Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag’s former co-stars are stepping up to show their support for the couple who lost their home last week in the California wildfires.
As The Ashley previously told you, the home owned by The Hills stars is one of many that has been destroyed in the wildfires currently burning in Los Angeles. While Spencer and Heidi and their two sons were fortunately able to evacuate safely before their home caught fire last week, they later shared videos to social media of their residence ablaze, which had been captured on their home security cameras.
In the days following the couple’s devastating loss, Spencer began promoting Heidi’s music– specifically her 2010 album Superficial– on social media and encouraging fans to stream his wife’s pop tunes as a way to help them earn money to rebuild what was lost in the wildfire. Spencer’s tireless efforts on various social media platforms to promote Heidi’s music proved to be successful earlier this week as the former reality star’s 15-year-old album went to No. 1 on iTunes, according to Entertainment Tonight.

While multiple celebrities– reality TV and otherwise– have jumped on the trend by sharing videos of themselves dancing and/or singing along to Heidi’s hits, Spencer and Heidi have also received support from some of their former MTV co-stars.
Earlier this week, Spencer’s longtime friend Brody Jenner– who appeared alongside the couple on both ‘The Hills’ and the 2019 reboot, The Hills: New Beginnings– posted a TikTok of himself nodding along to Heidi’s song “I’ll Do It,” telling fans, “POV: This is the only song you are streaming rn.”

Kristin Cavallari of ‘The Hills’ and Whitney Port, who starred on both ‘The Hills’ and ‘The Hills: New Beginnings,’ took to social media to promote Heidi’s music as well, with Whitney proudly telling followers she was listening to Heidi’s music “alllllll day.”

Talan Torriero of Laguna Beach– the mid-2000s reality series that spawned ‘The Hills’– also took to TikTok to bust a move for Spencer and Heidi. Meanwhile, Audrina Patridge opted to keep her dance moves off of the interwebs, choosing to post a link to Heidi’s album and a heartfelt message to the couple instead.

“My heart goes out to Heidi and Spencer during this devastating time as they recover from losing their home in the fires,” she wrote. “Help support by downloading her album.”
Spencer and Heidi’s former castmate Lo Bosworth also took to TikTok this week to share her reaction to Heidi’s song being “at the top of the charts,” later encouraging her followers to “go stream Heidi’s song right now.”

Lo also told Heidi and Spencer that her company, Love Wellness, “would love to step in” and offer a partnership deal to help the couple “move forward.”
“ … we would love to give back to you guys and put some real money in your pockets,” she added, telling Spencer in the caption of her TikTok to check his DMs and emails, “[because] you’re hired.”
As The Ashley told you earlier this week, shortly after Spencer and Heidi shared that they had lost their home, a friend of the couple’s stepped up and launched a GoFundMe (with a fundraising goal of $100,000) to allow friends, family and fans to donate to “Help Spencer and Heidi Rebuild After Fire.”
As of Wednesday afternoon, Spencer and Heidi’s GoFundMe has raised more than $120,000 towards its (now) $150,000 fundraising goal. Spencer and Heidi posted an update to the online fundraising page earlier this week thanking those who have supported them amid their “darkest days.”
“ … Your generosity has been a light in our darkest days,” they wrote. “Whether you donated, purchased Pratt Daddy crystals, streamed and downloaded Heidi’s music, or simply sent your prayers and well-wishes, your actions have given us the strength to carry on as we begin this difficult process of rebuilding.
“We cannot express enough how much your love and support have meant to us,” the update continued. “Each contribution, no matter how big or small, has made a difference in our lives. The outpouring of community spirit has been nothing short of humbling, and we will forever be grateful.”
The couple went on to also thank first responders and firefighters for “working tirelessly to protect our community.”
“Their bravery and selflessness are inspiring, and we are so fortunate to have them on the front lines,” they added.
After receiving some criticism on social media last week for accepting donations, Spencer took to TikTok Live to address his financial situation, insisting that he and Heidi aren’t nearly as wealthy as some may believe. He also assured fans that he and Heidi wouldn’t be asking for or accepting help if they didn’t genuinely need it.
@itsgivingreality This is really sad! So many homes have burned, so many people’s lives have changed in a matter of hours! 🥺 #realitytv #palisadesfire #spencerpratt #fire #itsgivingreality
“ …. I promise you, if I was rich I would not be on TikTok Live asking for your gifts and Amazon Wish Lists and promoting GoFundMe, let’s be clear here,” he stated.

I do think it’s nice to see friends willing to support friends. That is where the positives end for me.
These two give me the absolute ick, as do any people who fall on the wealthier side of the scale (these guys are definitely more wealthy than they claim, btw) who have no qualms putting their hands out, despite not *truly* needing it. I fully understand they lost almost all of their tangibles in life, and how devastating it can be to watch so much of your life literally burn down in front of your eyes. The kind of gut punch that is, I just wouldn’t wish on anyone. That said….these two are still wealthy, they still have two steady incomes (and multiple, albeit it smaller scale, income streams between the two of them). They can, easily, afford to rebuild. I say easily only to state that, from a financial standpoint, it’s easily doable with their income and monetary assets. It will take time and money, but, it’s not at all unreasonable to say they can afford it.
They are not now, nor have they ever, lived paycheck to paycheck. They blew a big chunk of the $10mil+ they had at one time, years ago, but they still have plenty coming in. Unlike thousands upon thousands of others out there who also lost everything. Some of them lost actual people, family members, friends, many pets even. Far too many have lost their only source of income as well. But those people aren’t going to have anyone who will help them financially. Those people aren’t famous enough, don’t have enough friends, and dare I say, those people also won’t start berating people they know with threats of outing, targeting or harassing them if they don’t donate and give them money…..(Yeah, that part gives me the uber ick from this d-bag, and it’s exactly what he’s now doing).
I might feel a little different, at first, if it wasn’t them who first put their hand out and started shouting from the rooftops that they need money. If it was *just* their friends who said “hey, our friends need help, can you help?”, it might go over a little different. But that’s not how it went, they whined to friends to get the gofundme, and it’s not how it’s going now with his current antics. This d-bag is doubling down on his douchey deeds and now threatening people if they don’t help. What in the actual fuck?
Ick factor x 100
We’re donating to animals and actual families with real needs.
Do they not have insurance?
So Lo is trying to capitalise on their current popularity by advertising her business and offering a discount code with Spencer’s name. The others were respectful about it, and just supported Heidi and her music, didn’t try to get anything out of it. Especially after Spencer said he was blocking her business as he didn’t want to see that, Very tacky Lo!
People may have a lot to say about these two, but that’s just noise…in truth they’ve given me a lot of joy and laughter over the years (plenty of wtf moments too, but that’s people for ya). l admit I click quickly when I see a headline about them and always hope they’re doing well. It was gut-wrenching to see what happened to their home, and in the blink of an eye. One minute you’re putting away Christmas decorations, the next minute there’s a fire raging towards your house and then it’s wiped off the face of the earth just like that. You’re left with a few shirts and can never go back home. There are no words to express that kind of devastation. Seeing this response for Heidi and Spencer is truly touching and I’ll be happily streaming Heidi’s music today for sure. Nothing but love for you two.
