Since leaving Teen Mom 2 in 2022, Kail Lowry has pumped out podcasts, nabbed herself a new partner and pushed out three more babies, though she revealed this week that the latter two actually played a significant role in her leaving the MTV series, unbeknownst to viewers.
As you may remember, Kail got into a heated argument with āTeen Mom 2ā producers during the showās Season 11 finale, later confirming on Facebook that her time on the series was finally over.
On a recent episode of the Just Trish podcast, Kail told host Trisha Paytas that, while she had been ready to leave āTeen Mom 2ā long before announcing her departure, it was her relationship with then-boyfriend Elijah Scott, to whom she is now engaged, as well as her surprise pregnancy with her son Rio that made her ultimately exit the show.
āYeah, I left in 2022 when I got pregnant with my fifth son because I was like, I canāt, weāre not doing this,ā she said.
Kail also revealed that she, in no way, was ready to have a child with Elijah at the time she got pregnant, as they had only recently started dating.
“It was like, we did not plan to get pregnant. It was the first time I slept with him,” she said.
āSo also, that, and we had just developed a relationship,ā she continued. āSo, I was like, this is just a lot for one person.ā
As fans know, Kail and Elijah welcomed their first child Rio in November 2022 after keeping the pregnancy (and birth) hidden from the public for a long time. The couple welcomed twins Verse and Valley in late 2023. Kail also shares son Isaac with Jo; 10-year-old Lincoln with ex-husband Javi Marroquin; and sons Lux, 7, and Creed, 4, with ex Chris Lopez.
Kail noted on the podcast that another reason she decided to leave the show in 2022 was the fact that her own podcasts had become āsuper successfulā and she was bringing in more money from that venture than she was from āTeen Mom 2āā something she mentioned on the show prior to her exit.
ā ā¦ I couldnāt justify the stress that I was going through for āTeen Mom,āā she said.
The mom of seven also mentioned her frustration over āTeen Mom 2ā producers wanting her to talk about her relationships with her childrenās fathers on cameraā another thing fans saw her express annoyance over leading up to her exit. Kail called the baby daddy discussions āold and tired,ā insisting that she had āother dramaā she couldāve talked about on the show instead. According to Kail, however, producers werenāt willing to listen to those suggestions.
ā ā¦ Iām like, thereās so much trauma [in my past] like, yāall would love it,ā Kail said.
Despite her frustration over how things ultimately turned out for her on āTeen Mom 2,ā Kail said sheās open to making a return to reality TV, revealing on the podcast that sheās āunder contract somewhere else.ā
āSo you can do your own [reality show]?ā Trisha asked, to which Kail replied, āYeah, hopefully, if someone buys it. Somebody buy my show.ā
Kail went on to say that reality TV isnāt something Elijah necessarily has a desire to pursue, before going on to joke about her fiancĆ©ās reserved personality and the fact that āhe doesnāt express anything on his face.ā
ā ā¦ Thereās rumors that like, I hold him hostage and stuff,ā she said. āIām like, I donāt know if he should be on TV, you know what I mean? Like, I donāt know if it would be good or bad, so weāll see.ā
As The Ashley previously told you, Kail spoke about a possible reality TV return in an interview with People magazine last year, claiming she was āinteresting enoughā to draw an audience.
āI do think that I have proved that I have the capability to be on a reality show and be interesting enough for people to watch,ā she said. āI think people would be very interested to see the dynamic behind the scenes of podcasting, especially when itās really saturated and people donāt like each other.
āThereās a lot of cattiness that people donāt realize, and so I think that would be a really interesting show,ā she added.

She has done very well for herself and her kids. At least she’s not an idiot who doesn’t realize they have to pay taxes. She seems to treat her kids very well. I know everyone wants to mouth off. I don’t think people realize what she has gone through. She at least broke the cycle of abuse, abandonment and alcoholism. I’m sure people will downvote me. I grew up in extreme abuse. So, I probably feel a bit more sympathetic to her.
Sheās not stupid, just messy. The fact sheās one of the only ones who didnāt fuck up her finances speaks to me.
