Andy Cohen has apologized (again) to Heidi Montag for calling The Hills star “trash” on a 2011 episode of Watch What Happens Live, just days after Heidi’s husband Spencer Pratt publicly asked the Bravo host to “link up off-camera” over Andy’s 14-year-old comments about Heidi.
As The Ashley previously told you, Heidi and her husband Spencer Pratt re-entered the pop-culture zeitgeist earlier this month after the couple (mostly Spencer) began promoting Heidi’s music on social media as a way to raise money after losing their home in the Los Angeles wildfires on January 7. Heidi and Spencer’s recent efforts have not only led to Heidi’s music trending on multiple iTunes Charts, it also has a number of fans demanding that the former MTV stars make a return to TV.
According to Spencer, however, that return won’t be happening on Bravo. After a Bravo fan account on X suggested that Spencer stop by Andy’s clubhouse for a ‘Watch What Happens Live’ appearance, Spencer replied “hard pass” after confirming that he was still harboring ill feelings towards Andy for the comments he made about Heidi years ago.
“The person who said he would rather scratch his eyes out [than] watch my wife … hard pass ❤️,” Spencer said of Andy.
Later on, a fan on X encouraged Spencer to give Bravo/Andy another chance, though Spencer again showed no interest in sitting down with “the guy that bashes my wife.”
“Rather sit in my burned house rubble,” he added.
On Monday, @thebravobabe_ posted a clip of Andy’s 2011 rant about Heidi from ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ in which Andy is seen reacting to Heidi claiming on social media at the time that she was in discussions with producers about joining the cast of ‘RHOBH.’
“Professionally, I’m not supposed to discuss any negotiations so I have to parse my words here, that trash is delusional and I would sooner stab my knives into my own eyes than see her on this network,” Andy said in the 14-year-old clip. “Good news, Heidi, you’re on my show tonight because you’re the Jackhole of the Week!”
Spencer went on to respond to the clip this week on X, pointing out that Andy had called Heidi “trash” and informing the Bravo host that he’s available to “link up off camera.”
Andy addressed the recent Speidi shenanigans on Wednesday’s episode of his of SiriusXM radio show Andy Cohen Live.
“ … I did apologize for this on Andy Cohen Live several years ago, I apologized,” Andy said, referring to the first time he made amends for his actions back in 2023.
“So, what I will say also is, that was mean,” Andy continued. “That was 14 years ago and what I really don’t like about it is referring to her as ‘trash’ … I don’t like that at all and I’m really sorry about that, so I apologize again … .”
Andy’s (second) apology comes on the heels of Heidi dropping a diss track aimed at her former friend and co-star Lauren Conrad. Days before Heidi released the petty pop tune, Spencer confirmed on TikTok that he was angry at Lauren for not supporting his and Heidi’s recent efforts as other former stars from ‘The Hills’ and Laguna Beach have done.
Hear Andy’s full apology to Heidi below.
UPDATE! On Wednesday, Spencer contacted TMZ to state that he and Heidi are willing to forgive Andy— if he apologizes to Heidi directly. Spencer says that he wants Andy to reach out privately to Heidi.
And, in true Spencer form, he stated that “he’ll forgive and forget the whole thing if Andy also posts a video dancing to Heidi’s number 1 record, ‘I’ll Do It.'”
As of press time, Andy has not posted the video Spencer has requested.

As if he doesn’t love trash anyway! His entire existence is based on trash.
NO, Andy DO NOT APOLOGISE, she is pure trash and so is he.
Ugh, can’t wait for the next news cycle where they’re done again.
Heidi and Spencer ARE trash, full stop.
Andy has nothing to apologize for and it’s a bit ridiculous that he did. It’s not as if he’s saving face now by apologizing for telling the truth. The truth only hurts when you know they’re right!
No one should ever apologize to these two for anything. In fact, they should apologize just for being who and what they are. I hope their gofundme gets closed, they lose the lawsuit, end up having to return every penny they get donated and are forced to get actual jobs to “rebuild”, cheap, lame ass mofos.
I had two feral TNRs neutered/fixed with their name, lmao. Not sure if that’s a thing everywhere but there are a lot of local animal rescues and groups that do TNR and will “rename” cats whatever you wish with a donation, hehe. For some places it’s a Valentines thing (name it after your ex, then neuter/fix it, lol), others, just a general thing.
