On this week’s episode of Sister Wives, viewers will watch as Kody Brown hits a new low while discussing the ongoing dispute over the Brown family’s Coyote Pass property.
In Us Weekly’s exclusive clip from Sunday’s episode, Kody addresses ex-wife Janelle Brown’s concerns regarding the division of Coyote Pass, as well as the money that is still owed on the property. In the clip, Kody claims that Janelle “doesn’t trust” him, before going on to prove exactly why she shouldn’t.
“She doesn’t trust me because she would screw me if she could. That’s what I believe,” Kody says. “I’ll be honest, I’ve thought about screwing her.
“OK, so I’m being honest, but I won’t,” he continues, noting that his only remaining wife, Robyn Brown, is the only thing keeping him from doing Janelle dirty in the property dispute. “My wife with a conscience won’t let me.”
As fans of ‘Sister Wives’ know, the 14-acre Flagstaff, Arizona, property was purchased by Kody and his then-four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn, in 2018 for more than $800,000. The family initially planned to split the land into five parcels, where each wife would get her own plot to build a house and Kody would (of course) get his own, too.
Despite countless discussions over plans, parcels and Kody’s nixed proposal for a Polygamous Barbie Dream House, construction on Coyote Pass never came to fruition. Additionally, ownership of the divided property shifted in recent years after Christine split from Kody in 2021 and essentially handed over her portion of the property to Kody and Robyn in exchange for the value of her Flagstaff home, which allowed her to purchase a home in Utah.
Meri noted last season on ‘Sister Wives’ that, after Kody and Robyn took on Christine’s property, the pair were left holding eight shares of Coyote Pass, meanwhile, Janelle was left with four and she was left with just two. While Meri argued that she was entitled to more due to the financial contribution she made towards the purchase of the property, Kody claimed that the decision was influenced by “things that have gone on in the family.”
Janelle also questioned the division of Coyote Pass in Season 18 and fans have seen her continue to broach the Coyote Pass dispute in the current season to both Kody and Meri, reminding both that if the family is unable to pay off what is still owed on the property, they may lose it.
“Even though Meri and I really don’t have a real relationship, my conscience really, really dictated that I went and spoke with her about the property,” Janelle says in the clip from this week’s episode. “It wasn’t to create drama. It was just to make sure she was aware and could be educated going into the situation.”
In the upcoming episode, Meri sits down with Kody and Robyn to discuss the questionable division of Coyote Pass, explaining to viewers that she legally owns just 1/3 of one of the four parcels.
“I don’t understand why the property got divided the way that it did,” Meri continues. “I was not involved in that process. I was just told about it after the fact.”
When asked about the property division, Robyn tells viewers the designation was “just temporary until we paid it off,” adding that Kody was the one who made the call.
“He was just like, ‘I just had to make a decision really quickly,’” Robyn claims.
Meri goes on to point out that Kody is on “every single property” and Robyn is on two, meaning that the legally married couple “own the monopoly.” Still, Meri remains hopeful that her ex-husband and former sister wife will “be fair” when making decisions regarding the family’s seemingly cursed property.
“I hope that they will be fair, and I hope that they will be honest, and I hope that it doesn’t get ugly,” she says.
As The Ashley previously told you, Kody and Robyn sold their Flagstaff Mountain Mansion earlier this month for nearly $1.8 million, five years after the Brown family purchased the residence for $890,000. While the home was bought under Kody and Robyn’s names, Kody’s ex-wives reportedly contributed financially to the purchase.
Shortly before unloading their home, Kody and Robyn purchased a much larger residence in Flagstaff for $2.1 million.

Sure, Jan. Leave it to TLC to try and redeem Sobbyn’s rep as the witch that she is. Jackass Kootie wants everything for his “shy, pretty wife.” 🤮🤮🤮
I wouldn’t trust those two, ever. Liars and snakes.
The audacity of this man is astounding. I will say this though out of all of his ex wives Jenelle is savvy enough to fight back if Kody decides to be Kody and screw her over.
Meri is still thinking that they have her best interest at heart despite them showing her otherwise. They have shown her their true character over and over and she still wants to cross her fingers and hope for the best.
I’m tired of Kody acting like Robyn is a saint and won’t “let him” be an asshole. Obviously he is an asshole so whatever she supposedly is doing to stop that isn’t working. Robyn is manipulative. Robyn will say whatever she needs to in order to get her way. Coyote Pass was never going to happen. I don’t know why Kody and Robyn have purchased two VERY expensive homes but act like they have no money to pay off the land. Or why they have kept this Coyote Pass dream going for years now.
No he eventually remembered Jenelle would have handed his ass right back to him.
