Cheyenne Floyd and her husband Zach Davis are using their MTV fame to help victims of the California wildfires and, while their loved ones, fans and community members have jumped in to help, the couple’s efforts sadly may not make it onto Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
After wildfires devastated parts of Southern California– including the city of Altadena, where Cheyenne is from— the Teen Mom stars launched an effort to collect supplies for those who have lost their homes or been affected by the disaster. After taking to social media to ask their followers for donations from an Amazon Wishlist Cheyenne created for the cause, Cheyenne and Zach quickly found their Porter Ranch, California, home turned into Ground Zero for a huge collection effort.
“We had five Amazon trucks come today…we went through and sorted over 400 boxes,” Cheyenne told her followers on Snapchat on Tuesday. “It sounds crazy even saying that. Every time an Amazon delivery person comes they’re like ‘What are you doing in there?’…”
In addition to collecting much-needed supplies like toiletries, school stuff and baby items, Cheyenne and Zach–along with their friends and family– have been working with places like the YMCA and assisted-living facilities to get the supplies to those in need. Fire victims were also welcomed into the couple’s home to “shop” for whatever supplies they need.
“I think we’re at 3,000 [Amazon] orders now…” Chey said on Snapchat. “I love being able to offer people anything they need and they can take it in bulk. It’s been such a blessing. We went through the boxes and made some pre-made packages: men’s packages, women’s packages, kids’ packages…I’m very grateful, I’m very thankful. I never thought this would turn into what it did.”
In photos shared on social media, the ‘Teen Mom’ stars can be seen at their house (which is about 30 miles from Altadena), surrounded by piles of Amazon boxes that are full of supplies that will go to people affected by the fires.
“I’m from Altadena. I was raised in Altadena. My church is in Altadena, our schools, my family home, all of my family members and friends from Altadena have lost their homes,” Cheyenne told KTLA on Tuesday. “We live in Porter Ranch, so it didn’t affect us as much as it affected the world around us, and just seeing firsthand how this was affecting people, it just laid heavy on my heart.”
On Tuesday, Cheyenne was asked by many of her Snapchat followers if MTV was documenting her efforts for ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.’
“I don’t want people to think I did it for attention. Honestly, it did not start as anything,” she said, adding that she was unsure she even wanted to do the interview with news station KTLA on Tuesday. “But it does help bring awareness to Altadena…so that is a good thing and I need to accept that it is a good thing to do.”
Cheyenne confirmed that she did ask her ‘Teen Mom’ producers to come film what they’ve been doing at her home, only to have the network decline, claiming it’s “unsafe” to film there, due to the air quality, something Cheyenne disputed.
“When I did ask them to [come film], because I would love to bring more awareness to [the devastation happening in] Altadena, they said the air quality in LA is too bad, so that’s that,” Cheyenne said on Snapchat, adding that the producers’ excuse makes no sense, given that the air quality reports for where she lives are reportedly coming back OK.
“I don’t live in LA,” Cheyenne said. “So, I’m not very receptive to that answer.”
Cheyenne stated that her ‘Teen Mom’ producers did tell her that she and Zach could film their efforts themselves and then submit the footage for possible inclusion on ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.’ However, Cheyenne said she’s hesitant to do that, for several reasons.
“I don’t think they get that I am barely able to snack throughout the day,” Cheyenne said. “I’m running in about 20 different directions…and pulling out my phone and shooting a horizontal video is not happening.”
She also brought up the point that it’s unlikely that the footage will actually be used on the show. (As ‘Teen Mom’ fans know, preference is usually given to the more-salacious storylines, rather than the “do-good” or happy ones.)
“They’re not going to use it, and I don’t want to waste my time self-shooting when I can be helping people or figuring out pickups and other donations, and waste that time for them not to use it,” Cheyenne said.
“If they want to come cover it, then they’re going to come here and cover it,” she added. “But I’m not going to take the time to self-shoot when I could be doing other things.”
For those who want to help victims of the California wildfires, you can go to the Amazon wishlist and order items that will be sorted and given to those in need.
“It’s sometimes just overwhelming watching everyone jumping into help….” Cheyenne said on Snapchat on Tuesday. “Overall it’s been great. Neighbors have jumped in to help, our friends, our family, you guys, everyone who has supported our Amazon Wishlist. It’s been crazy.”
In a recent interview with FOX Weather, Cheyenne gave a nod to all of their out-of-state donors.
“The incredible support from our out-of-state donors has been instrumental in making this possible,” she said.
Cheyenne and Zach have moved the pickup center from their home to a business in Sherman Oaks, California. Those who need supplies can pick up items at Star Suites, located at 15149 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks.

Not a fan of hers, but its so nice seeing her & her husband do this to help those who need it. I do think she has a good heart at all times. She’s just over the top most of the time & that it is a good thing when it comes to something like this. I bet she has it very organized. I’d much rather hear about this than Amber blaming Gary & Leah for all her problems.
yall are miserable af if yall seriously think she’s doing this for attention. i’m not even a cheyenne fan but even i know before teen mom she’s been volunteering at places and donating money/ supplies to organizations meanwhile all most of yall have done is nothing and just b!tch how every celebrity/ reality star doing anything good is only for attention, just be happy there’s people at least helping these poor families who got affected
It’s great to see Cheyenne and her husband making a difference in the World. They are using their celebrity statues to get donations for a worthy cause. The fires are burning and they need all the help they can.
If social media didn’t exist would their gesture?
No ways good enough for you Maci, damn.
