EXCLUSIVE! Kody & Christine Brown Set to Face Off at December Court Date; Conference Can’t Be Filmed for ‘Sister Wives’

“See ya in court, Goldilocks!”

Christine Brown will soon come face-to-(ringlet covered) face in virtual court with her ex Kody Brown.

The Ashley can exclusively reveal that, on Tuesday, the Sister Wives stars— who are currently battling over custody, paternity and child support for their youngest child Truly– were informed that a date has been set for a case management conference. In addition, Christine and her attorney filed an answer to the counterclaim, which Kody and his attorney filed earlier this month.

Christine and Kody will both be required to attend the case management conference, which has been set for December 18 in Utah. Luckily (for Kody, who is surely busy settling into his just-purchased Arizona mansion), the conference will be held virtually, and neither party will be required to attend in-person.

“That’s good, because we don’t like Kody to have to leave the tenders.”

The Ashley can also reveal that the conference cannot legally be filmed for ‘Sister Wives.’ Kody, Christine and their attorneys were informed of this on Tuesday.

“Court proceedings, including electronic proceedings, may not be recorded, photographed or transmitted,” the court documents state. “Failure to comply with this prohibition may be treated as contempt of court, punishable by fine and time in jail.”

“I better be careful. Someone with my six pack abs and killer hair won’t survive in jail!”

As The Ashley previously reported, Christine, using her married name “Christine Woolley,” filed a “Petition for Declaration of Paternity, Child Custody, Parent Time, and Support” on September 16 against Kody.

In the petition, Christine demanded that Kody take a paternity test to show that Truly is his biological daughter. (As ‘Sister Wives’ fans will remember, Christine was Kody’s third wife. Since their marriage wasn’t legal and they weren’t open about being polygamists at the time, Kody’s name didn’t appear on any of the birth certificates for his and Christine’s six kids.)

It appears that the paternity test may be underway as well, as a fee was paid for something paternity-related on October 23, the same day that Kody filed his answer to Christine’s lawsuit.

Christine (and/or Kody) have taken steps to keep the public from knowing personal, family information (which could include income declarations and other private info). The information contained in Kody’s response/counterclaim has been marked “not public” and is not able to be viewed by anyone other than the courts, Kody and Christine and their legal counsel.

  1. I need a nap? I was asking you a back. I responded with direct and coherent sentences. I never said anything that was remotely aggressive or angry towards you.

  2. Don’t hate me for asking, but…. is Truly on the autism spectrum? I feel like she’s a bit off, (said with love), and nobody has ever addressed it. If she is, are they ashamed or embarrassed? She’s a sweet girl, but extremely immature for her age.

    1. Have you considered that maybe she has said she doesn’t want it addressed? Just because you ask something “with love” doesn’t mean that it isn’t inappropriate to speculate about a potential disability of a child. Asking about the adults is one thing, because they signed up for this, but the children did not.

      1. Did she say it? If so, no problem. I don’t really care, I just asked a damn question. Time for your nap….

    2. Gwendolyn has said that she is autistic. Since autism is thought to be genetic, sibling are more likely to have it. However, calling her ‘a bit off’ is inappropriate as she is a child. Remember this was filmed just a few months after Christine left Flagstaff. Now they are all looking at wedding venues with moms new man. Also, there is nothing wrong with being autistic, it’s a different brain type.

      1. I have four loved ones with autism & I support every one of them. I wasn’t judging, I was simply asking the SAME question so many others already have.

  3. So we will see this play out on TV in 2026? 2027? Maybe after Truly has turned 18 and Maddie has had her 5th baby? The time lapse on this show is absurd.

    1. Right?!? It’s weird that we are seeing the beginning of Christine and David’s relationship a year after their wedding special.
