Former ‘Counting On’ Star Jason Duggar Marries Fiancée Maddie Grace Jones: Details on the Couple’s Tennessee Wedding

“We’re hitched, y’all!”

Another Duggar has tied the knot.

Jason Duggar, the 12th child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, married fiancée Maddie Grace Jones on Thursday at a fall-themed ceremony held in Newport, Tennessee, People reports.

Jason and Maddie said “I do” in front of 300 friends and family members at The Estate at Sweetwater Creek, surrounded by mountainous scenery.

Standing by Jason’s side for the big day was his brother Jedidiah Duggar, who served as best man, joined by brothers James, Justin and Jackson Duggar, who rounded out the groomsmen. Meanwhile, Maddie’s bridal party included Jason’s sisters Johanna, Jennifer, Jordan and Josie Duggar.

According to the outlet, Jason and Maddie’s wedding guests also participated in the event by praying over the couple’s rings in a special “ring warming” ceremony.

As for the wedding reception, Jason and Maddie– who are planning to honeymoon in Italy– opted for an Italian menu and cheesecake and ice cream for dessert. Like Jana Duggar’s recent wedding to Stephen Wissmann, Jason’s and Maddie’s celebration ended with dancing. As Counting On fans know, the Duggars have been outspoken against dancing for years, with Michelle previously claiming that it encourages “sensual” feelings, and Jim Bob stating that the Duggars do not believe in “shaking body parts” around and drawing attention to their bodies by dancing.

Jason and Maddie reportedly met after connecting on Instagram in 2023. As The Ashley previously told you, Maddie took to social media in August to reveal that Jason had popped the question.

While Maddie claimed at the time that she and Jason planned to walk down the aisle next spring, the two were seemingly too anxious to hold out for a spring ceremony and instead, opted to tie the knot much sooner.

“Thatta boy!”

Leading up to the couple’s wedding, Maddie shared her excitement about getting to celebrate her and Jason’s big day surrounded by loved ones.

“Just having everybody together just to celebrate us, because you never get another day in your life where all of your loved ones are together,” she told People. “Especially for us, because I’m from Tennessee, and so half my family lives in Tennessee and Kentucky, and then we’re moving to Arkansas. Just being able to see everybody in one place. It’s a big party where everybody gets together.”

As The Ashley previously reported, Jason was hit with a civil lawsuit last month for allegedly illegally posing as a contractor and committing negligence and fraud. The lawsuit was filed by a man who purchased a house that Jason served as the contractor on under Madison Holding, LLC, which was also named in the suit.

The newlywed has yet to comment on the lawsuit.

  1. “too anxious”-you mean they are horny and want to do it asap. We see you Duggars. This wedding happened FAST. I wouldn’t be surprised if they soon announced a baby. (And ANOTHER brother of Justin would have a child before him who is married for 3 years now…they would have spoken up by now if they had issues, I just think they aren’t ready yet and are lying to his family that they are. I hope that’s the case and if it is, good for you, Justin. Have a kid when you are ready!)
