New photos of Anna Duggar are circulating the Internet— and causing quite a commotion, due to the former reality star’s changed appearance and her choice of attire.
Anna— who is the wife of disgraced 19 Kids & Counting star Josh— was snapped by the paparazzi this week while attending an event in Arkansas. While Anna has stood by her locked-up lover, Josh, as he serves his 151-month prison sentence, she has not appeared publicly since Josh’s sentencing in May 2022.
In the new photos– posted by The Sun— Anna seems unaware that she’s being photographed as she walks out the door of some sort of community center. Wearing a baggy sweater and sporting shorter, natural-colored hair, Anna’s look has changed significantly since Josh’s sentencing, where she was sporting fresh blond highlights and a form-fitting dress, despite just having had a baby a few months before.

Even more shocking than Anna’s changed appearance was the fact that the mom of seven was sporting pants— specifically jeans. As Counting On fans are aware, Anna and the other Duggar girls only wore dresses and skirts up until a few years ago, when some of the adult Duggar girls began to ease up on the family’s ban on pants and began to wear jeans and other pants. Anna, however, had never really sported pants publicly, even after Josh was sent to prison.
Earlier this month, Duggar fans got a rare update on Anna’s current life as a single mom of seven. Mrs. Josh Duggar is reportedly earning money as a dog breeder and still living in a warehouse on her in-law’s property while awaiting her husband’s 2032 release from prison, The Sun reported.
While awaiting Josh’s release, Anna has reportedly turned to breeding golden retrievers in order to provide for her large family in her husband’s absence. Like many in the Duggar family, Anna continues to homeschool her seven children; however, her three sons reportedly partake in local sports within the community.
“Anna has been seen bringing her sons to basketball games weekly and watching them play from the stands,” a source told The Sun. “She socializes with people and appears to have made friends with basketball parents.”

Despite remaining in Arkansas, Anna continues to travel to Texas– where Josh is imprisoned– with her children “fairly regularly.”
Back in August 2023, Josh’s cousin Amy Duggar King and his aunt Deanna revealed that they had an in-person interaction with Anna that did not go well. (It’s not surprising, though, as Amy and Deanna have both been outspoken against Josh since his crimes for possessing and receiving Child Sex Abuse Materials, or CSAM, were exposed.)
Amy and Deanna stated that, while at a visitation for a friend who had recently passed away, they bumped into Anna.
“Oh my gosh, she looks so angry,” Deanna said of Anna. “Furious.”
“She looked so ticked at the word,” added Amy, stating that she was “startled” to randomly see Anna’s face after so many years.
“I said, ‘Anna’ and I kind of patted her back,” Amy said. “And she said, ‘Just give me space!’ … so I gave her space, you didn’t hug her and I walked away. So, you guys, she knows that I have been talking about her, and I have been trying to reach her. She obviously knows that I am putting this out there, like, ‘Anna, you don’t have to be alone in this. We’re here for you, we’re here to protect your children…but she made it clear tonight that she does not want our help. She does not care for our help, and she’s gonna do whatever Anna does.”

She looks pregnant. Her legs are still skinny. She probably had Josh sneak her some of his swimmers during one of her visits.

How sad and honestly, disgusting- that she continues to stand by him. Not only that, at her detriment (clearly). She looks terrible and miserable. Not to mention I am sorry but if I was with a man even without children, and he was convicted of possession on child pornography and the actual sexual assault, he’d be GONE. Now, with children? Oh man- It wouldn’t even be a question. I would NEVER put my children in that position. EVER! She disgusts me. She obviously is choosing him, over her own children. It’s foul! How fitting that she picks being a dog breeder when she is a breeder of children! It shows how truly out of touch she is to think that being a dog breeder is a decent occupation when there are millions of unwanted and abused dogs everywhere in this country. The last thing this world needs is dog breeders!! She should be ashamed and embarrassed for doing such a stupid and selfish thing. There are plenty of other occupations she could pursue other than the unpredictable job of breeding dogs that she has ZERO experience or education in!! I mean she’s in a cult that doesn’t believe in mental health, therapy, any tradition vices, she’s a single parent to seven children, doesn’t have a job, not access to money, Jana is now married, so no one to watch her kids, she probably just sits in her room at night, cries and eats.
If I was in a cult that told me it was my fault that my husband is a pervert, and that if I “abandon” him at this “weakest” point, then I would be a sinner, and it would be my fault he didn’t get better. Oh and I did wnat to leave, my in-laws who have been housing me for the last several years would stop, and I with no education, would have to figure out how to feed seven children, find a place to live, and find childcare to work. 2032 is the correct year for the sentence given (though truth be told he should NEVER be released).
Please explain why you think a child molester should’ve already been released from his rather light sentence? To be honest, I’m surprised he hasn’t been beat within an inch of his life by now. If you really think he should be walking free at any point in time, you need to delete your comment and do some soul searching on why it is that you support child abuse.
Anna is clearly miserable. It’s not too late to break away while that monster is still in prison, girl! Go to family, go to a shelter, go to anywhere but his parents’ compound. Put the kids in school, file for divorce, get a normal job, keep them safe, build a semi-normal life. Absolutely no respect for her until she does so.
