Christina Hall’s Estranged Husband Josh Tries to Stop HGTV Star From Selling the Tennessee Home He’s Lived In By Filing Emergency Court Order

“Hell no, I won’t go! Take that Christina!”

Christina Hall is planning to sell her Tennessee home— and boot her soon-to-be ex-husband Josh Hall out of it for good— and Josh is not happy about it!

As The Ashley reported last week, Christina publicly announced that she had listed her Franklin, Tennessee farmhouse for sale for a cool $4.5 million. The farmhouse— which Josh had lived in part-time since he and Christina both filed for divorce in July — was purchased by Christina in 2021 before their marriage. Last week, the Christina in the Country star gloated on social media about selling it, and later went on to call Josh a “gold digging little biatch.”

Josh is now attempting to stop the Tennessee home from being sold out from under him by filing a temporary emergency order in court. The Daily Mail— which broke the news of Josh’s filing— stated that Josh claimed in his court docs that he offered Christina a “global settlement offer” for the house, but she listed it anyway, without his consent or a court order.

According to Josh, Christina allowed him to live at the farmhouse when it was unoccupied. Josh claims he stayed there for 12 days in September, but has since had to relocate because of the home being listed for sale. Because of this relocation, Josh claims that he is “suffering prejudice” because his living expenses are now increasing due to the move.

Daily Mail reports that Josh is claiming that, although Christina is the sole owner of the farmhouse, he does have claim to “appreciation interest” due to “the paydown of the mortgage” on the home during their two-year marriage.

Josh— who starred with Christina on her show Christina on the Coast— stated in the court docs that he only found out that the farmhouse had been listed for sale when he saw it posted on social media. He claims that, one day before it was listed for sale, Christina asked him for a “written agreement” to state that she could sell the house. He stated that he refused to agree, but Christina listed the home for sale on September 24 anyway. Josh claims that, also on September 24, Christina presented him with a proposed “Stipulation and Order” about the home that he refused to sign as well.

Josh states in his paperwork that, on September 25, he presented Christina with a global settlement offer which contained terms relating to the farmhouse, but Christina rejected the proposal five days later.

After Josh found out that Christina had listed the home for sale, he contacted Christina and reminded her that he did not agree to the sale, only to be told by Christina that his objection was “ineffective” and that she would not take the listing down.

In his court docs, Josh stated that he and Christina agreed that she would maintain the exclusive use and possession of their Newport Beach, California, home while Josh would live at the Tennessee farmhouse (when it wasn’t being rented out). He claims that he only moved to Tennessee because of that agreement.

“My relocation to Tennessee was significantly influenced by our aforementioned Stipulation allowing me to enjoy this property throughout our separation,” he said. ” I will now suffer prejudice because my living expenses will undoubtedly increase. She is enjoying our community residence [in California]. She is in control of our entire marital estate. She has cut me out of our businesses post-separation, impacting my earnings.”

He claims that Christina’s lifestyle has not been affected much by the split, while his life has changed significantly.

“Christina has continued to maintain the marital status quo while I have endured significant changes, to my detriment,” he wrote. “I anticipate that Christina will claim that this sale is in the ‘usual course of business.’ Any such argument is a farce. [The Tennessee home] was purchased for us to enjoy as a family. It was not a business investment.”

Josh also offered his thoughts on why Christina is so intent on selling the home, which is called Parker Branch.

“Christina has claimed that she wishes to sell Parker Branch so that she can pursue her new dream of owning a vineyard in Napa Valley,” he wrote. ” This is an entirely new and impulsive venture for her, unrelated to any ‘usual’ business that she has engaged in. In summation, there exists no compelling basis to sell the Parker Branch property during the pendency of this action. I am requesting that the Court grant immediate orders to prevent the immediate loss of the Parker Branch residence.”

Christina has not commented on Josh’s latest filing in court; she did, however, have plenty to say last Friday on Instagram Stories in regard to the home and her feelings that Josh is trying to “steal” money from her and her children in the divorce.

Along with the link to her home’s listing on Zillow, Christina posted a not-so-subtle message to her estranged husband, telling him he had some editing to do to his Instagram bio, which currently lists his location as “Leipers Fork, Tennessee,”

“I guess ‘Leipers Fork’ is gonna have to come off the bio soon,” the mom of three wrote. “Time to go back to reality… .”

Christina then went on to call out Josh– though not by name– for allegedly taking money from her in the divorce.

“Remember when you said you would never steal from me or my kids and you would just be happy in a van with your dog,” she wrote. “I guess plans changed. All about trying to take everything you can … with your mind on my money and my money on your mind. Byeeee.”

In a follow-up Instagram Story on Friday, Christina explained that she felt Josh was stealing from her by asking her for “an obscene amount of [money]” for a “short term marriage”–- likely referring to the spousal support Josh has requested–- as well as allegedly stealing rental income from her on two separate homes– presumably the more than $35,000 Christina alleges Josh diverted from her separate property rental income to his personal bank account on July 8, 2024 .

Christina also went on to accuse Josh’s “rep” of putting out incorrect statements in the media in an attempt to make Josh “look all innocent,” before going on to let Josh know she has no intention of ceasing her social media slams anytime soon.

“ … this is my page and as long as you’re being a gold digging little biatch I don’t have to stop doing anything,” she wrote.

“ … everything I’ve said is 100 accurate and I haven’t even scratched the surface of your character.. Defamation is ‘false claims’ ..you damaged your own reputation sweetie. You aren’t Amber Heard – nice try. Ps my autobiography is in the works and is gonna be a real page turner.”

This is the third divorce for Christina in seven years. She was married to Tarek El Moussa (whom she shares two children with) from 2009 to 2018. Shortly after her divorce from Tarek was finalized, Christina married Ant Anstead and welcomed a son with him. Christina and Ant split in September 2020 and finalized their divorce in June 2021. Just months later, Christina announced that she was engaged to Josh.

“I guess third time WASN’T a charm!”

Josh and Christina were due to appear in a new HGTV show called The Flip-Off alongside Tarek and his wife Heather. Shortly after Christina and Josh filed for divorce, though, it was announced that Josh had been cut from the show, which had not yet begun filming.
