently (kind of) apologized for judging Farrah in the past for her work in adult films.

As The Ashley told you last week, in between posing for scantily-clad snapshots on OnlyFans and ranting ad nauseam on social media about all things adoption/Brandon and Teresa Davis, Tyler issued a semi-apology to Farrah for previously slamming the Backdoor Teen Mom for doing sex work. (Last year, Farrah publicly called Tyler a “hypocrite” for jumping on the OnlyFans train after previously slamming her for showing her own body parts for profit.)

While Tyler admitted that he regretted the way Farrah was treated back in the day, he made a point to remind fans that his OnlyFans content is different than the adult film Farrah infamously appeared in and proceeded to market as a “leaked sex tape.” In his apology, Tyler also took it upon himself to point out that Farrah didn’t get booted from ‘Teen Mom OG’ because of her sex industry side-hustle, but rather “because she was a mean person.”

When both your extracurricular activities AND your personality are NSFW.

In response to the Tyler’s recent comments, Farrah took to social media to let him (and The Interwebs) know that the apology was very much not accepted.

PER LAW.

“I don’t except clout chasing apologies,” Farrah began her Instagram Stories post. (And, no, that’s not a typo. She wrote ‘except’ instead of ‘accept’ because…Farrah.)

She then accused Tyler of bringing her up as a way to promote the Season finale of ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,’ which aired the same night as Tyler went Live on Instagram. (To clarify, Tyler was asked by a fan if he regrets treating Farrah poorly over her adult film. He answered the question and Farrah was not discussed otherwise.)

Still, Farrah insisted that Tyler (and the rest of the ‘Teen Mom’ cast, presumably) brought up her name to promote the finale.

“They can’t get their own views to promote their finale with out me,” Farrah wrote, seemingly in a hurry and with no regard for the English language. “If I wasn’t present it wasn’t authentic.”

Farrah went on to kick the “Farrah Speak” into high-gear, claiming she has reached out to MTV and ‘Teen Mom’ executives in an effort to “bring this full circle.”

“ … I’ve done my part for all the supporters of ‘Teen Mom’ so we can finish what we started,” she wrote. “With or without the OG team there will be a full circle moment for supporters of the [‘Teen Mom’] franchise. Respectfully I’ve included them on the opportunity,” Farrah continued. “Excited if it’s on [Paramount+] OR 2 other Streaming platforms. It’s great to have freedom.”

“…with liberty and complete delusion for all!”

The Ashley considers herself fluent in “Farrah Speak,” and believes that Farrah is saying that she has contacted those associated with ‘Teen Mom’ and offered to return to the show (or another ‘Teen Mom’-related show). She is saying that it’s up to the higher-ups to decide if they will take Farrah up on her oh-so-gracious offer. The self-proclaimed Number One Celebrity In Our Nation also bragged that she has the “freedom” to make these decisions, likely due to her not being under contract for a show.

Anyway, after sufficiently confusing the masses with her MadLibs-style ramblings, Farrah proceeded to make things worse/more ridiculous by replying to a few viewers in the comment section on a post by @teenmomrealitea

“‘Except’ – did she finish HS,” one person asked, regarding Farrah’s use of the word “except” instead of “accept” in her reply to Tyler.

“I graduated high school early – I am completing a masters degree right now- KEEP UP & I hope you graduated high school,” Farrah responded to the individual. “That’s the least of my cares 😂 jokes.”

Farrah also had a solid response when asked about her allegedly being “clout chased,” with one person speculating that “clout chasing” was how Farrah herself “got famous.”

“ … No I got casted on a tv and was clout chased by celebs,” she replied. “#realitycheck diva.”

  1. If Ty was truthful he’d have personally apologized to Farrah, not just claim he’s apologizing without her even involved. I know she’s a pain but come on Ty you’re clearly not serious. You just wanna look good after all the crap you’re doing and dragging people down like Carly, B&T.

    1. I’ve made it very clear that I do not like Tyler, at all, I think he’s a shit human being, but this is one thing he’s said/done that doesn’t need an apology. I think it was idiotic of him to apologize for it at all. Of course he knows everyone realizes that’s not a sincere or serious “apology”, lmao. He doesn’t need to apologize to her for anything, because he wasn’t wrong when he said it, and those words are still not wrong today.

What he does with OF isn’t comparable to what she did and still does, it’s just not. Posing for pictures and/or video isn’t the same as having actual sex for money. Farrah has, regularly, participated in both and even she should be able to understand the difference between pictures and actual actions. Even toddlers know the bear on the page in the board book isn’t a real bear.

  2. Taylor Never-Wharton needs to leave his non-committed ass. She fulfills all the wife duties but he still refuses to give her the actual title. She’s pretty and very kind-hearted, she can do way better than him and he needs to wake up and realize that.

Not surprised by anything the security guard said.

Maci. You’re in your thirties. You’ve been given a literal fortune for doing next to nothing. Hire a financial advisor and pay your taxes. Please.

I didn’t even read the Farrah vs Tyler thing. They’re both insufferable people that think they’re better than everybody while they peddle their porn.

    1. Agreed. The problem is she now has two kids and a house with him. Splitting would be messy and likely difficult for the children. She’s kinda stuck with that knucklehead unless she has a job that pays well to support her and the girls (not sure if that’s the case).

    2. If I have to beg you for it, I no longer want it. And to do it on National TV and STILL be turned down? I know it would be a hassle to leave him, but at this point they’re not only not on the same page, they’re not even reading the same book.

  3. Corey is the type of guy who goes around telling women he is flirting/cheating with that he will “only leave my girlfriend if something better comes along.”

  4. i wanna feel bad for taylor but no ring after 7 years, 2 kids and a house, all i can think of is why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free

    1. Because not everybody wants to get married? Obviously that’s not the case here, but not everybody seeks marital status with their spouse.

  5. Taylor.. dump him. He’s dragging you down.

Idc. If you’ve ever had an uninvited guest destroy a bathroom.. you’d have a port a potty too.

None of the cast should be allowed to do porn online. None. It’s not a good look.

I wouldn’t be surprised if MTV hires her back. They’re desperate. They’ll do anything for a ratings boost but I doubt Farrah will bring one.

  6. I very much dislike Maci and always have.

    However..

If I were forced to publicly defend multiple serious drug abusers, domestic terrorists and abusers just so I could keep a roof over my children’s heads.. I would probably do way more than drink Bud Lights.

  7. Maci is and has been since the show started a severe alcoholic. She and Tyler BOTH hate Ryans guts she has to put on a front for a story line, pitiful, can’t get real jobs because she for one has no skills.

    1. Jealous much? Maci may enjoy a cocktail but she is a total overachiever! An exceptional mother, a fiercely loyal friend and has a strong moral compass. Find someone else to pick on! You’re embarrassing yourself searching for flaws in such an exemplary individual.

      1. Overachiever?
        In.. drinking??
Maybe 15 years ago when she was in high school but as an adult, absolutely not. The opposite, actually.

Yes. We’re all insanely jealous of Maci and the absolute nothing she’s accomplished. Yes. You got us.

    2. Everything you stated is untrue. Maci is not a severe alcoholic. I know this for an absolute fact. And you should not accuse someone of something if you don’t know for a fact that it’s true.
Taylor does have a “real” job. A full-time regular job.
Maci is wealthy from doing Teen Mom. Why should she have to work if she has been smart enough with that money to be able to stay home with her kids? I don’t work outside the home either. I don’t have to. And no one is over here telling me to “get a real job”. Why should Maci have to? It’s just something people blindly say about everyone on these shows. But why would these people “get a real job” if they don’t have to? It’s their life. They don’t have to work just because people online are mad about it.
Also, there are millions of people with “no skills” in particular. They may have just graduated from high school, or gotten a GED, or taken college courses like Maci. And they all find jobs. There are plenty of jobs available for people with “no skills” as you say.

      1. If someone makes a habit out of sitting around, complaining about their financial situation, while also not paying their bills, then yes, they do need to get a job-and that applies to EVERYONE. If the money she’s made from the TM franchise, plus Taylor’s income isn’t enough to cover their basic needs, taxes and general household/business expenses, then something needs to change.

I don’t work outside of the home anymore either (I work from home, though), and I have a very large family. If the income both myself and my better half brought into the home was not enough to cover even something as basic as taxes I would make some changes. The first change would be to stop bringing more children into the mix-because it’s unfair to them, and everyone else to do so. The second would be adjusting existing expenses and knocking out the unnecessary. The third would be finding better and/or more financial means. If that means getting a “real job” so be it, that’s what grown ups do.

You don’t need a college degree or even years of experience to have a job, it’s not rocket surgery. But you do need the desire to get off your ass and do something to change your station in life. That is what she lacks, the desire to do better and be better, everything else is irrelevant.
