Another Bravo couple bites the dust!
Summer House star Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover of Southern Charm have called it quits after three years of dating and multiple appearances on each other’s respective Bravo series.
Paige broke the news on Monday’s episode of her Giggly Squad podcast, telling listeners that she and Craig “have decided to no longer be together.”
“It’s weird, obviously it’s weird,” Paige said. “It’s very weird. I wasn’t expecting this, obviously, when we first started dating … .”
Paige went on to say that she has “so much love and respect for Craig” and believes the two will remain friends, while insisting that “no one did anything” to cause the breakup.
“I think he is one of the best people I’ve ever met in my entire life,” she said of Craig. “I will remain the biggest fan of him and want the best for him, and he truly will get the best because he is the best. But with that said, I think it was just the right decision for both of us moving forward in our lives and the direction that our lives are going in … .”
Though she called the breakup “a very sad thing,” Paige said she believes the decision to part ways was “really mature” of both her and Craig, as it involved both of them “saying what we want and what we didn’t want.”
“And I think that’s, like, extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future,” she added.
Paige also credited Craig for helping her grow over the past three years, claiming she’s a “more mature” and “more confident” person than she was when they started dating.
While Paige didn’t reveal when exactly she and Craig decided to end their relationship, she revealed on her podcast that they both gave each other “time to deal with it” privately– and with friends and family, she said– before announcing it publicly.
Paige and Craig’s end-of-year breakup came as a surprise to many fans of the couple, especially after Craig revealed to People earlier this month that he and Paige were “playing the long game” and eventually planning to tie the knot.
“It would be easy to go for instant gratification, but the foundation that we’re building is so that we die together one day, not just make it fun,” he told the outlet. “We know we’re going to get married one day, and when it happens, it’ll be a lot of fun, but whenever that is, who knows?”
While Craig seemed confident just weeks ago that he and Paige would go the distance, he also stated that they weren’t in a hurry to walk down the aisle.
“Once you take yourself out of that pressure cooker and have some perspective and travel, life’s a little more simple,” he said. “There’s no reason to put pressure on it. I think people will have a lot more of our lives to watch because we’re taking out time than if we were to rush it.”
Craig even predicted that he and Paige would probably start a family of their own in a couple of years, while acknowledging the fact that their relationship was of the long-distance variety, with him living in Charleston, South Carolina, and Paige residing in New York City.
“The goal is when we do start to have kids, we’ll be able to stay home with them as much as possible,” he said. “We had to make the decision: do we go live a traditional life with someone that’s not each other and I find someone in Charleston or not?
“We decided finding your person is the hard part and then we’ll figure it out after,” he added.

Omg this is the most exciting news ever! Thank god he finally realized how much of a Bitch she is!!! 3 years to long Craig!
I’m halfway shocked. Craig seemed madly in love with Paige. They want different things. Craig wanted to marry Paige and have kids, he wanted them to at least be in the same state. Every time he brought up moving to the same state she would cry so he would drop it. Anytime he discussed marriage she wouldn’t look crazy about the idea but would reassure him that they were together. When he expressed that he wanted kids she would look panic stricken. I feel like Craig would jump through hoops to be with Paige. I don’t think she would do the same. However I will say that Paige is fiercely independent and she enjoys that freedom and there is nothing wrong with that.
