Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag’s former co-stars are stepping up to show their support for the couple who lost their home last week in the California wildfires.
As The Ashley previously told you, the home owned by The Hills stars is one of many that has been destroyed in the wildfires currently burning in Los Angeles. While Spencer and Heidi and their two sons were fortunately able to evacuate safely before their home caught fire last week, they later shared videos to social media of their residence ablaze, which had been captured on their home security cameras.
In the days following the couple’s devastating loss, Spencer began promoting Heidi’s music– specifically her 2010 album Superficial– on social media and encouraging fans to stream his wife’s pop tunes as a way to help them earn money to rebuild what was lost in the wildfire. Spencer’s tireless efforts on various social media platforms to promote Heidi’s music proved to be successful earlier this week as the former reality star’s 15-year-old album went to No. 1 on iTunes, according to Entertainment Tonight.
While multiple celebrities– reality TV and otherwise– have jumped on the trend by sharing videos of themselves dancing and/or singing along to Heidi’s hits, Spencer and Heidi have also received support from some of their former MTV co-stars.
Earlier this week, Spencer’s longtime friend Brody Jenner– who appeared alongside the couple on both ‘The Hills’ and the 2019 reboot, The Hills: New Beginnings– posted a TikTok of himself nodding along to Heidi’s song “I’ll Do It,” telling fans, “POV: This is the only song you are streaming rn.”

Kristin Cavallari of ‘The Hills’ and Whitney Port, who starred on both ‘The Hills’ and ‘The Hills: New Beginnings,’ took to social media to promote Heidi’s music as well, with Whitney proudly telling followers she was listening to Heidi’s music “alllllll day.”
Talan Torriero of Laguna Beach– the mid-2000s reality series that spawned ‘The Hills’– also took to TikTok to bust a move for Spencer and Heidi. Meanwhile, Audrina Patridge opted to keep her dance moves off of the interwebs, choosing to post a link to Heidi’s album and a heartfelt message to the couple instead.
“My heart goes out to Heidi and Spencer during this devastating time as they recover from losing their home in the fires,” she wrote. “Help support by downloading her album.”
Spencer and Heidi’s former castmate Lo Bosworth also took to TikTok this week to share her reaction to Heidi’s song being “at the top of the charts,” later encouraging her followers to “go stream Heidi’s song right now.”
Lo also told Heidi and Spencer that her company, Love Wellness, “would love to step in” and offer a partnership deal to help the couple “move forward.”
“ … we would love to give back to you guys and put some real money in your pockets,” she added, telling Spencer in the caption of her TikTok to check his DMs and emails, “[because] you’re hired.”
As The Ashley told you earlier this week, shortly after Spencer and Heidi shared that they had lost their home, a friend of the couple’s stepped up and launched a GoFundMe (with a fundraising goal of $100,000) to allow friends, family and fans to donate to “Help Spencer and Heidi Rebuild After Fire.”
As of Wednesday afternoon, Spencer and Heidi’s GoFundMe has raised more than $120,000 towards its (now) $150,000 fundraising goal. Spencer and Heidi posted an update to the online fundraising page earlier this week thanking those who have supported them amid their “darkest days.”
“ … Your generosity has been a light in our darkest days,” they wrote. “Whether you donated, purchased Pratt Daddy crystals, streamed and downloaded Heidi’s music, or simply sent your prayers and well-wishes, your actions have given us the strength to carry on as we begin this difficult process of rebuilding.
“We cannot express enough how much your love and support have meant to us,” the update continued. “Each contribution, no matter how big or small, has made a difference in our lives. The outpouring of community spirit has been nothing short of humbling, and we will forever be grateful.”
The couple went on to also thank first responders and firefighters for “working tirelessly to protect our community.”
“Their bravery and selflessness are inspiring, and we are so fortunate to have them on the front lines,” they added.
After receiving some criticism on social media last week for accepting donations, Spencer took to TikTok Live to address his financial situation, insisting that he and Heidi aren’t nearly as wealthy as some may believe. He also assured fans that he and Heidi wouldn’t be asking for or accepting help if they didn’t genuinely need it.
@itsgivingreality This is really sad! So many homes have burned, so many people’s lives have changed in a matter of hours! 🥺 #realitytv #palisadesfire #spencerpratt #fire #itsgivingreality
“ …. I promise you, if I was rich I would not be on TikTok Live asking for your gifts and Amazon Wish Lists and promoting GoFundMe, let’s be clear here,” he stated.
