Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their home on Tuesday.
TMZ broke the news that the Pacific Palisades, California, home belonging to The Hills stars was destroyed in the wildfire that is currently burning in Los Angeles. Luckily, Spencer, Heidi and their kids evacuated safely before their home caught fire on Tuesday.
The picturesque three-bedroom home— which was estimated to have been worth more than $2.6 million— sat on the Chautauqua rim overlooking the Santa Monica mountains.
Earlier on Tuesday, Heidi seemed unconcerned about the wildfire, taking to Snapchat to show her Christmas decor being packed away. However, an hour later, she returned to Snapchat to ask her followers for prayers, stating that the wildfire was dangerously close to their home.
“OK, there is a fire right over the hill from our house, and I think we’re going to have to evacuate,” Heidi stated. “So please say some prayers for us…it’s going to be a mandatory evacuation and it’s right here, so if you guys could say some prayers for us. We’re up on a hill and it’s only a few miles away. We’ve never had a fire so close. So I’m going to pack.”

Spencer also began updating his Snapchat followers as the fire moved closer.
“Not looking so good…” he stated as he filmed the flames behind the house.
Heidi and Spencer and their kids went to Spencer’s parents’ home nearby, which they would later be evacuated from as well. (In paparazzi video seemingly shot at his parent’s home later, Spencer can be seen watching the flames as his family members talk about needing to leave that home, too.)
A few hours later, Heidi came back on Snapchat with a grim report.
“So our house is on fire,” she said as she walked through a grocery store. “We were able to get out but I keep going over and over in my mind things I should have gotten. But we’re out safe and that is the most important thing.”
“Update: I’m watching our house burn down on the security cameras,” Spencer said on his Snapchat.
Spencer’s sister Stephanie Pratt — who lives in London but owns a home in the area— gave fans an update on her family’s houses, and expressed sorrow for Spencer and Heidi and their kids.
“I am beyond heartbroken for my brother, Heidi and the kids,” she wrote. “And to all of our friends and neighbours who have lost their houses today. Just spoke to my dad — he tried to save my brother’s house but the wind is so strong there was nothing he could do. Even the fire station in the Palisades has burned down.”
Stephanie added that her parents evacuated their home and had been watching on their security cameras as the fire creeps closer to it. Her own home is also in the danger zone.
“Just heard the fire is on my street,” she wrote in another update.
