Former Challenge star Robin Hibbard has seemingly turned her life around following a years-long battle with drug addiction and trouble with the law.
According to The Sun, Robin returned to social media to report that she has been sober for nearly two years. The former MTV reality star is also working to regain custody of her children after she and husband Brian Coulter lost custody of them to her family in 2019. Court documents obtained by the outlet also show that Robin filed for divorce from Brian in November.
Robin’s social media states that she has been clean and sober since April 3, 2023– which happens to be around the same date that she last found herself behind bars.
Robyn wrote about her recovery in a Facebook comment posted in November.
“It’s been a long journey back to sanity and I’m loving recovery,” she wrote. “Mental health is real and taking care of that as well as my addictions has been a true blessing. I thought I was going to die and I’ve put the work in to truly get some recovery.”
As The Ashley told you in May 2023, Robin was serving time in jail after getting arrested outside her family’s home in early April for allegedly “harassing” a family member who had a restraining order against the former MTV star. (The family member had reportedly taken out the protective order against Robin in April 2022 after claiming that Robin had broken into the family home, destroyed things and was injecting herself with drugs while on the property.)
The 44-year-old–- who made her MTV debut on The Real World: San Diego and went on to compete on nine seasons of ‘The Challenge– was arrested at the time and charged with violation of a domestic violence injunction. She was released from jail in June 2023, per a court order.
While Robin has stayed out of trouble since her April 2023 arrest, she previously faced legal issues in August 2022 after being picked up for Resisting Arrest (without violence) and providing a false name to law enforcement. She was also arrested in the past for trespassing, possession of drugs without a prescription, and possession of heroin.
As The Ashley told you in 2022, Robin had been homeless and living near Tampa, Florida, for several years. In January of that year, her ex-boyfriend and fellow ‘Challenge’ competitor Mark Long opened up about Robin’s post-‘Challenge’ struggles during an appearance on Johnny Bananas’ podcast, confirming that his ex was battling an addiction to drugs at the time.
“I wanna say this because it’s sad, I’ve been getting a lot of messages about Robin and I wanted to speak on that a little bit,” Mark said. “She’s in a bad place; I think the addiction has really taken a hold of her in a terrible way. I know a lot of people have tried to reach out, including her parents and husband.”
Mark, who began dating Robin on 2004’s Battle of the Sexes II and later partnered with her on 2012’s Battle of the Exes, went on to tell listeners that he hoped “someone can get to [Robin] and convince her to get help.”
“I know deep down she probably wants it, but it breaks my heart knowing that she’s in such a bad place,” he added.
In addition to getting clean, Robin is now employed and working at a restaurant in Tampa, Florida.
According to The Sun, Robin’s husband Brian has not responded to her request for a divorce, so Robin has filed a motion for default, which will allow the judge to continue the case without Brian’s participation. The next court hearing for the case will be next month.
She is also actively working to get her kids back. According to The Sun, Robyn filed a completed certificate of parenting class last month with the courts.

From one addict/alcoholic (My DOC was Opiates) in recovery to another… CONGRATS Robin! One day at a time, babe! Man, she looks like, 60+ years old in her mugshot. Her recent picture she looks in her young 30’s and I read in another article she’s in her mid 40’s so what a win! The difference though between the mugshot pic and the recent one… That is CRAZY! Holy crap… She looks SO much better now and that makes me happy 🙂
So very happy for her!
Robin, I would ck at times to get an update and to my surprise I just read this article. I am so happy for you and proud of the job you’re doing to better yourself. This could be your biggest challenge yet, and I know you’re gonna win this. One day at a time honey. You are worth it! 🤍

I am so happy to see this story and now that Robin is doing so well! It was heartbreaking to see her having so many troubles in her life. Mental health and addiction issues are awful and it’s such a tough hole to get out of. Wishing Robin and her family/friends blessings and only good things ahead!
Mark and Robin were such a gorgeous couple imo. I wonder why it didn’t work out.
I’m glad she is getting better. She is such a sweetheart and it hurt me to see her that way. You are on the right track, Robin!
Congrats!
One day at a time!!
