David Eason’s latest legal run in has earned him a new piece of jewelry in the form of an ankle monitor, according to In Touch Weekly.
As The Ashley exclusively revealed earlier this week, the estranged husband of Jenelle Evans appeared in a North Carolina courtroom on Tuesday to answer for criminal charges filed against him in November stemming from his attempt to heist motorbikes and other items from Jenelle’s home on The Land in October. (David’s thwarted thieving attempt resulted in the fired Teen Mom 2 dad being arrested and charged with two misdemeanors: trespassing and violating the protective order that Janelle has had against him since May.)
David and Jenelle were both required to appear at Tuesday’s court hearing. Unfortunately for Jenelle (who flew across country to be at the hearing), the case was ultimately continued at the request of David, who asked the court for a continuance to allow him to obtain a public defender.
While David’s request was granted, a source told In Touch that “the judge was so mad” at the father of three that he ended up ordering David to “stay behind” and “ordered an ankle monitor so [David] can be on GPS.”
The judge reportedly made the decision so that Jenelle will know if David is within three miles of her North Carolina property, or within three miles of Jenelle herself.
Predictably, Jenelle was pleased that her employment-challenged ex was ordered to wear the tracking monitor.
“I’m happy the judge did what was right to keep my family and I safe,” Jenelle told the outlet.
As The Ashley previously reported, Jenelle begged a judge at a court hearing on November 21 to extend the protective order she had taken out against David.
“There’s a protective order right now and I don’t feel safe, my kids don’t feel safe, and [David] just keeps violating it,” Jenelle told the judge in audio obtained by The Ashley.
David— who was a ‘no-show’ to the hearing— has been legally barred from going near Jenelle, her three kids and their property on The Land since Jenelle took out her first domestic violence protective order on him on May 16. Jenelle listed David’s attempt to heist motorbikes and other expensive items from The Land back in October as one of the reasons she needed her protective order against him renewed.
“David Eason went to my property and broke into, broke my gate, broke into my building and tried to take a bunch of four-wheelers and dirt bikes,” Jenelle can be heard telling the judge in audio of the court hearing.

“[Jenelle] is in continued fear of [David] because [David] has entered [Jenelle’s] property when ordered to stay away from the same, specifically her home [on The Land],” Jenelle’s court documents read. “While on the property, [David] removed [Jenelle’s] surveillance cameras, causing [Jenelle] even further concern.”
Jenelle’s former swampmate has additional court cases open at the moment, including a criminal case for child abuse and assault by strangulation for his alleged acts against Jenelle’s teenage son Jace.
David is due back in court January 28.

I am actually surprised she got a RO against him granted. Even with physical injuries here in North Carolina it is hard to get one granted without witnesses. Jenelle got one because of “harassment” from Eason “talking about her on social media” and texting her but she has made all kinds of allegations against Eason and slandered him on social media? I hope their custody comes up soon and both are required to attend parenting classes as well as have mandatory drug/alcohol testing and therapy for the kids as well as Jenelle. Those poor kids…
Here we go with another leach. David is the worst kind though. He not only doesn’t pay anything in terms of bills, and thinks Jenelle should pay his bills, but he’s also violent! There is no reason why this jerk can’t get a job. Good for Jenelle for getting away for him and chosing Jace over David. I’m NOT a Jenelle fan AT ALL. In fact I really don’t like her at all and I mute her on TMOG because she lies so much.
Thats really funny….guess his girlfriend is gonna have to pay his monthly cost associated with the new ankle bracelet. Also…it literally occurred to me today that Jenelle is exactly the same as Casey Anthony…
He’s got to pay $300 – 500.00 a month for that monitor.
I know he “makes so much money” “has so many clients” and “everyone goes to him for everything, to the point he couldn’t take on MORE work!!” (sure, Jan.)
Uh… but, it’s looking like he needs to find something a little more legit, that doesn’t pay him his monopoly currency…but real US tender, and fast. The federal and state didn’t find him to be legally disabled and unable to work… so the “I CAN’T get a job, I’ve worked so hard that I’m disabled, my successful business of barnacle removal was just too much” shpeal won’t work if he decides to pull that one out of his bag of tricks again.

But she hasn’t submitted anything regarding him contacting her, threatening her, flying to Vegas to find her, nor has she filed assault charges, correct?
So why does she need a restraining order from him?
Her kids, yeah, he’s a child abuser for sure.
But is this protection order based SOLELY on him going to property that he also owns?
Seems like a huge waste of courts time.
February is right around the corner for the divorce.
David is a piece of crap, pretty sure everybody agrees on that, but so is Jenelle. Just because she has more money selling her butthole on OF, doesn’t give her a free pass on anything. I’m confused on things. I get and understand the RO order. She constantly is saying “MY” House in NC. I looked it up, David’s name is on the deed, it doesn’t matter if she paid or not, HIS NAME is listed as a owner. Anything else they have, the motorcycles, atv’s, etc…If his name is on the title, wouldn’t he get or be entitled to half?? David is clearly digging his own grave here, but Jenelle shouldn’t get off so easy either and have everything go her way. OHHHHH….How funny she can fly so much now! Flying back n forth to NC from Vegas, flying to TN??? Strange, those aren’t super short flights, not hearing anything about her sickness now, are we?
A RO will cancel out his name on the house, he won’t be allowed there until the RO is lifted. That’s what I was told when the police walked me thru the RO against my LH after he tried to strangle me.
But Jenelle, he was such a good husband and father! You said so a million times! (You are both pieces of shit, if you’re reading this-you don’t deserve those kids, and you can royally fuck off!)

Gee, it’s great for her that she can cry and ask for protection when he tries to take stuff from the land. If only she had used that act to protect her kids instead of some dirt bikes. I hope David gets atleast half of everything when it comes down to it.
