‘Alaskan Bush People’ Star Noah Brown Requests Restraining Order Against Sister Rain; Accuses Her of Abusing Drugs, Threatening to Kill Him & More

There’s bad blood between these two Brown siblings.

All is not well in the Bush.

A restraining order request filed by Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown and his wife Rhain against Noah’s younger sister Merry Christmas Kathryn Raindrop, aka Rain, has been denied by a Washington court, according to The Sun.

The outlet reports that, back in August, Noah and Rhain filed the petition against Rain, requesting “protection from someone who has committed unlawful harassment.”

The couple accused Rain of “stalking” them, noting in the petition that there was a “threat of violence including malicious and intentional threat or presence of firearm/weapon causing substantial emotional distress.”

In Noah’s Declaration of Support of Motion for Exparte Restraining Order, the 32-year-old accused his younger sister of “using cocaine and meth and consuming alcohol,” claiming Rain even offered the former to their mother, Ami Brown, in December 2023 in response to Ami claiming that she was experiencing a migraine at the time.

Noah also cited an incident in July 2022 when he says Rain allegedly threatened his life while filming the family’s Discovery Channel reality show.

“We were in the elevator and [Rain] said something along the lines of ‘my life would be so much easier if you were dead, if only I wouldn’t get caught, I think that my gun is in my room,'” Noah wrote.

Noah listed another incident in May 2023 when Rain allegedly made a similar threat towards him. According to Noah, a horse that he, Rain and their sister Snowbird were helping load a horse into a trailer when it fell.

“When I was telling them what we needed to do to help the horse stand, [Rain] said, ‘Just stop!! We don’t need your help. I would rather the horse die than listen to you! I will kill it myself! Now go wait in your truck or I will get my gun right now!’ I waited at my truck the rest of the time, I found out the next day that the horse died,” Noah wrote.

Noah went on to claim in the filing that this “unlawful harassment” began in August 2016 after his wife was introduced to the family. He noted multiple examples of this treatment in the filing, including disparaging comments Rain made about him and/or his family on TikTok in 2023 and in early 2024.

In addition to requesting that the 22-year-old give up her firearms– which reportedly include two handguns, two semi-automatic rifles and two shotguns– Noah and Rhain asked that Rain be restrained from obtaining more weapons.

Noah and Rhain, who have been married since 2018 and share sons Elijah and Adam, also asked that their children be protected from Noah’s sister. The couple requested that the court require Rain to stay at least 1,000 feet away from them, as well as their home, vehicles and their children’s school. Their petition also asked that Rain “not cause any physical harm, bodily injury, assault,” and make no attempts to contact the pair, including indirectly or through third parties.

Despite Noah and Rhain’s concerns, the couple’s temporary order was denied by a Washington court without a hearing on the grounds of “no basis.”

It appears that Noah didn’t submit the declaration he stated he would.

“The petition lacks sufficient information and is unsupported by a properly [submitted] declaration,” the court’s explanation states. “Petition is essentially blank with references to ‘see declaration of Noah Brown.’”

The court went on to note that the wrong name was listed in the order and that “allegations pertain to incidents that are too remote in time to warrant issuance of a TRO without notice to the respondent.”

According to the court documents, re-submitting the order “with declarations amended to correct the errors”– including the name of the declarant– “will produce the same result.”

Days after Noah and Rhain’s restraining order request was filed, Rain seemingly hinted at the discourse on social media, telling followers she didn’t “give a flying f**k” about what anyone thinks of her and hitting back at those accusing her of not acting like herself. After taking a break from the social media platform, Rain returned to Instagram in November with a new account and a post confirming that she and boyfriend Josiah Lorton had tied the knot at a ceremony that her siblings did not attend.

The Sun reports that neither Noah nor Rhain have re-filed their restraining order request against Rain.

  1. The odds of having a sister named Rain then marrying a Rhain… Also Merry Christmas Kathryn Raindrop and she goes by Rain and not Kathryn or even Merry?

  2. Ngl, kinda surprised it’s not the other sister Birdie, she always seemed to have a weird over attachment to Noah and hated his wife.

  3. I don’t know much about them but it sounds strange the way he described Rain threatening his life. Most people would say “I’m going to kill you”. Not “I think my gun is in my room” or “Go wait in the truck or I’ll get my gun now”. It just sounds odd to me.🤔

    1. I only watched a handful of episodes back when their show first started, but I remember them all having a weird way of talking, like dumb people that want to sound smart/interesting. The way I read it in my head would be her trying to make herself seem more sinister.
