  1. It takes a lot of strength to get rid of horrible worldviews that our parents fed us since we were born. Some people are willing to educate themselves and do the work and some not. It’s easier to just rely on that, especially when you need at least some common ground with your parents.
We shouldn’t expect any Duggar to do better.

  2. I’m not “scared” of anything. Did I ever say that people should treat anyone “badly.” I simply made an observation that women should have their own area. You think it’s fair that a person born female works their ass off in sports only to be beat by someone who has an advantage of being born male? Men are naturally stronger than women. Especially upper body strength. I don’t care if someone is trans, gay, pansexual, polygamist or anything else that is consensual. I am well aware that trans people aren’t perverts or sexual deviants. I am allowed to form my own opinions. Just like you are entitled to your opinion.

    1. Your assertion that a woman who works hard at her sport would be beat by a biological male is sexist. You’re suggesting that a biological female couldn’t beat a biological male in any sport. That is categorically false. Also, the amount of estrogen and testosterone are huge factors in someone being “masculine” or “feminine” and having advantages in sports it’s not just genetics.

      1. It is not sexist. It is a fact that men are naturally stronger than women by nature. Maybe you should look at the facts before calling things something they are not.

        1. It is sexist. Anyone who has ever played a sport, particularly women’s sports, knows it takes more than brute strength to win. Anyone who has actually looked into the facts would see that transwomen do not dominate all of the ciswomen they play against.

          1. You can keep your head in the sand all you want. Facts are facts. Men are stronger than women..period. It’s not about being “pc.” It’s about being fair and not letting biological men fight biological women.

      2. In 150 years, only three fillies have won the Kentucky Derby. That’s because colts run faster than fillies. And men are stronger than women. It’s biology.

  3. I’m disappointed in The Ashley for posting this opinion by an obviously progressive columnist. I go to The Ashley’s site to read her snarky take on reality Television, not to be preached at by a brain dead progressive. And why is Riley Gaines dubbed a “conservative columnist?” She’s an elite NCAA athlete who was robbed of her shot at a national championship.

    1. What’s disappointing is you calling someone “brain dead” just because they have differing opinions than you.
As grown adults we should be above that. Also I doubt The Ashley is going to hear and consider your input if you’re just calling cruel names rather than presenting a logical argument.

      1. After years of being lied to by the media and the government and anyone else with a platform, my skepticism has become cynicism. It’s a sad world we live in.

  4. I’m not seeing how this is wrong? I understand that trans people are usually victims of crime and they are not child predators for the most part. But why can’t women have their own bathrooms and sports? We’re told to use the term, “chest” feeding also. I think people are taking things a little too far. There’s being supportive and then there’s just too much.

    1. Hey there! Thanks for asking. News stories and headlines like this are harmful because they take a very small situation and make it seem much bigger and scarrier than it actually is. It makes people feel afraid and then they feel like it’s okay to treat others badly because the media’s manipulated their feelings. Transgender people make up 1.6% of the population. They are just normal people going about their everyday lives. If they are in a locker room, they have the same goal as everyone else, change and get out of there so they can get on to their next activity. No one’s in there to strip naked and assault/offend others. Same with transgender people in sports. There’s 15 transgender people in high school sports. That’s it, only 15 students. Seems like a pretty small number to get everyone all bent out of shape about. Let’s just let people be people and know we are just all doing the best we can.

      1. Lol at “everyone in the world always has the best of intentions at all times”.
        Gimme a break.

Bc yes, indeed, some men do have bad intentions.
We wouldn’t have men’s prisons if they didn’t.

        1. I highly doubt people are going through years of hormone replacement therapy and even having surgery so they can look like a woman and go into bathrooms. There are plenty of assaults happening outside of bathrooms but men that still look like men. As a mother of four daughters and as a CSA survivor myself, Im more worried about men. Actually, transgender people are FOUR times more likely to be assaulted. So maybe they should be more worried about non-trans people that we are of them

          1. I’m well aware of the dangers of other people. I was sexually abused by men and women. The point I’m making is that women should be able to play in sports with other women. Not people who were born male. Never once did I say trans people are a danger to anyone. People are taking what I said too far.

          2. @ YA MUM- I wasnt responding to you. I was responding to My name’s comment. That’s why my comments is more under their comment and not directly under yours. unless you are behind both accounts. But My Name was refering trans people in bathrooms as they were responding to H.B.’s comment.
