Rachel Leviss‘s legal team is calling Tom Sandoval a liar, following the Vanderpump Rules star’s claim earlier this week that his one-time secret lover Rachel offered to drop the lawsuit she filed against him in February if he agreed to blame the discovery of their Scandoval affair on NBCUniversal (NBCU)– the company behind Bravo.
After Sandoval made the comments, Rachel’s lawyer Bryan Freeman accused Sandoval of telling an “outlandish lie,” and proceeded to verbally bitch-slap the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star in comments sent to a Bravo account on X.
Sandoval made the claim on the latest episode of his Everybody Loves Tom podcast, telling listeners that he believes Rachel’s motivation for filing the lawsuit against him for Eavesdropping, Invasion of Privacy and Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress, is all about the money.
As The Ashley previously told you, Rachel’s complaint cites alleged NSFW FaceTime videos involving her and Sandoval– which were discovered on Sandoval’s phone in March 2023 by Tom’s then-girlfriend Ariana Madix, ultimately exposing the Scandoval affair. Rachel claims very personal sexy time videos were recorded by Sandoval without her knowledge or consent. (Rachel also alleges in her lawsuit that Ariana– whom she’s also suing– obtained at least two of the videos and “distributed them and/or showed them to others” without her consent.)
While discussing the ongoing lawsuit this week with his podcast guests– including his girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson– Sandoval claimed that at one point, Rachel’s legal team offered to drop the charges against him if he agreed to blame NBCU for their affair going public.
“So her [legal] team came to my [legal] team and basically offered to drop all the charges against me … if I were to blame the way the affair was found out on NBCUniversal,” Sandoval claimed. “So [if I were to say] it was NBCUniversal’s fault that my phone fell out of [my pocket] and [that NBCUniversal] put me up to all this stuff … .”
Sandoval argued that the offer from Rachel’s legal team only proves that the lawsuit is “all about the f**king money,” and that it also contradicts Rachel’s claim that she was “manipulated” by him.
“ … She even said in the last scene that we filmed together, ‘I saw that you and Ariana were not in a strong relationship, so I went after you.’ That’s what she said,” Sandoval recalled. “ … And now she’s like, ‘Oh, he manipulated me.’ It’s like, girl, you’re the one that took your f**king clothes off and jumped in the pool.”
According to Sandoval, he was going through a mid-life crisis at the time of his and Rachel’s affair, telling listeners that he “didn’t know what [he] was doing.”
However, Sandoval said he still takes accountability for his part in Scandoval, despite his insistence that Rachel was the one to initiate the affair.
“I f**king did it, I’m just as at fault, but you came on to me first– big time,” he said. “You knew the situation, you saw the situation Ariana and I were in and you pursued me– YOUR words, Rachel, Raquel, Rocky, whatever the f**k you want to call yourself– YOU did that. And now you want money and now you claim to be the biggest victim in all this s**t.”
Sandoval also gave his take on Rachel’s podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, on which the former ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star nearly always frequently spoke about the Bravo series and/or her affair with Sandoval. (Rachel launched Rachel Goes Rogue in January and announced last week that she has decided to end the podcast.)
“ … and obviously some people did ask, ‘How do you feel about [Rachel] talking about you every week?’ It’s f**king annoying,” Sandoval said. “It’s really annoying.”
Sandoval went on to accuse Rachel of acting like she’s “a doctor in psychology” after spending time in a mental health facility in Arizona amid the Scandoval backlash, adding that Rachel now “thinks she can diagnose people.”
“ … It’s been really frustrating to hear these things over and over, for somebody to just be that obsessive compulsive over this situation,” Sandoval said.
The Schwartz and Sandy’s owner also alleged that Rachel has yet to move on from the Scandoval or “really take any accountability” for her actions.
“You know, she says that I isolated her,” he said, arguing that he did no such thing. “ … I was very much at her will, in a sense, because you know, I put myself in that situation, a terrible situation, I f**ked up. I made bad choices, which I very, very much regret to everybody who was involved– to Ariana, to my friends, family, to people that just had respect for me before. I mean, I let a lot of people down and there’s nothing that I can do to fix that.
“I did it and I take accountability,” he continued. “But there were two guilty people doing that. We were both at fault doing that.”
Following the release of Wednesday’s podcast episode, @thebravobabe, a Bravo fan account on X that had reported on the podcast episode– including the allegation that Rachel’s lawsuit is financially motivated– Rachel’s lawyer, Bryan Freeman, responded, telling fans Sandoval’s claim is not true, while also reminding people that Sandoval may not be the most-reliable source.
“Let’s not forget the source of this information is Tom Sandoval, who illegally and secretly recorded Rachel Leviss in a sexually compromising situation without her knowledge or consent while cheating on his girlfriend,” the attorney wrote to the account, which later posted the messages.
“Once again Tom Sandoval cannot be trusted and the reasons are glaring,” he wrote, adding, “This is complete nonsense and even more evidence of Sandoval’s inability to tell the truth.”

As The Ashley previously reported, a judge ruled in July that Rachel’s lawsuit against Sandoval and Ariana will be moving forward, despite the former couple’s respective attempts to have the case thrown out. As of now, the case is set to go to trial on November 3, 2025.

And Ariana sharing it for her friends to see, it’s appalling! Don’t know who to side with this thing smh.
If it’s true that he recorded her without consent – and it appears to be true given all we know plus the lawsuit moving forward – I wouldn’t blame her for being “all about the money.” In fact, if it’s true I want her to be all about the money to send a message to anyone else that thinks secretly filming someone’s intimate moments is okay. Seeking financial retribution is fair in this situation. He should pay her for what he did.
He clearly has learned nothing and Idk why I am surprised.
