The Sister Wives family tree keeps on growing!
Maddie Brown Brush— the daughter of family patriarch Kody Brown and his ex-wife Janelle— announced on Sunday that she’s pregnant (again). Maddie took to Instagram to reveal that she and her husband Caleb Brush are expecting their fourth child next year.
“What a wild year! Looks like 2025 might be a little crazy too!” Maddie captioned a photo of herself cradling a baby bump. “Baby Brush #4 coming March 2025.”

Maddie confirmed in the comment section of her post that she and Caleb have not yet found out the gender of the baby.
In addition to growing a new baby, Maddie has been working with her mom Janelle and Caleb on starting a flower farm in North Carolina (where Janelle recently relocated after getting away from Flagstaff, Arizona— and Kody). The trio recently announced that Taeda Farms is in the works.

Baby No. 4 will be Kody’s seventh grandchild. (Maddie and Caleb are already parents to son Axel and daughters Evie and Josephine, and her sister Mykelti is the mom of three kids.) However, it’s unlikely that Kody will have much interaction with the new baby, as he and Maddie currently have no relationship.
On a recent episode of ‘Sister Wives,’ Kody refused to discuss on-camera why he’s become estranged from Maddie and her husband Caleb— whom he used to be very close to. (Not only did the couple allow Kody to marry them, but they also gave their daughter Evie the middle name “Kodi” in honor of Maddie’s dad.)
“I won’t talk about her,” Kody said of Maddie when a producer asked him to take about their estrangement.
During the episode, which was filmed in late 2022, Janelle confirmed to viewers that Maddie and Kody had still not reached out to one another, adding that Maddie no longer has a relationship with Kody’s (only remaining) wife, Robyn Brown, either.
“[Maddie’s] pretty much written them both off,” Janelle said. “She doesn’t really want him to have any contact unless he can commit to a consistent presence.”
When asked to comment on the current state of his and Maddie’s relationship, Kody told producers, “I won’t talk about her.” Meanwhile, Robyn claimed she didn’t understand why Kody isn’t reaching out to not only Maddie, but some of the other kids from whom he’s estranged.
“I know he’s in a very angry and hurt place, but he should just be putting in the effort,” Robyn said. “But I think the kids should be doing the same thing, too.”
During an episode last year, Janelle gave more insight into the father/daughter estrangement, adding that they’ve been on the outs since 2021.
“Maddie doesn’t call him because of his behavior lately,” Janelle said during the episode. She’s like, ‘I don’t know what to do with him. I don’t know who this guy is.’ She has to consider her children. She has to consider the stability of what they see or perceive as a grandfather. There’s a lot of things at play here. It’s not just Maddie not calling him.”
In November 2023, Maddie confirmed that she does not want Kody in her kids’ lives if he can’t commit to being consistent.
“They don’t [know who my dad is],” Madison said. “They don’t recognize him. Like I said… I’m not going to force you to have a relationship with my kids. They are a gift, and they are so amazing…When I stop working on that relationship, or stop making that relationship happen, or something happened and you’re not there, I can’t explain that to a six-year-old without their feelings getting hurt,” Madison added. “Where there is unnecessary heartache, I’m not going to put that into their lives.”

It’s so crazy that she’s pregnant with baby #3 on the show, but pregnant with baby #4 in real life. TLC really needs to speed up timelines/production. Two years behind is insane.
I like them but I’ll always be a little grossed out that he was almost 30 and she was a teenager when they got married…

Not when they first started having feelings for each other. They talked about it on the show. They said it was when her husband died. She was 17 at the time.
It was when Maddie’s uncle (kodys brother) died. I don’t know why I typed husband. They started dating then and Maddie was 17.
She was a teenager when they got engaged and barely 20 when they got married. Still weird.
Maddie sounds normal. I don’t blame her for not wanting a relationship with Kody or Robyn. Four kids is quite a bit, but that’s her choice.
