Katie Maloney may have moved on from ex-husband Tom Schwartz, but according to the claims of some of his alleged exes, the Vanderpump Rules star’s new boyfriend is far from an upgrade.
As The Ashley previously reported, Katie revealed on her Disrespectfully podcast last month that she was dating someone and “in love.” While Katie didn’t reveal the identity of the new man in her life during the podcast episode, it didn’t take fans long to figure out that she was in a relationship with Nick Martin, the guitarist from the band Sleeping With Sirens.
Nick, 41, is currently in the middle of an allegedly “heavy” divorce from his wife, Jenna Martin.
Not long after the news of Katie and Nick’s relationship went public, multiple women began speaking out about their personal experiences with the musician, calling him a serial cheater, liar, manipulator and more.
One of the women who came forward was Bruna Unsworth, a 27-year-old from the United Kingdom who met Nick in March 2023 while his band was performing a concert. Bruna told The Sun that she took a photo with Nick after the show and Nick later messaged her on social media after seeing the tagged photo she had posted.
Bruna claims that from that point on, she and Nick “texted on a daily basis” and that she even traveled to the U.S. in October 2023 to attend one of his concerts and to spend a few nights with him. It was during this trip that Nick revealed to her that he was still married, though he claimed he was a “victim” in toxic marriage. Bruna says that when Nick traveled to the U.K. to see Bruna in December 2023, he told her he had ended his marriage, though she later found out he was lying.
In response, Bruna sent evidence (photos and screenshots) to Nick’s wife to let her know what her husband “had been up to for the past 10 months” and Jenna went on to reach out to Bruna via phone, during which Bruna was told that Nick had “never” once had a conversation with Jenna about divorce. (Jenna went on to file for divorce shortly after Bruna contacted her; however, the couple’s divorce has yet to be finalized.)
Bruna called her time with Nick a “traumatic experience,” and she’s encouraging Katie to get out before suffering the same fate.
“She seems like a strong, empowered woman,” Bruna told the outlet. “I’m sure she’ll know what to do, she just needs to trust her gut. I’m a girl’s girl and I’ve warned someone previously about him because I felt that was the right thing to do. Even if she doesn’t see it now, time will show his true colors but I really hope she listens to the warnings about him at this early stage, to save her from the heartache and damage in the future. It’s just not worth it.”
Danielle Angie, a longtime friend and former roommate of Nick’s who began a relationship with the musician in July, also spoke to the outlet after finding out that Nick was cheating on her with Katie. According to Danielle, Nick always referred to Katie as “a friend,” though she eventually found out the two were dating. When she confronted Nick on the issue, she claims the musician “ghosted” her.
There was also a woman named Brandy Robidoux who posted a lengthy statement to Instagram last month calling out Nick’s “narcissistic behavior,” after allegedly dating the musician from March to August of this year. In her post, Brandy claimed that Nick lied to her about being divorced, cheated on her and frequently bashed women– specifically “those he’s been romantically involved with.” Brandy also alleged that during those seven months, Nick and his attorney asked her to stay quiet about the relationship and “threatened” her to not post photos of her and Nick to social media in an effort to “preserve his image.”
In addition to sharing the photos she was previously threatened over, Brandy issued an apology to the women who reached out to her over the course of her and Nick’s relationship to warn her about Nick’s behavior. She also apologized to Nick’s wife.
“ … I was lied to about the timeline of your divorce and I would have NEVER agreed to start a relationship before you filed,” Brandy wrote. “I am sick to my stomach looking back at the lies I was fed.”
Brandy accused Nick of “collecting women” instead of honoring them, adding that she hoped sharing her experience would “protect future women from this treatment.” Her post was met by many supportive comments, as well as a few from women who claimed to have had similar experiences with the musician– including one woman who allegedly dated Nick more than a decade ago.
“ … I didn’t really think much about it until recently when I revisited the whole experience with a friend and realized how s**tty it was,” the woman wrote.
“We’ve all been victims of his manipulation!” Bruna commented on Brandy’s post. “I hope more people can see him for what he really is because he thinks he can get away with it just by being a guy in a band. Thank you for speaking your truth!”
While Katie appears to be standing by her man, the recent influx of allegations against Nick have led some Sleeping With Sirens fans to take to the band’s social media page, demanding that Nick “address everything going on.”
“Please speak up Nick we feel so disappointed,” one fan commented, with another tagging Katie and advising her to “GET OUT.”
“Please talk about what’s going on,” another wrote.
Katie has yet to comment on the latest allegations against her boyfriend; however, she reportedly unfollowed Nick’s ex Brandy– who works in the music industry– on social media shortly after Brandy posted the statement calling out Nick’s behavior.
