‘Teen Mom’ News Pile: Kail Lowry & Vee Torres Slammed For Not Addressing Their Apparent Feud on Podcast; Ryan Edwards’ Pregnant Girlfriend Reveals Baby Name & More

“It’s, um, all good over here. Yeah, that’s it…”

From picking baby names to picking fights with their coworkers (allegedly), it’s been a busy week for the stars/former stars of the Teen Mom franchise! In an effort to bring you up-to-date on the latest Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, 16 and Pregnant, Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 news, The Ashley brings you the Teen Mom News Pile.

Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last week or so…

Ryan Edwards’ Pregnant Girlfriend Amanda Connor Reveals Their Choice of Baby Name; Shades His Ex Mackenzie in Process

“I respectfully decline your name suggestion of Felony Melanie Edwards.”

Ryan is currently preparing to welcome his fourth child with his third baby mama (as you do), and his pregnant girlfriend Amanda recently gave fans insight on what they plan to name their baby girl.

Amanda asked her followers for name suggestions, and among the names offered up was one that managed to include a shoutout to all of Ryan’s three baby mamas.

“Macy MacKenzie Amanda Edwards,” one person (jokingly?) suggested.

“I like it…except the Mackenzie part,” Amanda replied.

Fans noticed that the Amazon Baby Wishlist that Amanda made and posted on her TikTok bio, she and Ryan are asking for a letter “P” for the baby’s room, indicating that the name they have chosen begins with “P.” Amanda confirmed it, adding that Presley is their “first pick” for names.

“Presley & Jagger? You really like them rock star baby names, don’t ya Ryan?”
“Wait. There’s a JAGGER?”

Amanda also added that she wants her daughter to have two middle names.

This will be the second child for Amanda, who has a son from another relationship. (She doesn’t currently have custody of him but does have visitation.) In a recent interview, Amanda said she’s happy to get another shot at being a mom.

“For me, I can enjoy this pregnancy and I have a second chance at motherhood. For Ryan, he is in a place that he hasn’t been in for a long time. We are excited to move forward from our past mistakes,” she said.

Amanda told Us Weekly that she plans to be open with her daughter about her and Ryan’s past.

“Honesty is one of my biggest things, honest about who you are, about who me and Ryan are, I want to be honest about that,” she said. “I don’t want to hide anything from her. I’m going to be very cautious. I don’t want to be a helicopter mom, but I don’t want our child to go through anything that we’ve had to go through. I just want her to be very open to the world, but strong-minded about certain things.”

Listeners Demand Answers As Kail Lowry & Her ‘Baby Mamas No Drama’ Podcast Co-Host Vee Torres Seemingly Feud

Baby Mamas No Drama…most of the time.

Things seem to be rocky between at Kail Lowry and Vee Torres and fans are claiming that the pair’s Baby Mamas No Drama podcast is suffering because of it!

Kail and Vee– who is the wife of Kail’s first baby daddy, Jo Rivera– have hosted the podcast together since September 2020. However, the pair has been recording and releasing solo podcast episodes in recent weeks (sometimes joined by a friend), leading many to speculate online that there is, in fact, some drama going on between these baby mamas.

Jo, low-key wishing his wife never got wrapped up in this mess to begin with…

Last week’s episode, which was released October 15, was the third new episode in a row that did not feature Kail and Vee together, though both hosts have yet to give listeners an explanation for the recent format. Fans also noticed that Kail and Vee no longer follow each other on Instagram, leading to more speculation that the two are feuding.

Fans flooded the comment section of the podcast’s most-recent post on Instagram, demanding that Vee and Kail tell them what’s happening with the podcast and their relationship.

“Wish they’d address the elephant in the room,” a fan recently commented. “I hope they mend things. Not a fan of solo episodes.”

“We your listeners respectfully need answers,” another wrote.

“Please address why you’re not podcasting together anymore!” someone else wrote.

“We all know some s**t happened,” another commented. “Please just address it so the loyal fans aren’t left in the dark! I know you’ll say it ain’t none of y’all’s business. But it is! We voted for you guys! You got an award yes because of your own hard work but also us fans!!! We ❤️ you both”

Other listeners suggested that Kail and Vee consider changing the name of their podcast given what’s presumably going on between them, while another insisted the two go to therapy to “sort this alleged s**t out.”

“Don’t let the rift of jealously and fame get between y’all,” the listener added.

During an appearance on Trisha Paytas‘ Just Trish podcast last week, Kail confirmed that things with at least one of her baby daddies are difficult right now.

“It’s been a little rocky,” she said when asked if she has good relationships with Jo, Javi Marroquin and Chris Lopez. “It’s been a lot rocky, for sure.” (She didn’t, however, specify which of her baby dadii she was talking about, though.)

“It’s us…probably.”

While fans are clearly unhappy with Kail and Vee taking a break from recording together, this isn’t the first time it’s happened.

As The Ashley previously told you, back in 2021, Kail and Vee released three episodes from July 6 to July 20 in which they recorded episodes separately. While the duo ultimately reunited and resumed co-hosting duties together on July 27, Vee told listeners earlier that month that she and Kail were recording separately “until we get our s**t together.” Meanwhile, Kail also confirmed during one of her solo episodes that she and Vee were having some issues.

“See? THIS is why I have 13 other podcasts to fall back on.”

Bentley Edwards Celebrates Birthday Party; About to Become the First “16 and Pregnant” Kid to Turn 16

“Now that you can be my DD, you’re definitely my favorite.”

As of next week, Bentley Edwards will officially be the same age that his mom, Maci Bookout, was when she made her MTV debut on “16 and Pregnant” in 2009 with Bentley’s dad, Ryan Edwards.

The Ashley will give you a moment to run to Amazon and order yourself some wrinkle cream and a package of Werther’s Original candies because we are officially old, guys.

While Bentley– who is the oldest of all the babies born on “16 and Pregnant”– doesn’t officially turn the big 1-6 until October 27, Maci and her family threw the teen a golf-themed celebration over the weekend, featuring a big golf-cart entrance with lights displaying his name and some glow in the dark golfing for “Benny” and a group of his friends.

The entrance to Bentley’s big birthday blowout…this has “Cheyenne” written all over it!

As fans of ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ know, golf is one of the many sports that Bentley partakes in, with Maci often sharing photos from the soon-to-be 16 year-old’s competitions.

In photos shared of the party, Maci, as well as Bentley’s dad Ryan Edwards (and Ryan’s pregnant girlfriend Amanda Conner) are seen, in addition to an MTV film crew that was there to document the event for the upcoming season of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Also present were Bentley’s stepdad Taylor McKinney and Maci’s father. (There were probably others present but those were the only people The Ashley recognized from the videos.)

Just Bentley over here being a full-grown MAN, guys…

Leah Shirley, daughter of Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley, is the second-oldest baby born on “16 and Pregnant” and the next to turn 16. Leah will celebrate her 16th birthday a couple weeks after Bentley on November 12.

See clips from Bentley’s birthday below.

“16 and Pregnant” Star Autumn Crittendon’s Cause of Death Revealed

Autumn during her 2014 “16 and Pregnant” episode…

Trigger Warning: This story contains mention of drug overdose.

Three months after the untimely passing of Autumn Crittendon, her official cause of death has been revealed.

TMZ broke the news this week that the “16 and Pregnant” Season 5 star died from toxicity from a combination of fentanyl and para-fluorofentanyl (a synthetic opioid). Although Autumn’s sister, Misty, suggested in July that Autumn’s death was the result of foul play, her death has been ruled as accidental.

According to a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) report from 2022, the combination of para-fluorofentanyl and other opioids including fentanyl is especially dangerous.

“With para-fluorofentanyl… alone being capable of producing respiratory depression leading to death, the various combinations of these substances, in addition to possible other opioids including fentanyl-related compounds or adulterants included in each drug exhibit that could cause or exacerbate serious adverse effects, pose an even greater potential harm to the patient than that previously observed. Naloxone still serves as an effective drug to reverse opioid overdose; however, additional doses of naloxone might be required when stronger opioids like fentanyl, para-fluorofentanyl, metonitazene, or other benzimidazoles are involved or combined.”

Autumn— who was only 27 years old when she passed— appeared on “16 and Pregnant” to document the birth of her eldest son, Drake. She would go on to have two more children. It is unknown who is currently caring for Autumn’s children; however, Drake’s father Dustin Franklin is active in the youngster’s life, and is also the father of Autumn’s youngest child, a daughter born in November 2022.

Autumn and her three children…

In a Facebook post made days after Autumn’s death in July, Misty described the chaotic scene she came upon when she received news that something had happened to Autumn.

“ … Pulling up seeing all the vehicles, an empty ambulance.. and jumping out of the truck as soon as I could begging the paramedics and cops to tell me you were okay and they were just working to keep you alive in there.. But my worst fear was confirmed and I collapsed in the road … ,” Misty wrote. “I went down the hall to check the rooms to make sure you weren’t hiding back there, but they laid empty.. quiet.. I went where you were last and just stood there in disbelief.. how was my baby sister gone? I was just talking to her. No way is this real life. It’s not real. Begging God to give you back to us.. .

“I seen the shirt you were wearing and I held it so tight, I smelled it for so long as I just stood there empty, broken, finally allowing myself a moment to fall apart while I knew the kids were okay and I was alone,” she continued. “I’ll hold that shirt close to my heart forever. … We are gonna make sure these babies are okay. Your memory will not fade over time. It will live on every moment of every day.”

On the day that Autumn’s cause of death was officially revealed, Misty took to Facebook again, this time to pay tribute to her sister.

“Growing up, it was always just the two of us,” she wrote. “We did it all together, even becoming mothers. Then we raised our babies together and they then did everything together. We miss you so much, beautiful. I love you more than you’ve ever known.”

Sadly, Autumn is the fifth person from the “16 and Pregnant” series to pass awayFarrah Abraham’s baby daddy, Derek Underwood, died in 2008 (during the filming of her episode) in a car crash; Season 2’s Valerie Fairman passed away in 2016 from a drug overdose at the age of 23; Season 5’s Jordan Cashmyer died in 2022 after a battle with drug addiction; and in March of this year, Sean Grainger– the baby daddy of Season 6B’s Selena Gutierrez– died at the age of 20 in an ATV accident.

  1. Do I see this correctly or does Bentley, at almost 16, look TALLER than everyone else?! But we know he won’t follow in his mom’s footsteps, he is a smart kid. I wish him nothing but success but damn, this makes me feel old. xD

  2. Kail has everyone sign NDAs no one’s allowed to say anytging but she’s okay to spill other peoples news. I don’t think they’re having issues with any jealousy but probably how Kail thinks she’s better than everyone and creating this big “empire”. Issac is probably tired of caring for all the babies and is telling Vee/dad all about his frustrstions.

  3. How about instead of having another baby for a “Second chance at motherhood”, you get your shit together enough to get your FIRST, living child back?! Makes me sick when this happens. Seriously.

    1. She has visitation…

I hope the dad of her son is more stale. Her son might be better off staying with the dad ft no matter how long Amanda stay sober.

      1. I don’t think people take into consideration the child, because they’re too busy bashing Amanda with ‘gEt YoUr FiRsT KiD bAcK’. From what we’ve seen, she has visitation with him on what appears to be a fairly regular basis. Maybe the kid doesn’t WANT to live with her. Maybe he’s happy living primarily with dad and seeing his mom for visitation, and it won’t be in his best interest to mess up his life like that. You know- similar to kids of divorced parents. She doesnt ways word things in a good way, but ffs people still aren’t tired of running these mf into the ground yet.

  4. I find it very strange that people seem to want these two women to air dirty laundry/bash one another. If something is wrong between them, they’re actually both taking the high road and keeping it between themselves. Ffs.

    1. Right?! For once, Kail isn’t airing out dirty laundry on social media. I actually applaud her and Vee for keeping whatever it is to themselves. They lead somewhat public lives, but people are not entitled to every detail of what goes on behind closed doors.

  5. Kail never liked Vee. I still remember when she called Vee a “hood rat” for being in Jo’s rap video. I’m kinda surprised they even let that air back then. Also, unpopular opinion, Amanda and Ryan are going to shock everyone and stay CLEAN together.

    1. eh i doubt she “never liked vee” i remember when she started praising vee when she was still married to javi and even saying she made things difficult plus i doubt she’d start a podcast with her if that was the case. also i definitely agree with you on the ryan and amanda part! people act like drug addicts aren’t real people and that addiction is a disease that they can’t overcome and it’s not like they’ve been on the news for going to jail or 911 calls

    2. They are already not staying clean. As much as I believe in adults choosing for themselves whether or not to consume THC in any form, provided they are doing so responsibly, consuming it while pregnant is NOT being responsible, or staying clean. Those aren’t nicotine vapes she’s using, some of them are various other less potent forms, they’re still thc and still causing harm to the baby (even worse harm due to added terps and such in those particular forms). Even if she were also using nicotine vapes, that isn’t clean living either and putting the baby in harm, we already know the effects nicotine has on unborn babies. IF she can’t go 9 months without her vices, she most definitely can’t go the rest of her life.

      1. Oh wow, you’re saying she’s smoking cannabis? Would love to see the irrefutable proof of that because it’s a pretty heavy accusation.

        1. It’s the carts she has on her pens that are the proof. Those are all thc carts-and not nicotine, some of them are delta 8, some of them delta 9, some of them are other forms, but those are NOT nicotine carts. That’s not a heavy accusation if it’s the truth, and it’s precisely why she said she’s “trying to stop/slow vaping”, because it’s not nicotine. She got caught vaping THC and thought best to pretend she’s trying to quit. The disposables she’s used may be nicotine-many of them likely are, but not the carts.

          1. It is irrefutable proof if you know what those carts are. The fact that you don’t doesn’t change this.

Even if we were to play your “those aren’t THC carts” game, playing devil’s advocate for a moment, she’s still harming an unborn child. She is causing developmental damage (again, we KNOW it causes this, science has irrefutable proof!) to a child that has no choice in the matter, despite already knowing all of the risks. I notice you completely avoided that part of the comment. I would like to assume that you’re not okay with her harming her unborn child, like most intelligent human beings. I’d like to assume you’re smart enough to know that even the use of nicotine (again, playing devil’s advocate for a moment) will keep her on the path of addiction and certainly not working towards dealing with the demons that come with addiction. I would also like to assume that, as the intelligent person I believe you are, you’d know that the series of life choices she has made in the last year or so are not at all conducive towards reaching any level of sobriety. They are, in fact, indicative of someone who is not fully ready to aim for sobriety, nor willing to look at how choices affect those around them. (namely, her two children)

I can judge her actions, and judge what they are causing, and yes occasionally also judge her for them, while still realizing she’s a human being. She might be a shitty human being right now-and she very much is (I’d say the same if she didn’t have addiction issues, btw), but even I would like to see her do better. I don’t think she will any time soon, but that’s primarily due to my experience with people who refuse to really work on their addictions, or recognize that their actions have consequences for other people. I do believe she could potentially in the future but it will require a LOT of drastic changes and she is nowhere near ready, mentally or physically, to make them. Her actions have serious consequences for the two people who should be the most important people in the world to her-her children. I’d like to see her start working towards doing better, we already know that she knows better, now she needs to DO better. Until then, her actions are up for judgment, no matter how many people choose to enable her.

Ftr. I have a LOT of experience working with addicts and addiction, not only just by having children from those environments placed with me, but also working with them, standing up for and with them in the court system (especially those really working towards doing better), working in a safe haven environment, providing ample support through various programs for parents working on sobriety while trying to heal themselves and their families. My mouth may run, but my money and my walk backs it up. I don’t speak from my ass just to insult and denigrate, but I will speak the truth. The truth is, Amanda is not sober, is not working towards sobriety and is in fact making choices that will inevitably fuck up her path to sobriety if she keeps it up. She is also harming BOTH of her children-and that isn’t ever okay or acceptable, even though she has a disease.

  6. orrrr kail was in spain for her sons soccer match …. and was suppose to get married and told vee hey can you cover another week alone…. kail has been honest that her and joe barely communicate now but also Issac is 15 they dont need to communicate ……
ive had step kids theres a point ypu dont need to talk to the other parent

  7. I called it yesterday that was some kind of issue between Vee and Kail. I don’t read or follow anything but The Ashley so idk what’s all going on eith podcast.

Just certain words I guess people picked up on that too.
    Little things mean a pot

    1. For me it’s the second chance at motherhood comment. I just can’t because I have heard this too many times in my life.

      1. It’s particularly galling because her first child is still a child. It’s like she’s written him off because she’s going to have a new shiny toy. If she wanted a second chance at motherhood, she should have been focusing on being there for her first child as much as possible.

        1. Who’s to say she wasn’t focusing ‘as much as possible’ on being there? Addiction is a disease just like any other in that it can prevent you from living a normal life. I don’t condone the actions of addicts but fuck, some of the commenters here have a complete lack of empathy & almost seem like they’d happily tear these people apart. I’m guessing not one of yall has ever volunteered any time at all around homeless/those in active addiction, nor donated in any way to help these folks but yall sure do sit here and judge.

          1. The fact that she says that THIS pregnancy is her second chance at motherhood as opposing to even referencing the fact that she has a living, breathing child says it all. Stop acting like she’s getting judged in a vacuum. And, I’m not judging her for past actions. I’m judging her for the shit she is saying now.

      2. I understand where she’s coming from but it’s definitely poorly-worded & if she would sit down and gather her thoughts she could formulate her comments much better.
