Anna Duggar Update: Reportedly Breeding Dogs While Husband Josh Serves 12-Year Prison Sentence; Mother of 7 Still Living in Warehouse on Duggar Property

“If there’s one thing I know, it’s breeding!”

Anna Duggar, wife of disgraced former 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar, is reportedly earning money as a dog breeder and still living in a warehouse on her in-law’s property while awaiting her husband’s 2032 release from prison, The Sun reports.

As you may remember, Josh was sentenced to 151 months in Federal Prison after being convicted in December 2021 of receiving child sex abuse materials (CSAM).

Following her husband’s conviction and subsequent imprisonment, Anna has remained devoted to Josh, making frequent visits to her slammer-dwelling spouse, despite the nearly six-hour drive from her home in Arkansas to the Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) Seaogville in Texas where Josh is serving his sentence.

While awaiting Josh’s release, Anna– who shares seven children with Josh, ranging in age from three to 15 years old– has reportedly turned to breeding golden retrievers in order to provide for her large family in her husband’s absence, according to The Sun.

It is truly Anna’s lot in life to be surrounded by dogs…after all, she DID marry one.

The outlet reports that Anna filed a business license in May for Golden Grove Pups, LLC., which has a social media presence dating back to June.

While it was revealed in October 2022 that Anna was considering relocating from Arkansas to Texas with her children in order to be closer to Josh, she and her kids continue to reside in a “windowless warehouse” on her in-laws Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s compound. (This is also where Anna and Josh were living prior to Josh’s April 2021 arrest.)

Like many in the Duggar family, Anna continues to homeschool her seven children; however, her three sons reportedly partake in local sports within the community.

“Our daughters aren’t allowed to play sports, but they’re free to do all the cooking, cleaning and sewing they want!”

“Anna has been seen bringing her sons to basketball games weekly and watching them play from the stands,” a source told The Sun. “She socializes with people and appears to have made friends with basketball parents.”

Despite remaining in Arkansas, Anna continues to travel to Texas with her children to visit Josh behind bars “fairly regularly,” with the prison reportedly supplying activities like “board games and blocks” to keep children busy during visits.

Josh and Anna with six of their seven kids…

In December 2023, it was revealed that Josh planned to petition the United States Supreme Court to review his criminal conviction, after having appealed the case at every level of court to no avail. The Supreme Court went on to shut down Josh’s attempt to overturn his prison sentence in June by declining to hear the former TLC star’s appeal without comment.

In court documents filed in December 2023, Josh and his attorney, Justin Gelfand, claimed that Josh was not given a fair trial back in 2021, arguing that their alternative theories and evidence were not taken into consideration. Josh and his legal team have maintained that Josh’s former employee, Caleb Williams, had access to the incriminating computers found on Josh’s now-shuttered used car lot. (Caleb has denied the claims made against him.)

Had his petition been granted by the Supreme Court, Josh would’ve had the opportunity to, once again, fight for a mistrial. Instead, the father of seven remains imprisoned in Texas, where he is not scheduled to be released until October 2032.

  1. Her in-laws should be putting her up scott free. She’s raising SEVEN children alone, partially by the fault of enabling Boob and Meesh. For all the cash they made, Anna shouldn’t have to do anything extra.

  2. As someone who volunteers in animal rescue, this makes me sick. The local shelters and rescues are overflowing. All the rescues’ fosters are overflowing. There is nowhere to put abandoned, unwanted animals. So, by all means, lets start supporting backyard breeders who aren’t going to properly take care of the dogs to begin with. This past spring, in our area, people kept finding “golden doodles” on the side of the road, sometimes several at a time, of all ages. It was suspected that a backyard breeder was dumping them all over the county because they weren’t able to sell them and it was getting too expensive to care for them (if they were being cared for at all based on their condition). I am quite certain that Anna has no actual training in animal husbandry. Those poor dogs.

    1. Pretty much what I said, I myself foster dogs, and some of them come to me scared and traumatised, it breaks my heart, by the time a loving forever home is found, these little treasures are full of love mischief and trust, I always cry when saying goodbye, the only way I get through that is knowing I’m available to help another fur baby in need

    2. I’m concerned about how many she must be breeding (and the conditions they’re kept in) if the profits are her sole source of income. My cousin and I used to breed bloodhounds to donate to law enforcement/search and rescue. We’d sell some to recoup money spent on vet bills, feed, etc., and never turned a real profit. We had one breeding pair (my male and her female) and they were family pets, so our whole thing was mostly about continuing my male’s good bloodline and it was just hobby, but still a ton of work when there was a litter. Actually doing that as a livelihood would have taken a lot more dogs and a very expensive setup to have them live comfortably and avoid accidental inbreeding, plus a lot of time dedicated to care.

I’ve seen some of the setups people have when they’re all about money and it’s sad. The dogs basically live their lives in kennels and breed every time they come into heat, which is horrible for the mothers and the puppies

    3. Who knows what genetic messes are being bred and passed on to people. A lot of expensive health problems can happen with these backyard breeders. I highly doubt if she did all the health testing that should be done. Probably giving vaccines from the feed store, which are worthless, if she is even bothering doing that.

This should be against the law.

  3. Using pets to make a living, fkn shame on her, many rescues are full to capacity, and this thick twohat is adding to the already overwhelming problem.

  4. It will NEVER make sense. Both were raised in Religious homes that had rules instead of emphasis on a personal relationship w/our Lord. Josh being the oldest either had a sexual trauma no one else knows-about ( maybe his subconscious hasn’t allowed him to open it yet) but psychologists all say child molestsrs/abuserz are mentally sick & they have no record of any being cured. I conclude that Anna being raised w/rules about pleasing your hubby & serving him w/humility is why she’s being devoted to him. But I fear her mind is sick too & she won’t allow herself to believe the truth .hHer kids must be so embarrassed if teenagers . I can!t imagine being In-laws & not laying down my life for those Grandchildren. Jim Bob was renovating condemned homes & renting them out then flipping them. He found his daughters nice family homes when they had their 1st few babies why not bd courteous to Anna in spite of the differences. Goodness! Tge social service ppl should put their foot down about living in a warehouse . Fire regulations state windows of a certain size plus entrances in a home must be present o pop root to anyone living in a dwelling. They’d all die if a fie broke out & I could see those kids wanting to play w/fire b/c of the anxiety they constantly live in. Alert social services & give these kids a life w/families who want to live & really care for them. Not like Josh’s family where they trained the older kids ( esp girls) to be little slaves. Ever wonder why ost married sooo young? They felt older than their high school age & they wanted to escape the anxiety of getting food, clothing & other needs. The Grandma helped a lot but died seeing so much. I worry about the beautiful dogs she’s claiming to breed as well. There’s no way they’re being properly cared for if she’s driving those kind of hrs to & from c etc ! Call Tina from ” Pitbulls & Parolees”. She’ll be real & cares about all animals, raised her kids w/her hubby in prison & an x. Who also wound up in prison too. I think the ” Villalobos” is still in Nea Orleans. They’re on YouTube ( U think) but reruns still play on ” Animal Planet ” network. I know she’d send someone to check out their situation & might hire & adopt the oldest kids like she did her Hawaiian twins.

  5. Isn’t taking accountability for what you’ve done, asking for forgiveness and trying to do better a major part of Christianity? He has done none of that and continues to try and blame someone else when there is literally no evidence to support his “alternate theories”. This is why no one in that family is taken seriously anymore.

  6. Dog breeding seems to be the new thing to do in fundie circles. I know a few people who are still in the cult that do dog breeding since their chosen MLMs didn’t take off. I didn’t realize their oldest is 15 already. There’s a good chance he could actually miss her wedding if she gets married on the fundie timeline. The kids seem to be doing fine without him though.

  7. She will never leave him. Whether it’s her brainwashed cult upbringing, where her father told her that criminals like Josh just need Jesus and they will magically be a whole new person, or the brainwashing that Josh did to Anna while married.

She has decided that even though the evidence is pretty overwhelming and it’s not the first time this has happened to Josh, she will not see the truth. She will not leave. She’s living in a warehouse with no windows, no insulation or walls, begging her in-laws for good will to raise her children. (I don’t want to even start on the fact that money that paid for that property and warehouse, was stolen from the kids in that family.)

I am just thankful that once he gets out, he will not be allowed near a minor child, even if it’s his own children. So while Anna refuses to protect them, at least the government is making sure his kids are not allow near him.

    1. *** And thank god, Anna will have gone through menopause by then, so he will not be able to have more children with her.

    2. Former fundie here (raised IFB):
Fundies like this RARELY separate and divorce is almost unheard of. Even remarriage after the death of a spouse is taboo. They’re taught that marriage is ONE man and ONE woman together for life. So the idea of having multiple partners or marriages isn’t even really considered. Anna won’t leave because she was taught to never leave, no matter what.
Fundie churches are notorious for refusing to address any kind of abuse. Even if you’re being beat within an inch of your life, you don’t leave because that’s not gods plan. I told adults at my church about the abuse at home when I was a kid and nothing was done because “god has a plan for everything” and “his ways are bigger than our own”. It’s sickening how many people fall through the cracks because of teachings like this.
The kids are genuinely better off with him behind bars and in an ideal world, Anna would’ve left already. She’s in the safest position possible and has family ready and willing to support her and the kids. But in her world, she’s meant to live her life with him, come hell or high water, and the way it’s romanticized and seen as a virtue to wait for his release without leaving will be seen as a sacrifice for her marriage.

      1. Thank god you got out. I’m so sorry that all happened to you.

Yeah, those extremist people, never think will maybe god directed this child to me, for me to help them. (it’s like the Parable of the drowning man/ the story two boats, and helicopter).

Yeah, she’s probably believes and is being told that this is all part of god’s plan, and he’s testing her. That she will get a big reward once this is all over to prove her devotion, or all that crap.

      2. Too bad the pedo didn’t take the “no multiple partners” thing seriously when he cheated on Anna with prostitutes. She’s nothing but a breeder and doormat to that bastard. It’s really sad that women aren’t taught self worth in that cult.

  8. In laws property paid for by child exploitation among the kids. JB will have to answer to God for the theft he inflicted on his family 50 years from now.

  9. I like the booger picker in the middle picture. Even he’s bored with this garbage of living in a windowless storage shed.

  10. Didn’t her brother offer to house her and the kids if she divorced Josh? She had an opportunity for a fresh start for them all and she refused to take it. It makes me sick to think of the things he probably did to their daughters and I pray her never gets out of prison.

  11. This man was found to have the most horrible sickening video of a baby being sexually abused, a baby. This is the man she’s supporting, this is the man she’s allowing around those children who in no way should be allowed near a man convicted of having csab material father or not. And don’t even get me started on only the boys being involved in sports what an absolute trash disgraceful excuse for a mother. Absolutely everyone with a conscience should be shunning tf out of her and those children need saving from that family. Living in a windowless warehouse, sounds exactly like the the prison it is.
