From trying to get brand deals to trying to get your groove on despite a recent surgery, it’s been a busy week for the stars/former stars of the Teen Mom franchise! In an effort to bring you up-to-date on the latest Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 news, The Ashley brings you the Teen Mom News Pile.

Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last week or so…

Briana DeJesus Gets Her Tube Tied & Celebrates It By Throwing An Actual Party

Over the years, The Ashley has seen a lot of things and covered a lot of ridiculous ‘Teen Mom’ parties. This may take the cake, though (pun very much intended.)

Briana recently had a tubal ligation (i.e. “had her tubes tied”) to ensure that she would never again get knocked up from a sexual encounter in a club bathroom. The mom of two is currently recovering from the surgery and had her ‘Teen Mom’ co-star Jade fly down to Florida to assist her with her aftercare. (From what The Ashley hears, this was filmed for ‘Next Chapter.’)

Briana— who is no stranger to throwing herself over-the-top and frivolous parties — decided to celebrate the Oopsie Baby prevention plan by throwing an elaborate party. In photos posted to social media, Briana is shown cutting a cake that says, “F**k them new kids.”

She also had a backdrop made that proudly announced, “She tied her tubes.”

No, seriously. You can’t make this up, kids. 

Briana’s decision to have her tubes tied comes as a surprise, given that last year the ‘Teen Mom’ star said on Live that she’d like to have at least one more child, as long as she was married. However, she did state that it would be unlikely for her to conceive another “oopsie” baby without divine (or scientific) intervention.

“I would love to have one more kid, and I would love to be married before that happened,” Briana said last March. “But I have a lot of cysts in my ovaries and I have PCOS [Polycystic Ovary Syndrome] so it would be hard for me to get pregnant naturally. If I were to get pregnant, it would be by the grace of God or I’d have to get IVF.”

 

Kail Lowry Seemingly Tries to Get Promo Deals with Wawa Due to Her Infamous Wawa Meetups with Javi Marroquin

Kail has been known to get her, um, “pumping” on at Wawa gas stations, and now she seems to be trying to cash in on fans associating her with the brand.

As fans will likely remember, during a 2020 episode of ‘Teen Mom 2,’ Kail had a cringe-tastic on-camera outburst in which she told her producer, Patrick, that she was upset that her ex-husband Javi Marroquin had gone back on his offer to meet her halfway for pickups and drop-offs of their son, Lincoln. She then dropped a bomb, telling Producer Patrick that Javi was more than willing to meet her earlier that week to bone in the Wawa store parking lot.

“Is that why you tried to f**k me on Tuesday in the Wawa parking lot while your girlfriend’s home with your son?” Kail said as cameras rolled (and Producer Patrick looked like he was absolutely about to tinkle himself with excitement).

“He pulled into the Wawa parking lot while I was getting gas,” Kail said during the episode. “He was like ‘Hey, what’s up?’ And he opened [his car] door and was like, ‘I wanna f**k you, plain and simple.” 

Kail then proceeded to show Javi’s texts, which did, indeed, have plenty of hump talk. (After the episode aired, Kail apologized to Javi and his baby mama Lauren Comeau for exposing the WaWa humpage on-air.)

Now, however, Kail seems to be looking to capitalize on that cringy moment. She took to Instagram Stories on Monday to ask people who are involved in advertising some questions about getting a promo deal.

“Does your company look into who you’re paying for advertising and promotions…” she asked, before mentioning a few celebrities who are commonly associated with certain brands. 

“I’m very well-known for the correlation with Wawa, right?” Kail said. “But I don’t get paid to advertise them. But they’ll do Jersey Shore, they’ll do Alix Earle, things like that….I’m just curious to know.”

Kail inquired as to how companies choose the “celebrity” they run ads with, and whether it’s more important that the celebrity has a better association with the brand, or that they’re a better money-maker.

“I don’t know. I’m just wondering,” Kail said. 

 

Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra Are Finally Unloading Their Octagon House

The long saga of Catelynn and Tyler’s octagon-shaped abode may be coming to an end.

The Sun broke the news on Monday that the ‘Teen Mom’ couple’s Michigan home finally has a buyer, following more than a year of real estate drama. The house– which is over 150 years old and was restored by Ty and Cate— is listed as “contingent and under contract” as of January 10.

The house was purchased by Catelynn and Tyler for $220,000 in 2017 and was featured on ‘Teen Mom’ for years before Cate and Ty moved in early 2023 to a larger home. They listed the Octagon for sale in August 2023 but didn’t sell it after having it on the market for nearly a year and reducing the price. They removed the home from the market in August, only to relist it (at a further reduced price) in December. On January 10, the house went under contract.

Ty and Cate will receive $425,000 for the home if the sale goes through. They will also receive piece of mind after unloading the house, which has brought them plenty of headaches since they moved out of it.

Back in July, news broke that the octagon home was in pre-foreclosure, due to Cate and Ty not paying the property taxes on the house for the 2022 tax year. A Certificate of Forfeiture of Real Property was filed in March 2024, stating that Tyler and Cate would lose the property if they didn’t pay the taxes they owed on the home, which amounted to just over $5,000.

The couple did, indeed, pay the property taxes before the March 31, 2025 deadline, so the property is still in their possession. 

Catelynn and Tyler are currently accepting backup offers for the house, which boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a pool and 15 acres of land.

 

Nathan Griffith Continues to Deliver Cringy Online Love-Bombing to His 21-Year-Old Girlfriend; Proclaims Her to Be His “Twin Flame” 

Nathan is very, very, very in love— and he wants everyone to know it.

The former soulmate of Jenelle Evans continues to lay it on thick when it comes to talking about his new 21-year-old girlfriend online. In his latest post, Nathan— who is 37 years old, fresh out of rehab and basically in a non-existent relationship with his son Kaiser, by the way— bragged about how he and his new galpal spent two hours trying to take the perfect photo of themselves kissing in bed. (As one does…)

“The first picture is after we sat in bed, probably for almost two hours, in every position in the bed and I thought we could get a Kodak moment,” Nathan captioned the pic. “Well after a gazillion pictures we found the right ones we liked.”

Nathan went on to slather on the loving words in his Instagram caption.

“Who thought a 21-year-old woman was the exact person I needed in my life,” he wrote. “…noting that she is the only woman who has been able to make me feel like this when no ‘mature’ woman could.”

Nathan then brought the cringiness to new heights when he proclaimed his new girlfriend to be his “twin flame.” 

As The Ashley previously reported, Nathan has been taking to The Interwebs a lot lately to proclaim his love for his girlfriend. Just last week, Nathan went Live on Instagram to deliver a red-flag-filled monologue about how there should be “no privacy” in a relationship. He also claimed that, if a person allows their partner to follow people of the opposite gender on social media, they are setting them up to cheat.

“It’s not being obsessive or possessive, and to a certain extent it is, but why put your spouse in a position where they could cheat?” a rough-looking Nathan asked his followers. “Why, when you’re having a rough time, or anything and you feel distance, that you allow them to be in communication or contact where they could cheat? Do you not love them?”
