From getting told to stay away by a baby daddy to getting a judge to make your court case private, it’s been a busy week for the stars/former stars of the Teen Mom franchise! In an effort to bring you up-to-date on the latest Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 news, The Ashley brings you the Teen Mom News Pile.
Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last week or so…
Amber Portwood Says Gary Shirley Told Her She’s Not Allowed to Spend Time with Their Daughter Leah
Amber has been logging onto TikTok Live several times a day for weeks— after taking a long break from social media— and during one of her many (many) TikTok Live sessions, the ‘Teen Mom’ star revealed the sad state of her relationship with her daughter Leah (as well as her baby daddy Gary).
As ‘Teen Mom’ fans know, Amber and Gary share 16-year-old daughter Leah; however, over the last few years Amber’s relationship with Leah has been strained, although Gary has worked hard to encourage mother and daughter to repair their relationship. Last month, however, it was reported that Gary and Amber’s once solid co-parenting relationship had recently soured.
“For a long time, they had a great relationship and considered each other to be extended family. But now, it’s getting rocky again,” a source told Us Weekly, before revealing that the strain is reportedly due, in part, to Gary accusing Amber of not paying him child support for Leah “for years.”
Gary is reportedly considering taking Amber to court to get back payment of the support she allegedly owes. (Amber denied that there was any truth to this, stating she has “receipts” that she has paid her child support.)
Still, when Amber was asked earlier this week during a TikTok Live if she sees Leah, she revealed that she is not being permitted to do so.
“Here’s a secret guys, not only have I tried to see my daughter but I was told by her father that I was not allowed to come get her,” Amber said, before adding that, since she’s filming for the upcoming season of ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’, viewers will get to see how things play out by watching the show. She also promised that some surprising truths would be revealed.
“I can’t say anything else,” Amber said. “I can’t say anything else right now. Even though it’s not out yet…when you watch the show coming out and you guys will be able to see some things you probably never knew.”
On the same Live, Amber was asked by a fan about the child support she allegedly owes Gary.
“That’s not true. I pay mine, guys,” she replied.
As of press time, there doesn’t appear to be any open court cases regarding child support between Gary and Amber.
Jenelle Evans Wants the Judge to Seal Her Divorce Court Case
Jenelle’s in the middle of several court cases, but the former ‘Teen Mom 2’ star is begging a judge to close her divorce court case to the public.
The Ashley has been keeping ‘Teen Mom’ fans informed on what’s going on with Jenelle’s court battle with her estranged former soulmate, David Eason. As The Ashley previously reported, Jenelle and David’s divorce court hearing last month was continued, with David vowing to “lawyer up” to fight against his ex. (The former King and Queen of The Land are also currently battling in criminal court, due to Jenelle pressing charges on David for trespassing and violating her restraining order back in October. They were in court last week for that case.)
The Ashley can now reveal that Jenelle’s attorney has filed a request with the court to have her divorce case sealed, meaning many of the documents will no longer be accessible to the general public.
The judge will decide whether or not the case should be sealed during their next hearing, which is scheduled for early January. (As of press time, David still hasn’t secured the lawyer that vowed to get.)
At the same hearing in January, the topics of custody, child support, court costs and equitable distribution of assets will be discussed. New to the topic list is “interim distribution,” which means Jenelle and David will attempt to divide some of their marital assets before their divorce is officially settled. (As The Ashley reported, Jenelle and David are not able to officially file for divorce until February. In North Carolina, a couple must be living apart for one full year before a divorce can be requested, and Jenelle left David in February.)
Catelynn Lowell’s Dad Marries His Filipino Fiancé, Months After Cate Was Ripped for Starting GoFundMe to Bring Her to USA
Catelynn has a new stepmom!
Cate’s rarely seen father David Lowell got hitched on Thursday, marrying a woman named Christine. Catelynn, her husband Tyler Baltierra and their three daughters attended the wedding, which took place in Florida.

Christine– who hails from The Philippines— had been in a long-distance relationship with David since around 2022. (He made his first Instagram post about flying to see her in The Philippines in December 2022, writing, “I’ve known many women in my life that I wouldn’t walk across the street for, and yet I’ll be flying to the other side of the world to spend time with this lovely lady.”)
The wedding took place about 11 months after Catelynn got slammed online when she set up a GoFundMe to raise money to bring Christine to America.
“My father has started the process of getting her to legally come to the United States so they can finally get married, be happy and be the family they want to be!” Catelynn wrote on the fundraiser’s page, later adding, “The process is hard and takes lots of money. It has been over a year since they have seen each other and we are hoping to raise money so they can be in each others’ arms again! If you see it in you to donate even a dollar we would absolutely be so grateful!”
Catelynn had been hoping to raise $7,000, but the fundraiser only ended up raising $645— $500 of which Catelynn donated herself. Not surprisingly, it did not go over well that Catelynn took to The Interwebs to ask her fans to help pay to bring her dad’s lover to the USA. Many fans accused Catelynn of being tacky and a grifter, while others called Catelynn’s request for money “shameful,” due to how much money she and Tyler bring in from their ‘Teen Mom’ gig.
Anyway, David posted several photos of him and his new bride, as well as a few with Catelynn’s kids. Now that her dad and Christine are married, Catelynn has gained a new stepbrother, as Christine has a 12-year-old son named Edmund.
It’s unknown if David and Christine’s wedding will be featured on ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.’
Kail Lowry reveals she’s getting yet another boob job at the end of this month
Another day, another ‘Teen Mom’ star preparing to go under the plastic surgeon’s knife!
Kail— who is no stranger to the operating table— revealed on Thursday’s episode of her Coffee Convos podcast that she is getting her breasts redone (again).
“I am getting a boob job at the end of the month,” Kail revealed. “I’m so excited. I did my pre-op call yesterday…sent my inspo pics. I’m ready to be a much smaller version of myself in 2025.”
Kail said she gave her plastic surgeon three different photo of Khloe Kardashian‘s boobs to show what kind of rack she’s hoping for.
“She’s 5’10 and I’m 5’8 and I think she probably has a similar build,” the former ‘Teen Mom 2’ star said. “I don’t know how [to get as] fit and thin as she is, outside of surgeries and probably the gym.”
As The Ashley reported back in May, Kail has been trying to get a doctor to do the ol’ nip-and-clip on her boobs for months. She revealed on her podcast that she had been informed by doctors that she could not undergo a breast augmentation until she lost weight.

“I wanna get a boob job, right? So I call around, I’m like making these consultations to get a boob job. You know what they told me? They told me I need to lose 40 pounds, ok?” Kail said. “So, 40 or 50 pounds– more like 50, but maybe I could get away with 40 pounds– before they can even operate on me. So that was extremely humbling.
“I’ve been wanting to do this breast reduction, implants, lift, whatever it is,” Kail said.
Kail explained that doctors told her that her body mass index (BMI) is “entirely too high to operate” but after doing the math, she determined that she would have to lose between 40 and 50 pounds to get her BMI where it needs to be, according to the doctors she spoke with.
Kail also added that when she lost enough weight to be cleared for surgery, she was considering getting more than just her boobs done.
“I don’t even know if I can get my double chin done,” she said. “Truthfully, I’d want to do that at the same time as my boob job because why would I pay for anesthesia twice?”
It is unknown if Kail still plans to have cosmetic work done on her chin.
As fans of ‘Teen Mom 2’ may recall, Kail has already undergone at least one breast augmentation, as well as a tummy tuck, a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and Lipo360. Shortly after she gave birth to twins Valley and Verse last year, Kail admitted on her Barely Famous podcast that she regrets letting Dr. Miami inflate her rear end with a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) back in 2016, and that wants to get the procedure reversed. She also stated that she regrets getting her first “Mommy Makeover” before she was done having kids.

Imagine televising your strained relationship with your child instead of working on it privately, and then wondering why your child wants nothing to do with you. Amber will just continue to blame Gary instead of practicing some introspection or taking any sort of accountability.
Good for Gary! It only took him 16 years to protect Leah from her trainwreck “mother”. She has said repeatedly over the last few seasons that she wants nothing to do with Amber and gave Gary valid reasons why. Gary continued to not listen to her and shove Amber down her throat. Maybe it was so he could continue to get that Teen Mom check but that doesn’t make it any better. Glad to see he is coming to his senses.
Amber is on a manic tik tok binge. She looks high AF, talking very high pitched, “You guuuuyssss…you guuuuyyyyssss {{insert weird ass laugh here}} Did you just see that gnat that hit my eye? You guuuuyyyyssss I love you😘”. Just bouncing from one subject to another.
Obviously, Gary is taking the hit for this one. He is honoring his daughter’s wishes. Can you blame her? Hey a new man comes along, you abandon me. But you’re single and wanna be in my life? No thank you
Sounds like Chinelle has stuff to hide, imo. The truth will come out right? But only in your narrative. David did nothing wrong, great husband, great dad. Now suddenly my narrative changes. The only victims are those kids.
I feel like Jenelle just wants to control the narrative and I hope it gets denied. I also don’t get why Amber is still here. She doesn’t actively mother any children.

She has absolutely no media options as far as jobs, no one wants her. This divorce could be the final nail in the coffin for any chance of any more comebacks and she can’t risk the truth (about her) coming out.
Spoiler. Jenelle has done an amazingly terrible job of hiding who she is the past 16 years. We already know.
It’s about time that Gary keeps Leah from Amber but we all know it’s Leah who doesn’t want anything to do with her biological mother. Amber knows that too but she’ll never admit she’s a POS person that should have never had kids

Gary is part of the problem. He keeps insisting that Leah has to have a relationship with Amber. Of course, Gary and his wife (who everyone loves) force the issue to keep the MTV money train rolling.

Leah is 16. Gary isn’t keeping her from Amber. Leah wants nothing to do with Amber. Janelle and Amber always act like there’s some big secret that will explain everything. The reality is that Amber is an absent parent and everyone is sick of her.
