Best friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are reuniting next month on the small screen for a three-part special that is sure to give fans of The Simple Life something to “sanasa” about.
Peacock announced this week that Paris & Nicole: The Encore will premiere December 12 on the streaming service, more than 20 years after viewers first watched the twosome make their reality TV on the FOX series, ‘The Simple Life.’
“Follow the dynamic duo as they try to produce a once-in-a-lifetime operatic performance based on their self-coined phrase, ‘sanasa,’” the synopsis for the upcoming special reads.
In the teaser for ‘Paris & Nicole: The Encore,’ fans get a glimpse of Paris and Nicole holding opera auditions in a theater. At one point during the audition, the pair interrupt one singer’s performance and instruct her to belt out “sanasa”– a phrase the two often said (and sang) on ‘The Simple Life.’
As The Ashley told you in May, it was announced that Paris and Nicole had signed on for a new reality series that was reportedly still very early in development. While ‘The Simple Life’– which aired from 2003 to 2007– was undoubtedly a huge success back in the day, it was reported that their new series would have both a different name and premise.
‘Paris & Nicole: The Encore’ premieres just months after Paris and Nicole reunited to film ‘The Encore’ at a Sonic Drive-In in Duarte, California, according to People.
The Sonic filming location was a nod a memorable episode of ‘The Simple Life,’ which followed Paris and Nicole as they “worked” at the fast-food restaurant.
‘Paris & Nicole: The Encore’ premieres December 12 on Peacock. Watch the official teaser below.
